Friends are off getting married & having kids, but I'd rather teach my complex 7 & 8 year old students to be nice and see the world for what it truly is. That to me is rewarding, to show these kids all that they are capable of being rather than pursuing my own desires.

Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves, not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others.
From the Heart — Hidden in Christ
If you are hidden in Christ, it means you are no longer the one on display—Christ is. Col 3:3 “For you died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God.” (NKJV) Your emotions bow to His authority. Your reactions become His responses. Your heart becomes His stage.
When you are truly hidden in Him, the dislike you once carried for your brother has no voice. The irritation, the offense, the old nature—that carnal reflex—has lost its place. Col 3:9–10 “For you have put off the old man with his deeds, and have put on the new man…” (NKJV)
When your brother sins against you, you love him. When those closest to you disappoint you, your heart still reveals Jesus. This is the mark of one who walks in the Spirit and not the flesh. John 13:35 “By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.” (NKJV)
You cannot claim to belong to Christ and operate in a different spirit. Romans 8:9 “If anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he is not His.” (NKJV)
Yesterday, while having lunch with Andi, I crossed paths with a pastor who, years ago, chose to break the friendship we once shared. He saw me, as I did him, but we never greeted or knowledged each other. We simply passed each other by. In that moment, the Holy Spirit whispered with conviction, “Why did you not represent Me when the opportunity arose?”
I immediately had to repent. It wasn’t about how he treated me—it was about how Christ should have been revealed through me.
Friend, be Jesus. You are a representative of the Kingdom of God—act like it. Let your life preach louder than your words. Let Christ be the one people encounter when they cross your path. Matt 5:16 “Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.” (NKJV)

I LOVE THIS ANALOGY:
You are holding a cup of coffee when someone comes along and bumps into you or shakes your arm, making you spill your coffee everywhere.
Why did you spill the coffee?
"Because someone bumped into me!!!"
Wrong answer.
You spilled the coffee because there was coffee in your cup.
Had there been tea in the cup, you would have spilled tea.
Whatevr is inside the cup is what will spill out.
Therefore, when life comes along and shakes you (which WILL happen), whatever is inside you will come out. It's easy to fake it, until you get rattled.
So we have to ask ourselves... “what's in my cup?"
When life gets tough, what spills over?
Joy, gratitude, peace and humility?
Anger, bitterness, victim mentality and quitting tendencies?
Life provids the cup, YOU choose how to fill it.
Today let's work towards filling our cups with gratitude, forgiveness, joy, words of affrmation, resilience, positivity; and kindness, gentleness and love for others.

Don’t be selfish; don’t try to impress others. Be humble, thinking of others as better than yourselves. Don’t look out only for your own interests, but take an interest in others, too.
