Major update.
So its been a while, I suck at updating on here sometimes but things have been amazing !
First my trip to Oregon. I went up to Eugene Oregon for about a week and it was amazing, we went to the beach (my first time ever seeing the ocean) and hiked a little and we were busy from pretty much 5/6 am till about 1/2 am every day.
Second, Once I came back from Oregon I signed my papers at work to officially have my promoted title of Ophthalmic Assistant and get my 2 dollar raise !!
Third, I was my OrangeTheory studio's member of the week last week. (Picture below is of me and the coach whos class I attended my very first class there, Morgan
Fourth, I got to see P!nk in concert and it was definitely the best concert I've been to so far! Shes amazing and really knows how to put on a show
Fifth, Ive started looking into buying a house! I absolutely cant wait to find a great home for me, I know itll be a long and probably frustrating experience but Im so ready for it !
Last but not least, I attended my very first 90 minute OTF class today, the class was for a charity called Augie's Quest for ALS. It was a grueling 90 minutes and I was practically dead at the end of it but Im so proud of myself and so glad I participated in this workout!
Wednesday’s workout and more
So my workout this morning was challenging, I was not feeling it and it was Endurance day so we had a 12 minute distance run and row. I hated it but I got through it and I’m glad I went.
I got a Garmin Vivioactive 3 today as well, am switching from a Fitbit Charge HR. Not sure how I’m going to feel about the change but everyone I know loves their Garmin watches so I decided to give it a try.
Also today I signed up for two 5ks my work is sponsoring. One in April called Run for Sight and another for Diabetes in June!
Also it is National Love your pets day
So here are my two fur babies❤️🐾 I love them both to pieces
2 months consistently working out.
Today is officially 2 months of me consistently working out since I participated in sweat 4 surgeries 💪🏻. Also, i have officially worked out 4 days this week (I forgot to post my last workout, so here is today's and yesterdays )
Its been a while
I haven't posted in a while but I am still regularly working out! I fly out to Oregon tomorrow and I am so excited to have a vacation (and get paid while Im there, PTO is a wonderful thing)
Im about half way through my half marathon distance at OrangeTheory! And I hit my top speed on the tredmil today at 6.2 (I know that might seem like nothing to a lot of people, especially runners that follow me but its a huge accomplishment in my book )
I also signed up for a virtual 5k ! I love that Im getting back into a healthy lifestyle as far as physical activity goes, I still really need to conquer my diet though.
L ast 2 workouts
So I started a challenge with OrangeTheory and am doing a half, marathon distance for the month of April so far I've got about 2 miles (it's not accurately shown on these screen shots) so I'm excited about this! And it has helped me with motivation to push myself on the treadmill.
Also I am walking my first 5k that my job is helping sponsors. (I am walking cause my friends dont want to run and partially because I dont think I'll be able to run it just yet)
OrangeTheory workout
I absolutely did not wanna do this today, but I did it anyway
Workout 1/4 and 2/4 this weak
I forgot to post yesterday’s workout, so here is yesterday’s and today’s
I’m trying to get up to 4 workouts a weak. And I think I’m going to do all of this at OrangeTheory, I don’t feel like I can go back to a regular gym at this point so I’ll probably end up canceling my regular gym membership.
There was a brief moment in class today where I felt like a failure and like this is pointless. But I kept going and I know this isn’t pointless and that I’m not a failure. I have more support now than I feel like I’ve ever had with the coaches, employees and members at OrangeTheory and my coworkers/friends. I still have a long way to go and I know this has to be a lifestyle change, it is not temporary.
