Carlos looks the same as ever: big eyes, big mouth, big pain in the ass. Oscar turns away, grinding his teeth so he won’t give Carlos a piece of his mind. Whatever they want him to do, he’s not doing it. There’s no way. Not for this country, certainly not for Carlos’s, not even for the greater good. He’s the last man on earth Oscar would ever agree to work with.

When a simple mission doesn't go to plan, Oscar gets called back to headquarters and sent out on a recon mission with a partner from another agency: Carlos Sainz, the agent who's spent the last few years trying to ruin Oscar's life at every opportunity.

Carlos gazes up at the fake blue sky. Dopey grin, contrapposto pose, head as empty as the cottony clouds above. “Look, look. Look, Piastri. It is always daylight.” Oscar imagines pushing him into the piss water canal. "Yeah, cool. Stop dying!" (Oscar is in a time loop and Carlos won't stop dying.)
