i was confused at first as to why orwyle was so panicked when the guards knocked on the doors but when larys said "i'll have the sentry give you more warning" it made sense- they're trying to rehabilitate aegon, but they're doing it behind aemond's back so that he won't try to stop them and/or kill aegon. this is setting up a future confrontation where aemond gets taken by surprise by aegon showing up and relieving him of his duty and i like where it's going bc i live for the drama

Maester Orwyle has worked for three different supervisors in the span of at least a year. One was an ignorant slut, the other a mean one eyed pirate, and now Lisan al-Gaib. Microsoft 365 would’ve made his life a bit easier. Poor guy can’t catch a break.
