Ostromir Headcanons! (CW: Discussion of child death)
- Ostromir actually likes insects, from a distance. He's the kind of guy to have a neatly labeled insect collection.
- He's good with kids. Back when he was involved in those experiments, he would try and cheer up the children before the procedures.
- Some of those children lasted weeks, even months. Ostromir got attached, and dared to hope.
- There is a certain cowardice in the way Ostromir blames himself. It means he doesn't have to blame the Magesterium as a whole, or the people he has known, lived with, and worked beside his entire life.
- He tries to drag Vseslava into social events, sometimes. To mixed results.
- He's had several relationships and following breakups with other Magesters. Vseslava has to listen to him mope about it.
- He's the only one who can reliably read Vseslava's moods. There's a lot of workplace gossip about their relationship
- Privately, he has some reservations about the behavior of his colleagues. But what can he do? They're his friends, his family.
