one of the things i just cannot get enough of in the team apocalypse dynamic that's showcased so so so so well in rek's end portal video is just how much underlying trust and respect that everyone has for each other.
like. everyone on this team has a clear field of expertise and/or things they're very well known for being good at, and that's very evident in what we know they've done so far (clown and minute hunting players on day 1, rek's netherwart plan and eye trims plan, sb designing the creeper farm for the osc, minute and oscs in general, sb studying the out of bounds end portal). searching for the end portals is completely in rek's field of expertise; plus, he has the knowledge and experience of having been to every single one.
...so here we have clown telling rek, what do you need me to do? direct me here, you're the one in charge of this mission and i want you to give me the right instructions. to me that's Crazy because clown and minute are usually the ones calling the shots in their respective teams. and that's sorta natural bc both of them are good at pvp which is a highly valuable skill on lifesteal in the first place, but then there's clown deferring Completely to rek, saying that rek can use him and minute as dummies to check for traps and look for clues where rek can't be, and to me That is such an insane display of respect for rek's expertise especially when you put into context that they're also probably The most expensive and deadly dummies on the entire server. and also it's a crazy display of Complete trust that rek will guide them well; it's a display of rek's trust in them to do what he needs them to do and to pull it off.
team apocalypse is just so solid as a group and it's the fact that none of them ever doubted rek even when they took a while to find the portals. it's the fact that even when they fail to find the final portal, clown still comforts rek for beating himself up for not having foresight that he couldn't have known to have. it's the fact that each of them can take the lead because everyone understands each other's strengths and gives them the proper amount of respect they deserve and fully supports them no matter what. i constantly think about minute saying that he can ask the apoc gc anything about the game and rek and sb will share what they know with him. rek knowing he's not as strong in pvp so he'll play support if minute and clown need to ride into battle. rek covering sb while sb is investigating the portal outside the border because he believes that if anyone can pull it off it'd be sb.
tldr i just really really love apocalypse being a team where they have such crazy good synergy, and so much respect for each other, and complete trust in each other, and also insanely good vibes.
and don't even get me started on clown's "i can't imagine there's anybody else i'd love to do this with" what if i just explode into a million pieces. i love team apocalypse. and yet i cannot love team apocalypse more than team apocalypse love each other.
