The Other Sides Used To Have Nicknames Based On Their Animal

Basically the other sides used to have nicknames based on the animal that was associated with them/that they share traits with.

Virgil/Spider:

Fang

Venom

Peter Panic

Silky

Deceit/Snake:

Danger Noodle

Noodles

Putting it out there-

Once upon a time, I defined the Dark/Other Sides as overachievers- doing their job even when not needed, even when it caused further harm to Thomas’s mental state down the road, even when the other Sides all disagree’d, they did their job to the upmost degree. Every Side, I’d say, had a chance to fall into this category (coughcoughLogancough), or say their the Sides Thomas had repressed, now desperate for attention.

But in light of newer information, what if the one thing that defines Others Sides is just that they’re... Intrusive. You’ve got Remus, who’s literally defined as Intrusive Thoughts, early series Virgil who delighted in barging into conversations he was not wanted in that exact moment, and Deceit, who tricks his way into intruding on private conversations and moments by pretending to be someone else. Makes me wonder about that last side...

Just a little something about the Dark Sides/Others

I noticed that all the dark sides we have so far (Deceit, Remus, and Virgil since he used to be) have something going on with their hair. Virgil has his emo fringe, obviously. Deceit has a hat, and Remus has the white streak. Just thought it was interesting.

I also saw someone else pointing out that they also all have eyeshadow of some sort (Deceit just on his left eye).

Next dark side hc?

All I've got is that they're most likely to be orange.

They could also be stronger/ more terrifying than the others. Virgil happens to not want to bring them into being. Choosing to ignore the issue/ trying to distract Thomas so that he doesn't cause their appearance.

Virgil doesn't want to face the 'hey buddy, why'd ya leave?' Angst could be in place.

Lying/self preservation, anxiety/ paranoia and honesty/intrusive thoughts can all work together to stab you in the back, putting a pause in your life. Whatever the other side is it could very well be hard to break from it's clutches. Sorry for focusing on the bad side of mental health here.

There Are Good sides to the other sides ( I don't really like calling them dark sides for this reason).

They just happen to be a nuisance to break away from and see the good in it.

Just like there is good in the bad, there is bad in the good. The light sides can be "dark".
