First things first... just be nice!! If you're here I assume it's to read fan-fic just like the rest of us.
I typically only write fem!reader and gn!reader only.
I will write smut, angst, fluff (we all need it) age difference tropes, fictional step-cest, and more.
Hard NO's - What I won’t write is pedophilia, scat play, incest.
If you have ANY questions about what I will and won't write please message me. It's honestly just too much to write it all here.

"I still don't know why I need to be blindfolded for this," I say, only to earn a huff from my ever-loving girlfriend.
"Because Liz, for the last time, it's a surprise!" Even though I can't see her, I know she's smiling, which makes me smile. "You said that last time." I chuckle, making her huff again. "I told you we could've stayed with Ash and Louis or rented a hotel room near the premiere tomorrow!"
Y/N softly squeezes my hand. "And I told you that I didn't want to do that because I took care of the accommodations! Plus, since you sold your place here. In New York, and I don't have one anymore, I'd be nice if you just let me splurge on you occasionally, Liz." She lifts my hand and places a kiss on my ring finger.
And don't freak out! There's no ring on it.
"I know," I respond with a calm voice. "I appreciate this." I squeeze her hand again. "But..." I start. "Yes?" Y/N asks. "Tell me again why I need to be blindfolded." Before Y/N can answer or ignore me, the black SUV comes to a stop. "Oh, thank God." I hear Y/N mummer under her breath. "Hey!" I respond.
"Don't lift that blindfold yet, Olsen!" I can feel Y/N pointing at me with a stern look before I hear her unbuckle her seat belt. I imagine her face trying to look as serious as possible, making me giggle. I give a fake salute and wait for Y/N to retrieve me once I hear her door close. Followed by the trunk and her thanking the driver.
"Okay!" Y/N says as she opens my door. "Unbuckle yourself and then gently lift the blindfold off. I don't want your eyes to get strained immediately." I do as she says and reach for her hand before I open my eyes. "You can look." She says once my two feet land on the ground.
I yank the blindfold off my head and surprisingly don't get blinded by the sun, thanks to Y/N holding her hands out above me. But I'm too focused on the size and elegance of the hotel to even make note of where we are staying. Regardless, it's too much. "Y/N!" I instantly turn around to scold her, but she's correctly assumed how I would react because she's already several feet ahead of me, waiting by the doorman with a smile. "Come on, Liz!" She says in a singsong manner.
I open my mouth to argue, but multiple bellhops pass by me with our luggage.
I've lost this battle.
Y/N notices, and her smile grows wider. "You know you love me!" She whispers to me once we walk inside the hotel hand in hand. "You're lucky I do," I whisper back, earning a chuckle from my girlfriend.
We get checked in, and Y/N doesn't let me look at the total cost of everything. I'm like 99% sure she and the woman behind the counter were speaking in code. But after giving a courtesy picture, Y/N and I have made it to our gigantic suite. Bags and suitcases lay open on our bed. Drawers open and hangers ready.
"You really didn't have to do this." I reaffirm to my loving partner. She looks up from her shirts and smiles. "I know." She says back before closing one of her bags and moving it to rest on the floor across the room. "Remind me why we packed so much for three to four days max?" She asks as she returns to open my next suitcase.
"Because you and I are a hectic couple." I send an air kiss Y/N's way, and thankfully, she looks up just in time to catch it. "Damn me and my contractual obligations," Y/N whispers, making me laugh. "Besides." I start as I move the lot of our dresses and designer brand wardrobe that shouldn't be creased. "You're gonna look so hot at the premiere tomorrow night." I wrap my arms around her and do my best to place my chin on her shoulder.
Why is she still wearing her shoes?
"And you are going to be the biggest star. Come Friday night, everyone will know the track list to your album, and Saturday radio shows don't just happen!" I hid my teasing smile as I kissed her clothed shoulder. "Oh, they don't?" She smirks at me as she turns to cup my chin. "You're a dream." She whispers just before her lips touch mine. "Only for you," I whisper back.
"And let's not forget the lunches with the twins and Scarlett. Oh, and SNL!" I add on.
Y/N holds me close as she kisses the top of my head. "No, you have SNL! I'm just there to support your one scene with Benedict!" I roll my eyes. "And I could never forget about Scarlett," Y/N says, burning my ears. "And the twins!" I make sure to emphasize, yet all I get back is. "Hmm mmh Scarlett..."
"Okay," I reply as I remove Y/N's hands from me to return to my suitcase. "Babe-" "Nope." I cut her off. "You did this to yourself."
Just for the record, I'm not actually mad.
But does finding out your girlfriend has a Natasha Romanoff Lock Screen and this would be your camera roll if you dated Natasha Romanoff picture on her Home Screen kind of rub you the wrong way?
Maybe. Who's to say?
Y/N POV
I send a smile Liz's way and only earn a flat smile and a raise of the eyebrows.
Yep, she's still upset about the Lock Screen. A more intelligent version of me definitely would've changed it by now.
Liz POV
"Tell you what," Y/N speaks up after a long three minutes of silence. I look up at her and already feel myself warming back up when I see her puppy dog eyes and kissable face. "Why don't I take these." She holds up our toiletries bag. "Into our gorgeous, spacious marbly bathroom. Drop some calming oils and a bath bomb if you're feeling it into a hot waiting bubble bath. Would that make even..." Y/N moves around the bed and starts walking towards me. "The tiniest amount of difference..." She sits on the bed in front of me and pouts. "To make you love me again!"
I keep a glare on her, but the longer I look, the easier it becomes to crack.
And I do.
My jaw unclenches as I laugh with a huge smile on my face. "And I thought I was the award-winning actress!" I smirk as I see the glow on Y/N's face. "Oh, Olsen!" She laughs as her lips steal a kiss from mine. "You have no idea." She throws her arms around as she speaks and exaggerates. "I'd run the gauntlet. Emmys. Oscars. Tony's! You name it!"
"Would you now!?" I faux excitement as I close my last suitcase and place it into the corner of the room. Away from us. "Duh." She replies like a kid. I playfully roll my eyes as I pick up my last bag. My night bag. I begin to unzip it before Y/N stops me. "So, is that a yes?" She asks with her fingers on my left hand. I nod before leaning in. "Just kiss me." She does and tries her best to keep a moan inside, but I hear it slip out.
When our lips separate, she blushes and quickly sneaks to the bathroom. "Don't unpack. I'll do the rest while you relax."
I agree to her words, and as I wait, I find myself drawn to the ginormous window taking up the length of the entire room.
With the curtains drawn back from here, you can see the world move.
I place my hand on the warm glass from the late afternoon sun and do my best to look down but back away, scared. I swallow and take a breath as I make myself look up at the sky. The orange and pink colors rolling over themselves to change. The beauty and simplicity of it all.
I lose track of how long I've been looking out, only to jump and scream when a hand lands on my shoulder. Earning a scream back. "Hey!" My girlfriend turns me around to face her. "It's just me! It's just me. I didn't mean to scare you! I'm sorry!" She pulls me into a quick hug and kisses my forehead as I regulate my breathing. "It's okay," I respond. "I just didn't hear you."
Y/N pulls away from the hug and moves her hands down to my hips. "You okay?" She starts squeezing my side. The movement of her rolling thumbs makes me weak. "I am." I turn my head to the side and look out to the sky. "It's just very pretty tonight."
"I think it's beautiful every night." I laugh and turn my head back to face Y/N, who, of course, never looked out the window. "Cheesy," I say before kissing her. "Is it ready?" Y/N nods and begins to lead me to the bathroom before I speed past them. "Can I not take you there? Make sure the water is perfect?" I shake my head. "No, I think I can do that all on my own."
Y/N bites her lip. "Are you sure?" I turn on the innocence and scrunch my nose. "I think I can manage... why did you maybe think you were gonna.. Y/N Y/L/N!! You didn't possibly think you were going to help me get undressed, did you?!" I make a shocked face and practically moan with surprise. "What a bad girl." I bite my bottom lip and lift an eyebrow at Y/N, which only makes her groan and lean down to kiss me, but I back away just in time. "I think some unpacking needs to be done." And just as I'm about to close the door on my girlfriend's shocked face, I smile at her. "Thank you for this baby. Really."
I watch her face change and blush. "You're welcome, my love." She smiles at me and starts to lean in for one last kiss, but I pull back and bite my lips again before saying. "Change your wallpaper."
Y/N POV
With that, the sliding door closes in front of me. I'm left shocked and proud at how Liz just got me.
"I love you too!" I call out to the closed bathroom as I turn around to feel the tips of my ears burning. "The water is perfect! Thank you!" I hear Liz call out, making me smile.
I look out the window and watch as the night rolls into the sky. There is something about a city like this once it's dark. It's like the flip gets switched off, and people can be freer. I bite my lip in thought before turning my body to the task at hand. Unpacking.
I shed my hoodie and be sure to place it into one of Liz's drawers so it smells like her. Thanks to my shower and act of hair washing, my hoodie is starting to smell like me, and we simply can't have that.
I turn back and unzip the last of Liz's bag to find some extra underwear and whatnot before feeling something hard under the surface layer. I stop briefly in fear. Slowly, I move my hand onto the object again. She didn't bag vegetables, did she? Maybe her kitchenwear again?
It's not until I reach the base of the object that I realize what my fingers have been touching. I quickly look up to the bathroom door and then back down. I carefully move everything else out of the way before revealing the stowaway.
My girlfriend's red 6.5" dildo with the strapon attachments sitting at the bottom of the case.
"How did TSA not pull her off to the side?" I whisper to myself as I hold the dildo in my hand. "When did she get you?" I question the fake cock as I looked down and grabbed that harness.
"Now what?" I ask nobody after standing there staring at the toy. And the longer I look, the more the fire grows inside of me to have my girlfriend on all fours for me. "Okay," I whisper and let the toy rest on the bed as I speed-run unpacking the rest of our combined things.
I didn't even bother to unpack the little vibrating toy that I had stowed away that I know Lizzie knows I brought.
Listen, sometimes your girlfriend's job can take up a lot of time, and she knows how hot she looks when she leaves to go promote movies, so a little relief never hurts anyone.
But now, what do I do? Where do I put it? Do I keep it out? Do I put it on? Do I wait for Liz? Do I tell her I found it?
I can feel myself becoming hotter as these questions knock around my head. But why am I so nervous?? I mean, she brought it for a reason.
I nod to myself and think it over before confirming my decision.
I stand up and slowly walk toward the giant mirror in our room. I stop and look myself over.
Then I smile.
I'm proud of how far I've come in the past two years. Proud of my body and the fact that I know how fucking hot I look.
So, with a smirk, I move my hands down from my hips around to the backside of my pants. Looking at myself in the mirror. I turn slightly, bend forward, and begin pulling my grey, comfy joggers off. Biting my bottom lip when I see my black lace underwear appear, knowing how much Liz loves it.
Truth be told, I forgot I put this pair on this morning.
The pair of joggers hits the floor, and I bring my hands up from the bottom of my ass. Holding onto my skin until I reach a high enough point where it slips out of my hands, causing my ass to jiggle as it reforms to a fuckable backside for Liz. I bite my tongue and turn ever so slightly again as I look at myself standing in my underwear and Liz's white Circle of Life t-shirt.
You know, the one she wears everywhere?
I move my hands to the front side. Letting my fingers glide over the bumps in the lace on the hips of my panties before they find the bottom of the shirt. I look down and begin pulling up the shirt. Gripping tightly onto the hem as it rises up my body. My fingernails dragging against my skin. The cool air making contact, sending a wave of goosebumps up my body. My hands make contact with my nipples as they become stiff.
I throw the shirt off my body and take a step out of the joggers at my feet, bending over to look at my face in the mirror.
I look beautiful. I smile and tilt my head before standing up and looking down. I push my hands into my boobs and begin roughly pulling and kneading my skin. Sending jolts of pain and pleasure to my pussy.
I can feel the lace that sits below my slit becoming wetter. I throw my head back quietly, moaning when I bring one of my hands down to touch myself. My middle finger runs over the damp spot before slowly bringing the tip of my finger up and to my clothed clit. I continue to move my finger up and down. The friction from my underwear makes it feel oh so fucking good.
I struggle to quiet another moan as my finger moves in a circular motion. I hold my mouth open and let out a shaky breath. "Fuck." I whisper as I bring my head back down to look at myself.
I can see the shine in my own eyes as my finger doesn't stop. I smirk as I move my one hand from my left nipple to my throat.
"Fuck Liz. I'm such a fucking slut. I'm such a slut for you." I cry out.
If I keep going, I won't stop, but I have to.
I let out another moan that rips through my throat as I stand up on my tippy toes before stumbling forward. Luckily, I grab onto the nearby desk.
As I catch myself and my breath, I look in the mirror and smile at the barely visible sweat on my forehead. My hair thrown into my face a bit.
The red hue on my cheeks.
As I'm now bent over with a hand on the desk, I return my right hand back to my clothed clit before bringing it back up to slip inside my panties. "Oh shit.." I cry out as I let my fingers flow through my hairs and down to my wet, soaked cunt.
My middle and ring finger sliding over my hole before bringing the tips up and inside. "Ahh!" My hand turns into a fist on the desk as my own teasing brings me closer and closer to the end goal. I pull my wet fingers out and back in before I run them up my clit once again before freezing.
The sliding bathroom door hits the end of the frame.
"Y/N?" Liz questions as I have my back to her.
But when I look in the mirror, I see her, and she sees me.
I catch my breath and smile as I don't pull my eyes away from the mirror, Liz. "Yes?"
A shocked Liz is wrapped in a towel. Just staring as she looks up my legs. To my panty-covered ass and then up my back muscles. In the mirror, I see her stop at my shoulder before he green eyes look at me in the mirror. "Is there something that you'd like to say?"
She's teasing me.
She caught me, and we both know it.
I shudder as I pull my fingers past my clit and out of my underwear. "I... I thought you would be longer." I then turn around to face my girlfriend. Who once again scans my body up and down with her eyes. I see the twinkle in them, and she does her best to hide the smirk on her face, but I see it. "I forgot something." Liz takes a step out of the bathroom door frame. "But now I can't remember what I forgot."
How convenient.
She smiles and bats her eyes. "Y/N?" Liz tilts her head as she moves her left hand to hold her towel up.
"Yes?" I ask when Liz's right hand comes down to my hand. The one that I was fucking myself with. "What brought this on?" Liz asks as she takes my hand up and towards her pretty pink lips.
"I want you to be honest."
Liz opens her mouth and rests my middle finger on her flat tongue before wrapping her soft lips around it, sucking it with a teasing smirk and a raised eyebrow. My mouth drops in pleasure. My finger slides deeper into her mouth with a moan as I find it hard for words to leave my own throat.
"I- uh- I f-found your toy." I stumble my way through with a flushed face as Liz pulls my finger out of her mouth, but not without a long lick of her tongue.
"My toy?" She asks with her green eyes staying on me.
I nod. "Your toy," I say, reacting to the cool air hitting my wet finger still in Liz's hand as I gesture with my head to the strapon lying on the bed. Liz turns her head and hides a smile before turning back to me. "You like it?" I nod. "Good girl." She says before allowing her left hand to let go of the white towel.
Liz brings my hand to her right breast and squeezes. "Kiss me." She whispers into the air that separates us, and within a second, my lips crash into hers. I let her tongue meet mine in the middle and moan into her mouth when her hand reaches the center of my legs.
"Keep making those pretty noises for me. I got you." Liz speaks into my lips as I yelp when her hand yanks off my black lace underwear.
"I'll buy you a new pair."
What remains falls to the floor. "Thank you." I nod and kiss Liz again before she cranes her neck. "No marks. I mean it." She sternly warns me as her hands land on my hips, pulling me closer to her. "Now come here." She bites a smile as we end up crashing onto the bed. Our bodies colliding with no intention of ever letting the other go.
The warmth builds, as does the sweat, and I can't find a better place for my hands to be than one in her hair and the other spreading open her legs to feel her wet pussy.
A moan ripples through Liz. The soft mattress and expensive comforter makes my body react as I roughly kiss my girlfriend's body again and again.
Going as far as to even bite her upper chest, earning a groan of pleasure. "Fuck, baby!" Liz yells out.
I smile and rejoice at the sounds coming from Liz's beautiful mouth, focusing on her boobs and doing my best not to mark them.
Meanwhile, my right knee pushes Liz's left thigh away. With a smile, I move my middle and ring finger down and in-between Liz's lips. Gathering up her wetness until I reach the source and softly slip my fingers inside without much struggle. "Oh, my Fu-fuck!" Liz lifts her head before crashing it back down.
"Don't stop, baby." Those three words drip from Liz like honey.
"I won't, sweetheart," I speak into Liz's ear as I bring myself back up her body. Liz nods with her eyes closed as I focus on her neck. Kissing the most intimate of spots as I pick up the pace to finger fuck my girlfriend's pussy. She's taking my fingers so well and coating them like it's our first fuck in months.
But we both know that's not true.
Liz exclaims as she breathes out another moan. Her hand running up my bare back to my hair. She bunches a fist in it as our bodies stick to one another. Every time I pump in and out of her, she moans into my ear.
"Oh god."
She grips my hair and makes my head pull back. It hurts, but it causes me to flinch in pleasure as my wet clit brushes past her knee.
"Y/N! Baby!" Liz moans. "Yeah?" I kiss her again and wait as my fingers feel Liz tighten around me. "I'm clo-close! Keep going, baby!" I nod and lazily plant kisses across the top half of her body as I move my hips in a circular motion on Liz's leg as my fingers keep their pace inside her beautiful pink pussy.
Liz gasps as I feel her tighten around my fingers. She's losing control over her body as her breath becomes more ragged, and her thighs start to move inward to close around my hand. "Y/N... F-fuck."
Her tangling body underneath mine makes me grow wetter for her. Her thighs finally close around my hand, making me smile as she gets pushed over the edge.
She whimpers and does her best to push my arm away, but I keep my fingers curled up inside of her.
"Not yet, sweetheart." I breathe out as I keep riding her leg. "You got to cum now; you can watch me," I say with a teasing smile as I do let my finger slip out from her, but all I do is bring them to her sensitive clit. Liz moans and whimpers, making me feral.
"Keep making those noises, baby."
It's not that much longer I find myself collapsing on top of her. The two of us covered in sweat and each other.
"You always amaze me." Liz turns her head and says to me, after several restful minutes. "I'm pretty sure that's you," I reply as my eyes look from her own green ones and down the marks I left on her body.
Oops.
Liz laughs as she looks at the ceiling. "What?" I ask. "I think we got a little carried away and forgot something."
We both know what she's talking about.
"Did we?" I ask as I rest my head on my hand. "Or did you think this was just a one-round kinda night?"
Liz turns her body more to face me. "Oh baby, I never thought we would stop at one." I bite my lip to hide my smile. "Don't hide now, pretty girl." Liz pulls my lip from my teeth and cups my chin. "You were showing yourself off earlier, so don't hide now. Understand?"
Liz gently guides my chin up and down until I nod along. "Yes, Li- Yes, Mommy." Liz smiles with a sparkle in her eye. "I taught you well, haven't I?"
I nod again. "Come here." She whispers to me as she pulls my chin closer to her lips. "Kiss me." She gently requests.
The kiss is full of passion as we melt into one another.
God, I love her.
Liz removes her hand from my chin and brings it to my arm until I feel her hand move up and under my hair around the back of my neck. She gives a squeeze. "Baby..." I stop kissing her as and wait for her to continue. "Yes?"
With a smirk, she requests for me to get up and off of her. I oblige and sit up on the bed on my knees. Liz leans forward and kisses me before getting up. She gives her butt a little shake in front of me before grabbing the strap and walking towards the bathroom.
"Y/N?" She turns to face me, but my eyes never left her body. "Don't you think the city looks beautiful at night?"
Before I can answer, she slips into the bathroom, locking the door. I turn from the closed door to the giant windows now showcasing the black night sky.
She wants me to get up and look, right?
I make the decision and place my butt on the soft bed before moving to the edge. My clit brushes against the comforter of the bed, causing me to jolt in pleasure.
As my feet touch the cool floor, I feel a wave of wash over my warm body, making me smile.
The closer I get to the window, the more the glass disappears until, eventually, it feels like it is just me in the sky, looking at the glowing lights and distant stars. Until... I hear the bathroom door open.
My body aches as I turn and look at the gorgeous sight before me. "Fuck.."
Liz bites her lip and scrunches her nose at me as her hands fall from her shoulders to her boobs. She gives them a light squeeze as my eyes travel further down her abdomen, landing on the captivating red 6.5" dildo strapon.
"You know..." Liz takes a step towards me, and I hold in a moan as I watch the faux cock jiggle. "If you keep your mouth open like that.. who knows what could happen.." I bring my eyes back up and see Liz's green eyes are significantly darker.
"But maybe you'd like that?" Liz questions as she places her right hand on my hip. Cupping my chin with her left. "I mean, look at you." I try to, but she keeps my head in place. "Already wet again for me."
Liz's eyes pool to the center of my legs. And she's right. I feel it. I want- need her so bad.
"You want Mommy?" I quietly nod. "You can speak up; its okay." She coos as she pats my cheek.
"Yes, Mommy. I do."
Liz smiles and pinches my hip. She loves being in control, especially like this.
"Turn around for me, baby." She moves her hands across my body and up my back as I easily do what she says and turn my body towards the window. "Scoot up a bit. Get closer." Liz rubs her hands up and down before settling on my ass as she helps me. "Place your hands flat on the glass, baby."
It now dawns on me that I'm completely naked, standing in front of the window about to be fucked in before the whole city of New York.
I'm only broken out of my thoughts when Liz's hand makes contact with my ass.
I jump in surprise as the stinging settles and the skin turns red.
"I asked you a question."
"I'm sorry.." I turn my head to the side to try and look back at my girlfriend. "What did you ask me?" Liz moves her hands to my hips and brings her body closer. The tip of the dildo rubbing up against my pink folds. "I asked if you like the view?" I turn my head and look out once again. "I do."
"Good." She says with lust in her eyes as she moves them from the back of my head down my body. "Me too." She moves closer, forcing the tip to bump against my entrance. "Mommy loves you, and you're gonna take her so well, aren't you?"
I nod and do my best to look back at Liz, but I fail when she slides the red cock into me. Ripping a moan from my throat as I her thighs hit my own.
"Fuck you were wetter than I thought." I don't answer as I stand there with a shaky breath.
After a minute, to get used to the size, my hands spread themselves on the glass of the window. "Oh- fuck, Mommy!" The words fall from my mouth that hangs open. Liz reacts by moving in and out at a slow pace.
I squeeze my eyes shut and let the pleasure of Liz fucking me take over.
"So good." I manage to say, causing Liz to hum back as she squeezes my hips. "You feel so good, Y/N." Liz pumps in and out of me faster now as she feels the pleasure herself.
"You're taking me so well, sweetheart!" She joys at the sight of my lips, taking her fully. I moan. "Yes! Liz-!"
Liz increases her pace as her hands roughly grip my hips. Her trimmed nails leaving crescent moons on my body. The pain feeling good. The markings of my girlfriend look good, too.
I hear her praises and feel her push my body up against the cold glass, creating another wave of pleasure flush throughout my body. My nipples are hard against the glass. "Keep making those noises, pretty girl!" Liz whispers as she leans closer and closer into me. Pushing the cock further in. "You're doing so good!"
I can feel the tightening in my stomach. "I'm gonna- fuck- I'm gonna-"
"Shh shh, not yet baby!" Liz wraps her arm around my chest to pull me closer. "Not yet, baby. I want you to cum with me." I shut my eyes tighter and do my best to hold on slightly longer, but it's a losing battle.
"Please, Mommy! Please!" I whine, forcing Liz to move her arm from around my chest to have her hand on my throat. "Just a bit more!" She breaths near my ear and squeezes my neck.
Another moan leaves my lips as it gets harder to breathe.
But Liz doesn't slow down her assault on my pussy with her cock. She goes faster and faster as her grunts and moans become more animalistic. Her kisses on my neck and back became sloppy. "Ah fuck! I want you to cum for me!" She cries out as my body gets sandwiched between her and the glass.
We both don't waste any more time as our overwhelming orgasms ripple through each of us.
Liz falls onto me as I hold myself up against the glass. Smudges and smears can be seen clearly. "I love you," Liz whispers as her lips touch my ear.
"I love you too," I say after catching my breath.
We gleam and glistle as the sweat rests on our skin. Our bodies ache, and it takes a while before we eventually remove the strapon and hardness from Liz and collapse onto the bed.
We lay naked and uncovered on the white sheets, just holding one another, whispering sweet nothings.
It's not long before I suggest that we should shower together.
But when I pull my eyes away from my markings on the window, I find Liz fast asleep.
_
For the first time in a long time. I wake up before Liz.
I blink my eyes open and do my best to move as the soreness flows through my body. I know it's going to suck later, but for right now, looking at my peaceful sleeping girlfriend is making me melt.
She's ethereal at all times, especially with this glow surrounding her.
I bite my lip and smile as I lean forward and gently plant a kiss on the forehead. My eyes move from her face to her exposed arms, and I make a face of the finest amount of regret when I see the hickies and spots of red leaving her neck.
I turn away and grab the hotel room iPad off the dock to order room service.
This will help later.
As I skim through the hundreds of options for food, I get hit with a memory of the morning after our first night together.
"Time for breakfast!" I go to help Liz, but she intercepts me and softly pushes me onto the bed, stopping me. I laugh at how cute she is being. "Oh no, you don't! I'm making breakfast for you! Waffles or pancakes? There's only one correct choice, Y/N!"
"Okay, Liz." She watches me with glee as I get myself comfortable in what I assume is her bed. I make a thinking face just for Liz, even though I know the answer. "Waffles." I confidently state.
Liz gives a big ole smile. "Correct, you are! I was worried I would have to kick you to the curb!" Liz begins getting off the bed, heading towards the door.
"I don't know, Liz. We had a good time last night, so I don't think you're getting rid of me anytime soon."
I look from the iPad to Liz, and my cheeks are going to start hurting soon if I don't stop smiling.
But I can't help it.
Despite multiple people, including Liz and myself... we're still together. Our love for one another grows more every day. And I know that whatever happens in the future, we'll be ready for it!
I hum and think as I look out the giant windows past the curtains and the smudges. It's the morning of daylight. The golden orange sun is doing its best to peek out from behind the fresh clouds.
I don't know how it exactly happened, but one second, I was finishing up the order for breakfast.
And the next...
I had my back to Liz, and I was on my phone going from one website to another.
Not satisfied with the options in front of me. With a huff, I open my maps app and start typing:
ring shops ne-
"Babe?"
I lock my phone and slip it under my pillow before turning over with a smile. A genuine smile as I roll myself closer to Liz. And no matter what she thinks about her morning breath, I kiss her.
I kiss her with the softness and passion that we share. I smile and whisper an I love you before she pulls me in again.
She whispers an I love you back before the next thing I know, she's fallen asleep once again.
_
Breakfast and our shower feels like forever ago as I look away from glaring eyes.
Safe to say, Liz's makeup artist was not happy with me. In addition to that, I couldn't bring myself to look Clayton in the eyes once he arrived for Liz's hair. We briefly talked about my music and his career. The party at Kathyrn's house and about how he was in the city for another actress, so this was much to the benefit of Liz.
And I don't know how it happened, but Clay somehow got me roped into going to lunch with him once we get back to LA.
I think I just nodded along to whatever he wanted, as he knew what Liz's sex hair looked like.
Anyways...
Hours later, Liz and I are in the back of a black SUV on the way to the NY Premiere of Multiverse of Madness.
It's my second premiere, so I'm not as nervous as before, but that doesn't stop my mind from wandering as the car rolls to a stop.
"Can you give us a minute?" I hear Liz's voice kindly ask the driver, who steps out and waits outside the vehicle. "What are you doing?" I ask as she takes my hand in hers. "Making sure my girlfriend is alright."
Liz smiles at me. "Is she?"
I nod. "She is. Better now, too." Liz blows a kiss at me, knowing we'd both be crucified if our lipstick got smudged all over each other.
"Anything on your mind?" Liz asks me, and it's nothing pressing or super serious. "I think my nerves are just starting to bubble to the surface."
"Because of the premiere?" I shake my head. "Because of what comes after." Liz nods her head, understanding.
"I have the live stream for the tracklist tomorrow night at the studio. The radio show the next day—podcast in the afternoon. We have dinner with the twins. Then next week is the last cuts for the album." Liz places her hands on my cheeks and rubs her thumb up and down. "Plus, I still have not heard back from the studio about the title."
"I'm proud of you."
Just like that, the world's weight is being lifted off my shoulders.
And I don't mean to have these two words come out of my mouth, but they do. "You are?"
I ask as I clear my throat.
"How many times do I have to tell you? I am baby." Her eyes shine to me. "You've come so far, and I'll never stop telling you. It's going to be stressful the next few weeks, and then the album is going to come out. And then your life will really change! But never forget how proud I am of you." She looks at me. "And if you need me, tell me."
I didn't know I needed to hear this, but Liz knew I did.
"I will. I love you."
"I love you too. Just let me know when you're ready."
Liz puts her hand in mine as she sits next to me. I take a deep breath, think back to this morning, and smile, knowing that I must finish my Google Maps search.
Liz POV
"Okay," Y/N says as she squeezes my hand back. "Oh, by the way." I stop her as she gets ready to exit the SUV. "I think you look hot."
Y/N blushes. "Thanks, my girlfriend picked out my suit."
Y/N then leaves me no time to come up with a witty response as she steps out of the car to the roar of fans and media personnel. Cameras start flashing as I reach my hand out to Y/N's.
They love us.
An assistant is right there by our side as Y/N, and I walk hand in hand through the entranceway to the interior of the building.
"Okay. You both know how to do this. Y/N- sorry Hex, you and Lizzie will take photos together before Lizzie; you go to the next stop and get some by yourself for promo before you finish at interviews." Y/N and I nod our heads along. "Hex..." I still can't believe this is a thing. "Marvel wants Lizzie's interviews to be about Wanda and the picture." I tilt my head at this new piece of information. I see Y/N also glance my way out of the corner of her eye. "But feel free to join her. It's not personal. I think it's just cross-synergies the mouse doesn't want." They quietly say.
I see a sigh of relief leave Y/N. "Okay." She laughs.
"The internet loves you too! Have fun!" The assistant scurries off as other stars begin to show up. Rachel McAdams being one of them.
I rapidly turn my head away from her. I know I'll embarrass myself if I speak to her.
"Shall we?" Y/N looks at me with a smile.
"I hear the internet loves us!"

@unhappyknob kindly d*e 😌 thank you.
@DarkChokeHold 💀Hex is now standing off to the side watching Lizzie conduct an interview like a puppy.
@theGenevaCuntvention actually crying rn because I'm in the same room as Lizzie again
Y/N POV
I watch Lizzie start conducting an interview in awe of her. God, I'm proud of her. Even after everything she went through while making this movie and after the fact. Our relationship. Robbie and me. Robbie ripping Hattie away from her.
I watch her stand tall and with a smile. She truly has a talent and personality I've never seen in someone else before.
I know the fans and media can see the heart eyes and goofy grin I'm wearing, but I don't care.
As she moves onto another person with a microphone, I look around and see cameras pointed in one direction.
Might as well join in on the fun, right?
I pull my phone out and hold it up before opening my camera.

After my second solo interview, I finally caught Y/N taking pictures of me. She looks absolutely adorable behind the camera.
Who knows, maybe in another life, music didn't work out, and instead, we fell in love while she was directing a show of mine.
"Those better be deleted!" I say as I make my to Y/N's waiting arms. She does nothing but laugh and claims she has no idea what I'm talking about.
I playfully roll my eyes at her lame joke before looking out to the rows of fans that have been standing here watching. I wave and smile at the faces of the fans, who light up.
Y/N joins me, and the assistant was right. The internet must love us because the noise gets louder, taking Y/N and myself by surprise. Y/N keeps her smile wide as she wraps an arm around my waist. Pulling my body closer to her.
In an effort to keep my thoughts pure, I look at the faces in the front row of fans and stop when I look at a familiar-looking girl.
@theGenevaCuntvention SHE JUST LOOKED AT ME!!!
"Y/N..." I start as we move down to the end of the entrance to the premiere. "Yes?" She turns to look at me as I keep my eyes on the freckle-faced redhead. "The girl in the front..." I point at her. (Yes, I know it isn't polite. 🙄) "...she looks familiar- Oh My God!" It clicks. "That's Geneva!"
Y/N throws her head from me to Geneva and back. "The Geneva from the airport!? The one you mentioned in People's Magazine?!" I nod to all her questions and smile wide. "Wow, she's already growing up. Kinda like the twins- Y/N?"
When I turn my head to talk to my girlfriend, she's gone. It isn't until I look towards the fans that I see security chasing after Y/N as she is hugging a crying Geneva.
@DarkChokeHold omg Lizzie just pointed to a fan and Hex turned and waved before squinting and running over to them!
@DarkChokeHold I don't think she was allowed to do that because security quickly ran to catch up to Hex.
@theGenevaCuntvention HEX JUST THANKED ME!!??? HUGGED ME AND TOLD ME I LOOKED BEAUTIFUL!!!
@theGenevaCuntvention NEVER FORGETTING THIS MOMENT AND OMG I FORGOT TO TAKE A FUCKING PICTURE 😩😫😫
I watch the interaction with pride.
This is how I know Y/N will be excellent on the stage.
I take a few steps forward to meet Y/N halfway as security directs her back to me. Y/N has no regrets. I smile and go to pass Y/N to make my way to Geneva.
A 14-year-old girl at the time I met her. A teen who helped me figure out... well, me.
"Sorry, Ms. Olsen, we can't have you do that." A security guard stops me before I can get close enough. "Can I at least say something?" I argue, but they stand in front of me. "I'm sorry. It's a precaution." Another guard states.
I nod, knowing they're right and that they work hard to protect us. "Okay. Sorry." I mumble as Y/N takes a hold of my hand.
"Sorry, you probably could've if I didn't do what I did." I just shake my head. "They wouldn't let me." Y/N makes an un-agreeable hum as we get directed inside the premiere, with our awaiting peers.
I take one last look behind me and see Geneva turn around to speak to an older man I recognize as her father.
@theGenevaCuntvention Nooooo it looked like Lizzie wanted to come over but was escorted away
@witcheswhores anyone else watching the livestream and see Hex run past the camera???
@multiversemother
@witcheswhores yeah what was that?
@lizziesfutureex
@witcheswhores yep
@scrunchnoselizzie
@witcheswhores I saw it too!
@WandasVersion
@witcheswhores according to @DarkChokeHold, Maria, a fan at the premiere live tweeting it. Lizzie saw a fan she recognized from something last year and Hex ran over to say hi
@DarkChokeHold
@WandasVersion @witcheswhores correct! The fan started crying. She must've made an impact to Lizzie in someway for her to be recognized months later!
Y/N POV
As Liz and the rest of the cast had to get prepared for the introduction of Multiverse of Madness. I snuck out and asked an assistant for a favor.
Turns out the idea of having a fan joining a premiere, especially on behalf of Elizabeth Olsen, is something Marvel couldn't say no to.
So, fifteen minutes later, I watched security pull Geneva and her father out from the crowd. Cameras and phones immediately noticed, and being recently trained in celebrity eduque by one Lizard Olsen, I smiled and waved before focusing my attention on the redheaded teen in a Wanda Maximoff 1989 Polaroid-style shirt.
Damn, could we adopt this kid?
Kidding! I'm kidding! This was a joke!
@DarkChokeHold update on the fan! Security came to the barrier and escorted them and their father into the premiere where Hex was waiting!!!
Anyways... "Hi!" I greet Geneva once again, who looks more nervous than before. "Hi!" She smiles at me. I look from the Geneva to the gentleman with her. "Hello, I'm William Fehay. Geneva's father." He sticks his hand out with a smile that I instantly recognize as the same smile on the teen's face.
"Hello, sir." I shake his hand. "I'm Y/N Y/L/N." He smirks and glances at his daughter. "Y/N, huh?"
"Dad-" You can tell whatever Mr. Fehay is about to embarrass his daughter. "According to this one." He points to Geneva. "We're supposed to call you Hex. That's all I hear about. Hex this. Hex that. About your album." You can tell he's just teasing his daughter and that there is so much truth behind his words as he speaks with a smile, and Geneva glares at him.
"Well, sir, no need to worry. Calling me Y/N is fine." I then turn to Geneva. "Sounds like I converted another Olsen fan, huh?" Geneva wears red on her cheeks as she nods. "Don't worry, you can still tell her how much you love her."
"I'm gonna m-meet her?" Geneva speaks up. I nod. "Well, it won't be the first time." I smile brightly at the teen, doing my best to let her know that she has nothing to worry about.
"Come on. You can quickly chat before the movie."
"Wait... we're actually gonna see the movie!?" Geneva states as her and her father follow me as I follow the security team to the correct area. "Yep. I thought it might be a cool way to thank you for giving Liz a push she didn't know she needed last year."
Geneva takes that in.
"So, she actually remembered me?" Her voice cracks a little.
"She did."
Liz POV
I walk off stage as the applause from the cast, crew, and members of the audience dies down.
This is going to be the second time in one week I'm actually staying for the premiere of my own movie. I did in LA for Y/N, and tonight it'll be for Geneva. No matter how much I hate watching myself on screen. Or that I think every Marvel movie will be a flop.
Anyways... just as I'm about to get to my seat, a security guard stops me. I look at him with concern for Y/N before he points to the back of the room, where I see her standing with Geneva and her father.
I thank the security guard and make my way over to the three with a smile.
I quickly wrap Y/N up in a hug and whisper: "thank you for doing this." Into her ear. She gives me a quick peck on the cheek as we exit the hug.
My eyes scan over the teen and her face of excitement before I look at her father. "Elizabeth Olsen." I extended my hand and watch as he looks at me with a smile. "William Fehay." He shakes my hand. "Being a single father of a teenage daughter, I know that I'm meeting royalty right now."
My smile breaks into a laugh because what a silly thing to say!
"I always tell her that she's the people's princess." I playfully roll my at my girlfriend, making William and Geneva laugh. "Well, you're wrong, but I appreciate it."
My focus then turns to Geneva. I can see the nervousness in her hands as she plays with a ring on her index finger.
"So, does this beat meeting me at an airport?" I say, hoping this relieves any stress she might be holding. And it looks like it does when her eyes meet mine. "It's way better. Thank you." I shake my head. "You don't have to thank me. I should be thanking you. I appreciate you showing up and supporting this movie." Geneva shyly smiles and nods.
"So I wish we could all sit together, but we have assigned seats near the front. Yours are here." I see William's eyes get bigger. "However, we can always meet you two after the movie," I say.
"You mean we get to stay?" William asks, making me smile back. It seems like he didn't quite believe Y/N. "Of course. You have a wonderful daughter, and I wanted to show my appreciation and gratitude." Geneva looks up to her father, who looks back down with a watery smile. "Thank you."
"It's no problem," I reply and move my focus away so it's easier for him to wipe a tear from the corner of his eye. I wonder if anyone's ever been this kind to them?
Y/N wraps her arm around me as the lights above flash, signaling that we must get to our seats. Within an instant, an assistant walks to Geneva and William. "Okay, I have you two.." She speaks to them. "Over here. If you'll follow me." William nods, but Geneva looks back to me. "Thank you again."
"Of course. We'll see you afterwards."
"Yeah, I need someone to talk to about this movie because if I tweet anything, I'll get snipped." I nudge Y/N in her side and playfully scold her. "Hahaha, alright, can't wait!" Geneva says with a bright smile.
"I can see why you remembered her," Y/N says once we find our seats. "Right. She's a sweet kid."
"Smart, too. She's a Wanda Stan." I side-eyed my girlfriend and smirked. "Nice to know someone in this room is."
Y/N nods before looking confused.
"What do you mean?"
I play innocent. "Nothing... just don't go on Twitter."
Yes, I saw the tweets.
"What do you mean?" Y/N says, reaching for her phone. "Oh shh, the movie is starting," I say to Y/N before turning back to face the screen.
As the lights dim, I see Y/N look at her phone blowing up with notifications.
"Oh shit." She whispers, producing a grin on my lips.

That title belongs to none other than in real life friend Scarlett Johansson's Natasha Romanoff.

Aside from Y/N Y/L/N, Hex, having a Natasha Romanoff collage as their wallpaper it appears that she and Elizabeth Olsen made friends with a father and daughter duo that was there to see the stars.
We're not quite sure who they are, but according to multiple sources and a fan who was present, it looks like Elizabeth Olsen met the duo sometime last year.

Liz POV
After the Marvel social media team grabbed a few pictures of Y/N and myself with Geneva and her father, we were free to do whatever we wanted since Y/N and I were going to skip the after-party.
"Elizabeth!" I heard Geneva, with a cracked, hurt voice, call out to me as we got closer to her seat. "Is Wanda really gone??" She asks with a panicked look.
I open and close my mouth multiple times.
Even looking at Y/N for help. "I hope not," Y/N speaks up. "And I don't truly believe so. I mean, we saw that red burst of power at the end! Like that was her teleporting away or using however much of America's power that she took, right!?" Geneva enthusiastically nods. "That's what I thought!!" Geneva says as she sniffles and leans back into her seat.
I clear my throat. "So... aside from the ending, did you like the movie?"
Geneva and her father stand up. "I did! I enjoyed it a lot. Had a few nitpicks, but you weren't the problem at all!" I tilt my head as the four of us head out of the theater and into the hallway. "What nitpicks?" Y/N asks the question I was thinking.
Geneva looks from Y/N to me.
"Is the writer here?"
I know for a fact he isn't. I shake my head no. "Good." She quickly states, ending the conversation as William scolds her. But Y/N is quick to come to Geneva's defenses.
I then watch Y/N and Geneva gang up on William before continuing to talk about the MCU as a whole. Most of it going over my head.
"Is there any way I can repay you?" I turn my head to my left. "What do you mean?" I ask William as we continue walking to the lobby. "You and Y/N have been so kind and wonderful. There must be something I can do. You gave us a once-in-a-lifetime experience."
I hum in thought.
"Y/N?" She turns to me as Geneva, and her stop their conversation. "We don't have anything going on in the morning, do we?" Y/N thinks before shaking her head. "No. I just have a call with Bo to go over the title of the album before the livestream at midnight tomorrow." I nod as Geneva questions Y/N about the album title and tracks.
It turns out, like most of my fans, she's become a big fan of Hexs' music.
"How about brunch? You and Geneva pick a spot, and we'll join."
Williams' eyes widen, and I'm beginning to think maybe he didn't think I'd take him up on his offer. But I can see the panic disappear on his face. "That sounds wonderful!" I agree with him as we all stop at the exit doors with paparazzi and fans on the other side.
Y/N and Geneva are still in a severe conversation about Wanda's death.
"I know I asked you before, but why care about a teenage girl and her father?" William questions me. Rightfully so, I should add. It doesn't make much sense on paper. Sounds more like fan fiction.
But I do my best to give an honest answer. "Because you're kind. Like I said before, it's clear you've raised such a polite and humble person in Geneva. I think it's sweet and refreshing to see. Plus.. she helped me discover myself when I needed it most. And trust me, I know that sounds like a ridiculous thing to say, especially when she was only 14 at the time, but it's true."
William gets real quiet as she digests everything I just told him. "William?" I question when I see him blink a few tears away. "It's alright. Umm.."
He lets out a shaky breath.
"Geneva and I have just been through a lot, so to hear those words come from someone as honest as you. It means a whole hell of a lot."
"Of course," I respond.
When I look to my left, I see Y/N looking at me as if to say everything alright? I give her a subtle nod. She gives one back just as Geneva pulls her phone out.
I see her open Instagram. "Whatcha doing?" I call out, forcing her to turn to me with a guilty look. "Nothing." She says with red creeping onto her face.
I look to my girlfriend, who looks at Geneva.
"Okay, next time, try not to look so guilty," Y/N says, making Geneva sigh.
"Okay, fine. I was going to make an Instagram post about the movie. No spoilers!!! Of course!!" She says, not looking guilty this time, making me laugh.
"Oh, okay," I answer for Y/N and I. "Oh my gosh, wait! Could I take a picture of the four of us on my phone?"
The three of us adults all eventually agreed, but Y/N and I had to deeply stress to Geneva that she should not post that pic. It was for her and only her.
We also reminded her that she couldn't talk about the movie until tomorrow.
She understood and took the picture just as an assistant came and told us that our car was ready.
"So I guess this is it... thank you once again, Elizabeth, and to you, Y/N! You're both super sweet and nice, and I had so much fun-"
I cut the teen off before she spiraled and rambled herself to death. "Geneva, we're getting brunch together tomorrow morning."
"We are!?" She looks at her father, who shrugs with a smile. "Oh, okay! That's great!"
"Yeah, I have to hear all about your trip to Oregon!"
"You remembered?" I laugh. "Yes, of course-" I go to speak some more but off to see my publicist Marla talk to an assistant before she turns to look at me. Y/N notices and quickly covers for me.
"William, could I see your phone?" Y/N asks as I turn back to the group. He takes it out and hands Y/N his iPhone. I watch and laugh as she quickly makes a new contact: Y/N's # please do not share. "Here you go."
Even William chuckles. "Noted," He says.
"So we'll see you tomorrow?" Geneva and her father nod and say their goodbyes, but not before Geneva asks for a hug. One I'm happy to give. "For me personally, I hope Wanda isn't dead. But for you, I hope you're happy with her journey." Geneva whispers in my ear. I nod. "Trust me, after recording What If...? I'm happy with where I'll be as an actress, just the same."
"You're going to be in What If..?" Geneva questions with excitement, before rapidly realizing that this information hasn't been publicly posted.
"Okay bye!" I begin to wave, making Y/N quickly do the same. Once Geneva and her father leave through the lobby doors, Y/N turns to me. "Brunch, huh?"
"Her father wanted to do something, and I would've felt awful saying no." Y/N hums. "Did you have fun tonight?"
"I had a great time. What about you? Have enough here or crashing Twitter?" That makes Y/N roll her eyes and shake her head. "I can't believe that happened."
"Well, it's nice to see you learned your lesson."
Y/N kisses me as a way to shut me up, and our lips only separate when we hear the clacking of heels walking toward us.
It's Marla with her phone in her hand.
"I need you to take a look at this."
"What is it?" Y/N questions as I take the black brick from Marla's hands.
Marla opens her mouth, but the words come out of mine. "It's from Robbie," I say once I read the email and the CCs. "..What??" Y/N asks as the tension surges throughout her body.
I remain silent as I read the words on the screen until I reach the end.
"I'm sorry,
Robbie Arnett."
"He's giving me Hattie..." My emotions of relief, happiness, and, anger, struggle for the top spot as I can't believe this is finally happening. I have Hattie back! But at the same time, I'm beyond upset. I could never forgive Robbie for so blatantly ripping Hattie Harmony away from me.
Y/N watches me cautiously as tears start spilling from my eyes before wrapping me up in a hug. Moving the two of us with Marla following away from the doors to the outside world.
"Deep breaths, babe." She takes hold of my hands as she places me in a leather chair down a hallway. Y/N kneels in front of me on the carpeted floor. "I'm here." She reminds me, making me smile.
She'll always be here.
_
Moments after, when I have no tears left, and Y/N has read the email, Marla gives us some alone time.
"Can I ask you something?" Y/N awaits my nod before continuing. "Hattie was a big thing for you and Robbie. You both worked so hard on it. But it was your brainchild...." She stops to gather her words. "Clearly, he's giving it to you because he needs to focus on himself. But do you even want it now? Like, of course, you want Hattie. Like legally and all that, but... do you want to do anything with Hattie now?"
I exhale and think.
"Honestly. I don't know... I think at one point this.. this was the next step for me and my career, but now I'm not so sure..." My hands tighten around Y/N's. "As much as it pains me to say I can't go back to Hattie. It's tainted." I can feel the frown form on my face.
"Okay... that's okay, Liz." I nod, knowing it is but hating that that's how I feel about it. I wish I could want to write Hattie again. Go back as a fuck you, Robbie, in a way, but it wouldn't be right. It wouldn't be what I originally wanted.
So it's best to leave it.
"But at least once legal gets it all sorted out, It'll be mine." My lips slightly curl upwards. "It will be." Y/N keeps her hands in mine as she sits up on her knees and leans forward to kiss my lips but misses and kisses my chin, making us laugh. "There's that smile."
I roll my eyes and remove my hands from hers. "Shush." I grab her face and plant a kiss on her pink lips.
_
"Obviously, you have time, but is there something else that you'd want to work on if not Hattie?" Y/N asks me as we sit in the back of the SUV on the way to the hotel.
I shake my head. "Not at the moment." Y/N kisses the side of my head as my phone begins to vibrate in my handbag. "I can take it."
I'm emotionally exhausted, so that would be nice.
Y/N unzips my handbag and pulls out of my phone. "Babe.."
I look over from outside the window and roll my eyes. "Here." I have Y/N place the phone in my hand.
I clear my throat and hit the green button with a smile. "Oh, Hey, Scarlett!"
Y/N cowardly looks away from me with a smile.
Oh, she's going to get it later.
"Yeah, no, I saw what Y/N's wallpaper..... Yeah, of course, we're still on for dinner!"

Scarlett POV
"What are you laughing about?"
I look up from my phone to see Colin holding our baby boy, Cosmo.
"Lizzie and Y/N at the premiere." I look down at my phone and miss the confused look Colin has on his face. "You're laughing at our friends?"
He walks into my home office and looks over my shoulder as Cosmo babbles. "Look." I hold my phone up to him to show him a series of tweets about Y/N's phone wallpaper.
"No way!" Colin says in disbelief.
I nod and snicker as I look at a few more tweets before turning my phone over.
"So what's up?" I turn in my chair and look at my husband and son. The latter giggles as I poke his tummy.
"Not much," Colin says. "Coz and I were just missing Mom." He looks down at our son in his arms. "Isn't that right, buddy?"
Cosmo just smiles.
"Well, Mom is right here!" I blow a kiss to Colin and Cosmo. "But Mom is busy. She has to get ready for a meeting!"
"With Kate?" Colin asks, earning a nod. "With our Sephora launch and starter kit, it's just a lot of expanding."
Colin begins to walk to the office door. Humming to Cosmo. "I shouldn't be too much longer!" I say only to revive a laugh. "Scar, it's fine. Take as long as you want. I was coming to hang out and to remind you that Jess Parker is coming over tonight."
I freeze in my tracks and look away from my open laptop.
"No, Liz and Y/N are coming over tonight..."
Colin tilts his head. But he has a look that I hate to see.
He might be right.
"Are you sure?" Colin asks. I nod. "Here, I'll call Lizzie." I grab my phone and find Lizzie's contact. I place her on speaker and wait as the sound of ringing fills the room.
I look up, and Colin looks from his phone. He's texting someone.
Jess. He mouths.
"Oh, Hey, Scarlett!" I hear Lizzie's voice, and just by the tone, I can tell she's smiling.
"Hey, Lizzie! How are you and the rockstar!? Did you see the news??" I smirk and swivel in my chair.
"Yeah, no, I saw Y/N's wallpaper."
I laugh. Y/N's totally gonna get it later from me and Lizzie.
Wait, that sounded dirty.. but I mean... have you seen those two?
"Hey, so sorry to call right after your premiere, but I was just wondering if you and Y/N were still on for dinner?"
"Yeah, of course, we're still on for dinner! Why did something come up?"
I look up to Colin. "Umm.." He flips the phone to face me, and I see a text exchange between him and my friend Jess. With the words: "Yep, I'll be there!"
"Shit," I say. "Shit?" Lizzie repeats back. "No! No.. Sorry! I- I double booked."
"Huh?" Lizzie says, making me quietly laugh. "I double booked dinner tonight with you and Y/N and my friend Jess Parker."
The other side of the line goes quiet.
"Jess Parker? The Jewelry maker? She's your friend?" Y/N speaks up for the first time all call.
"Yes?" I answer, unsure of where this is going, but I quickly find out when Lizzie brings the phone closer to her mouth.
"Scarlett Ingrid Johansson, do you mean to tell me you are friends with Jess Parker, and this has never come up? Not once? You've never once thought to introduce her to her very fashionable friend! Someone who walks the red carpet with you!"
"And me!" Y/N pipes up again.
I gulp. It's clear I've made a mistake.
I look up to Colin only to find him gone. The door to my office closed.
"I- uhhh..."
Before I can even say or think of any words to say, it's like in a blink of an eye, somehow I've time traveled, and I'm in a long sundress while I carry Cosmo to answer the front door for our first guest of the evening.
My long-time friend Jess Parker.
In a way, she's been like a sister to me. Sorry, Vanessa. But we've always been close. Not many people know that the reason I took the role in The Nanny Diaries was because of her.
And while living across the pound for some odd years, she has always been a sound support system. But now that she's back in New York after a long 18 months, it'll be nice to catch up. Oh, and to warn her that she's famous no matter how little she believes me.
I mean, Lizzie and Y/N want a piece of her work, apparently.
Oh shit, that means I have to warn Jess about them coming over too.
But before I can say anything, I'm pulled into a side hug by Jess just before she scoops up Cosmo from me. For a baby who normally screams his head off when someone new takes him, he remains quiet.
"You look so good!" Jess says as she takes her shoes off and looks back at me. Her English accent still on her tongue.
"You too!" I easily reply as I look her up and down. "Love the top!" Jess gives a little shake of her head that says, "eh."
She never was the best about compliments. Her and Lizzie are the same that way.
"So Scar, do you wanna tell me why you were trending earlier?"
Liz POV
Y/N and I are about to arrive in front of Scarlett's when Y/N looks up from her phone with a smile. "What's up?" I ask.
"I just can't believe it's almost here."
I can see on Y/N's phone that she just read an email from her label, which probably led to Y/N thinking about her livestream tomorrow night.
"Is the studio set up?" I question her about the set up the label put together for Y/N. Basically, the idea for the cover of the album started when Y/N had a dream about her and I on a beach flipping tarot cards.
Hence the original name of the album:
tarot cards on the beach.
She described it as the most nerve-racking dream she has ever had, and I'm still unsure why.
But when she woke me up to tell me about it. I remember being cranky in the moment but ultimately happy for her.
Duh.
She then immediately got into contact with her old friend Cyrus and had the label commission a giant canvas of what the album would look like. It's going to be revealed live for the first time at midnight tomorrow, followed by Y/N sharing the tracklist.
I can only imagine her smiley, cute face when she sees the finished product.
Y/N nods. "Yeah, that's what the email was about. They have everything ready to go."
"Even the cards and CD's?" I raise an eyebrow. "Even the cards and CD's." She states.
Following the tracklist reveal, the studio wants Y/N, aka hex, to autograph specially made tarot cards that will go into the CDs for the first 500 people that preorder.
I promised to massage her hands for as long as she wanted after it was done.
"What?" Y/N asks, making me realize that I've been staring at her face. Her perfect face. "Do I have something on my face? Because I know you told me not to snack at the hotel, but I still did it."
I laugh and pretend to wipe crumbs off her lips before leaning in and kissing her.
"You're perfect."
"You're still cheesy." She says. "Learned it from you," I reply and look down at her outfit.
Since it's dinner with Scar, we didn't decide to go clits to wall decked out like we would if it was the twins. We know Scar and Colin are busy with baby Coz, so the fewer clothes that could get messy, the better.
Wait- basically, what I'm saying is that we're just going as cute casual! I'm in brown boots, jeans, and a long black sleeve, while Y/N is wearing wide-ankle khakis, her vans, and a long maroon button-up.
I wasn't sure about the outfit, but she picked it out, and knowing Y/N, she'll be trying to color with Rose anyways, so who cares.
"I like what you're wearing." I look back up to Y/N's eyes and slowly lean in. She does the same until our lips touch again.
"I think the label will push for an August release," Y/N says as she leans her head on my shoulder. "It's still summer, but I was expecting July."
"August is still good, right?" I ask, unsure of what Y/N really wants. "It is." She says. "I think I'm just ready to start some shows because every time I think about performing, I wanna throw up."
That's right.
She's going to be on the road sooner rather than later.
"Well, I'll be there with you," I say and hold her close. But Y/N chuckles, confusing me. "What?" She leans up and fiddles with the ring on her right hand. "I know you'll be there, and I love that, but I know you, and I don't want you to put off filming for me."
I look at her as if she doesn't see through me.
"What do you mean?" I look away from her eyes and clear my throat. "Liz..." She sighs. "I know about Azazel reaching out to you." I found her eyes, and they light up. "We both know I will probably be on the road if people want me to be. So please take any offer that comes your way. I'm mar- I'm in love with Elizabeth Olsen, the greatest Emmy-winning actress of our generation. Not Elizabeth Olsen, the-"
"Y/N." I stop her. "I get it." She leans in and kisses my nose, making me giggle. "Thank you." She says.
The car rolls to a stop in front of Scarlett's, and before Y/N moves away from me, I thank her for always being supportive and caring.
She said, "No, you." before jumping out of the car while laughing.
Y/N POV
"Oh shoot. Should we have brought wine or chocolates or anything?" I turn to Liz just after ringing the doorbell. She looks back at me with a look that says yes.
Shit.
"We should go." I turn my heels to walk away, but Liz grabs my arm and spins me around. "I think it's too late for that." We both know that, but it's not confirmed until the door swings open, and instead of a short blonde greeting us, it's an even shorter blonde.
"Auntie Lizzie!" Rose runs and jumps out of the doorway to Liz's legs with arms outstretched but stops when she sees me. "Auntie Y/N!" She squeals, making me smile.
Her and I are entirely different with one another since our first meeting.
But just like that, Lizzies runs as favorite aunt ends. I see the defeat on her face as the scorned look in her eyes washes over mini Scarlett and I, but- wait, what did Rosie say?
"Huh, Rose?" I ask as I bend down the child by my side. "I said you have to meet my favorite Auntie ever, JP!"
I look at Liz, who looks back to me.
Who the hell is JP??
"Rose!" All three of our attentions turn to Mama Bear Scar as she steps out of the house to take Rosebud from me and place her on the ground. "How many times have I told you not to open the door?"
Rose hangs her head. Clearly, knowing that she shouldn't open the door without an adult present. "But I know it was Auntie Lizzie and Y/N." Rose cries.
Scarlett gets onto her knees in front of her daughter. "Rosie, look at me." Rose turns her head to look at her mother. Liz and I watching this interaction like statues. "I know that you know it was them. And that, yes, they are safe people, but still, it is better to be safe than sorry. I'd hate for anything to happen to you." Rose nods. "I love you." Scarlett pulls her daughter close and smiles when a smaller, quieter "I love you too." happens.
Rose pulls out of the hug and looks at her mom. "Can I hang out with Auntie Liz and Y/N?" She asks, earning a nod from Scarlett. "Yes, you can."
And just like that, I have Rose by my side as she points at every little thing in the hallway as if I've never been here before.
"Is that a chatterbox I hear?" Another woman's voice surprises Liz and me as we enter the kitchen. As soon as our eyes see the person, we immediately remember. "Auntie JP! Look, I brought friends!" Rose smiles proudly and makes a grand gesture with her arms.
"I see that!" Auntie JP, aka Jess Parker, says as she comes up and makes a goofy face at Rosie before turning to Liz and I. "Hi!" She says as she extends her hands to Liz first. "It's nice to meet you finally." Jess smiles widely at Liz as Liz returns the greeting.
Rose watches the interaction with glee as Jess turns to me. "You must be Y/N." She extends her hand to me as well before leaning closer to whisper: "Scarlett, let it slip that you have a huge crush on her."
Immediately, I groan and turn around to the older woman, but she puts her hands up. "Hey, look at Twitter and tell me what's true!" I roll my eyes away to see Colin laughing as he fixes Liz a drink. "Yeah, yeah, keep laughing, Jost."
I narrow my eyes before Rose grabs onto Jess and I. "I want to show you my new coloring book! It's in my room!" Liz turns her head at this. "Can I come, Rose?" Rose thinks before walking away. "No, thank you."
As comedic as Rosie is, I see Liz's face falls. So, instead of having Rose pull Jess and me away, I crouch down to her. "Hey, Rosie, how about you go grab all your art supplies and books, and we can color them at the table before we have to get ready for dinner. How does that sound?"
Rose thinks and agrees before pouting a little. "Can you see my room later, too? I got some of new toys of momma."
Jess crouches next to me and nods to encourage Rose. "That sounds great." Rose nods and runs to grab her things.
"Drink?" Colin asks as I turn around. "Yes, please," I say as I stand by my girlfriend sitting at the kitchen island. "Damn, I can't believe I'm old news now." Liz jokes as Scarlett brings in baby Cosmo. "I doubt that," I say as I kiss the top of her head. Liz shrugs. "You and Jess seem to have it pretty covered."
From the tone, I can tell there's more under the surface.
But before anything can spill from my mouth, Scarlett hands me a babbling baby boy. "Carefully, he's rigged to blow any minute." I grimace but hold Cosmo steady. "Gee, thanks." Scarlett winks at me. "Want me to talk to her?" Scarlett asks Liz in regards to Rosie. Liz lightly laughs and shakes her head. "She's a kid. She's fine."
Scarlett gives a flat smile as Colin places a drink before me and Jess across the island.
"Be honest..." Scarlett starts. "How many pictures of Natasha do you have on your phone?"
I sigh. "I don't know. Enough to have a folder..." I shrug. This only makes Scarlett smile wider. "Can I see?" She wiggles her eyebrows. "I'd die before I let that happen."
Scarlett looks me up and down. "Put me in a red wig, and I think you would."
I look around the room and see no help on the defense. My girlfriend sips her drink, knowing that she'd rather sit with jealously than engage in between Scarlett and I.
"So Lizzie..." Jess speaks up. "You had a movie premiere today, and now you're here? Slumming it with us? What's up with that?" Scarlett watches her friend tease effortlessly with a smile, and as my girlfriend answers, I watch Scarlett's eyes shift from one friend to the other.
I had no idea Scarlett even knew of Jess Parker, but looking at them side by side, I can see a similarity between them.
I tune into the conversation just as Liz speaks my mind. "Well, what about you, Miss Jess Parker! Word has it closed up shop, but after eighteen months, you're here slumming it with us! I had no idea Scarlett, and you were so close! I mean, I know you designed the Infinity Gauntlet piece Scar wore at the Endgame premiere, but..." I chime in. "We could've used your jewelry on the red carpet earlier this week."
"And tonight!" Scarlett makes a point.
Jess smiles and takes a sip of her Moscow mule. "Basically, I missed home."
"New York?" I question. Jess nods. "I was overseas with my Dad and stepmom, taking time off to find myself." Scarlett pipes up as she wraps an arm around Jess. "A horrible ex who never have to speak about ever again." Jess nods and gags. "The worst. But yes, now I'm back home. Close to Scar again-"
"I'm sorry." I interrupt. "How long have you and Scarlett known each other?"
Scarlett takes the question.
"We grew up together." This information shocks Liz and I, but my mouth works faster than I can stop the words. "Cool. And you never meant to mention this??"
"Babe-" Liz tries to stop me while laughing. "Liz, we could've been wearing Jess Parker this entire time! Do you know how hot you would've looked with a Scarlet Witch Crown!"
I shake my head to make my thoughts pure again.
Everyone laughs, including Cosmo, as he spits up disgusting me just as Rose enters the room, pretending to laugh like she knew what was going on. "Got 'em!" She says as she holds up her supplies and books.
"That's great, Rose! We'll meet you at the table." Rose happily turns to the table at Jess' words as Scarlett takes her baby from me.
"Well, rumor has it the shop might be open again." Jess makes a face to Liz and I as she sips on her drink with a grin before joining Rose.
"Oh, she's fun!" Liz says as she turns back to Scar and Colin. "Fun, huh?" I'm quickly met with a green-eyed glare. "Noted," I say as I take my drink to color with Rose and Jess.
"Wow, Rose!" I say as she is coloring a picture of The Black Widow. Jess coloring in Hawkeye. "I didn't know you had an Avengers book!" Rose looks up at me with an are you serious look. "Yeah." She says before handing me a page. "You can do this one."
It's a picture of The Scarlet Witch.
"I tried asking for it, but she wanted you to color it so you could give it to Aunt Lizzie," Jess says with a smile while also doing a pretty good impression of Rose that the child ignores. I look up at her and laugh.
"Thank you, Rose." I turn to the small blonde. "No problem." She replies.
"Hey, Rosie?" I say as I pick up a red colored pencil. "Yeah?" She looks at me. "I can do this picture, but I think Aunt Lizzie would really appreciate it if you made something for her that was an original piece."
Rose looks away as she thinks before grabbing a blank piece of paper. Paper that looks like she easily took it from a copier somewhere in this house. "Like flowers? She's pretty like flowers."
"Yeah. That's a good idea, Rose."
Pretty like flowers.
I immediately store that line in my head for another day.
As Rose gets to work on a 2-D paper bouquet for my girlfriend, I look up and see Liz fully engaged in a conversation about whatever Colin is talking about.
My eyes travel down her face to her hands.
"Hey, Jess?" I whisper before looking her way. "Yeah?" She whispers back with a smile. "Could I have your number?" Jess widens her eyes a bit before looking in the direction of the other adults. "That's kinda bold of you, don't ya think?"
I give her a confused look before hearing my own words. "Oh my god, no." I continue whispering. "I heard a rumor that maybe your shop was open."
Jess makes an ah sound. "Yeah, and?" I take one last look up at Liz before turning to Jess.
"I'm thinking about a ring."
Jess' lips immediately curl up into a wide smile as she can't help it. "Omg yes!" She jots down her number on a piece of paper, and tears off the strip before tossing it to me. I quickly shove it into my pocket before anyone else can notice.
No one does, but the only person in between us. Rose.
I think nothing of it before remembering that kids talk about anything and everything, and my name and a ring would spill at some point.
"You're getting a ring?" She asks at kid volume, but luckily, no one else heard. "Yes," I whisper. "I want to get Aunt Lizzie a ring, but no one else can know about it." I plead with my eyes at the sweet little Rose.
She nods her head. "Okay." She says innocently enough as her red colored pencils makes contact with the page.
"Legos," She says moments later. "Legos?" I question, indirectly forcing Rose to grace me with her presence. "Legos for the secret."
Jess watches the shake-down happen.
I slowly nod. "Legos," I repeat, unaware that Liz and Scarlett were joining us at the table. "Legos! We're talking about Legos?!" Scarlett asks as she kisses her daughter's head before looking over Jess' drawing. "Yeah! Auntie Y/N said she's going to get me legos once the school year is over!"
Suddenly, all eyes are on me.
"If it's okay with you, Scar," I say as Jess holds back a laugh. Who knew kids were this scary!! Scarlett shrugs. "Sure. We love legos!"
"Legos! We're talking about Legos?!" Colin asks as he enters the room with a freshly changed Cosmo. "Old news, Jost, keep up!" Jess says, making me laugh as Liz sits down next to me.
"Ooh, now, who is this!" She grabs and holds up my colored page of her Marvel character. "I don't know, but she looks pretty hot!" I jump my eyebrows up as I get a playful eye roll back.
"Please, we all know who you really want." Scarlett bites back as she smirks at me.
God, damn Johansson and that smirk.
_
Dinner came and went with much harassment from Scarlett and her endless run of jokes. While funny, my cheeks might've been painted red by the end. Although I know for a fact she wasn't joking when she said she had a Black Widow suit upstairs.
I'm pretty certain my hand was going to break from how hard Liz was holding me.
Anyways, conversations flowed well, and Colin talked to Liz and me about SNL with Benedict this weekend and how fun that'd be. I then realized that I'd be in the same room with Benedict and how I would restrain myself from trying to get him to say penguin.
I also told Liz she should try hosting SNL, which was tabled for another time.
Jess also talked about how she'd love to make jewelry for Liz and me and our upcoming events—so stay tuned for that.
_
"Babe, there's no way you're still jealous after last night!"
Liz scoffs as she pulls on the handle to the restaurant, letting me through first. "Jealous?" She scoffs again. "Who said I was jealous?"
"Me!" I point to myself with my thumb. "All because sweet little Rosebud wanted to sit next to me. Hang out with me. Only talk to me! All last night! You got stuck with a gassy Cosmo." I say with glee as we see William and Geneva stand up from their table in the corner of the restaurant to greet us. "Yeah, because Legos were promised. Oh, and let's not forget about Scarlett's friend!" Liz says as her jaw tightens. "And yes, Jess Parker was very nice. I'm glad Scarlett introduced the two of you. Being chatty and all." Liz says as she waves her hand around, and I know I'm immorally pushing the buttons here. Especially when I say. "Pretty, too."
Liz turns to me, and even through her sunglasses, I can see her glaring at me. "Stop, okay. Fine. Let's say I was jealous, but I have no reason to be right now because I'm Geneva's favorite."
I nod my head and agree. "Yeah... for now." I smugly say as I pass her to greet William first while she hugs Geneva before we switch. "Y/N, sit here!" Geneva pulls out the chair to the right of her. "Okay!" I say with a smile as I turn back to Liz to see her flummoxed.
She wasn't expecting that, but being the polite angel she is, she graciously pulls out the chair and sits across from Geneva.
"Hey, you two are matching!" William points out to Liz and Geneva, who are both wearing their LA Dodgers hats. "Yeah!" Liz says as she removes her sunglasses to glance at me. "I knew I had to match with Geneva today! You know..." She glances. "Had to make someone jealous."
Geneva laughs as she sees me roll my eyes.
William notices, too, but chooses not to comment on it.
"Oh. I hope it's alright, but I ordered a round of coffee for the table. I don't know what you two might've gotten up to last night."
Liz and I thank William and let him know that he's definitely speaking to the two most homebodied people who just so happen to have a certain celebrity status. This makes Geneva laugh again before asking Liz about her garden.
Liz happily answers any question Geneva has, and the conversation flows from one topic to another.
The waitstaff come by periodically, and it's always funny to see the different looks from the surrounding customers as they recognize us.
I know I saw a few phones take some pictures; it's annoying, but that's the life I want to have. It comes with a price. But anytime I did catch someone snagging a pic, I made sure to glare their way.
Not for me or Liz. But for Geneva. She's 15. She doesn't need to be posted all over the internet, first off. And secondly. I'm sure her being pictured with Elizabeth Olsen and myself would bring a particular stress she doesn't need.
"So, Geneva, how was the camping trip?" Liz finally asks the one question I know she has been keeping in her back pocket. And just like Liz said, Geneva's face lights up. "Oh my God, I have to show you pictures. It was so cool!"
As Geneva picks up her phone and begins scrolling, mine begins vibrating in my pocket. I think about checking, but I ignore it and choose to remain present in the conversation as Geneva's phone gets handed to me.
I lean over closer to Liz and begin swiping to the left on her photo album titled 🌲 Oregon Trip 🌲
"Oh my gosh, look at that one!" I say as we swipe by a selfie of Geneva at the top of a waterfall. "That's a stunning picture! Where is that?" Liz says as she looks up to Geneva, but her finger points to an object in the picture.
It's an LA Dodgers hat.
I nudge Liz with my leg under the table before handing Liz the phone to reach mine as it starts vibrating again.
"Sorry," I say to the group as I check the Caller ID: Bo.
"Shit," I say before looking at Geneva. "Sorry." She shrugs. "That's fine. I curse, too. Fuck. See?" She says deadpan before breaking out into a smile, making me and Liz laugh while her dad scolds her. "Honey, don't do that." She shrugs again.
"Who is it?" Liz asks as my screen goes black. "It's Bo." I think he's calling me back to give me the final word on what the album will be titled." I sigh. "I don't think the studio likes the I keep pushing back." Liz brings her hand gently onto my arm before rubbing it up and down. The action, while comforting, reminds me that we're not alone.
"Sorry. Geneva, you were saying?" I question, but William stops me. "Hey, if you have an important phone call, we're more than happy to wait or let you take it." I shake my head. "I don't want to be r-" Before I can finish my sentence, my phone starts vibrating on the table.
"Take it," Liz says to me with a pointed look. William nods in agreement. "Go! Don't worry, I'll have more photos to share!" Geneva smiles at me before focusing on her chocolate chip pancakes. "This place is always so good." She looks to her dad.
"Go." Liz practically shoves me out of my seat with love and care. I nod to the table and let them know that I'll "be right back." As I answer the phone.
"Hey, Bo!"
"You know I called you two other times."
"Uh oh, someone's cranky," I say as I wave to the hostess who waved at me. Good thing Liz didn't see that.
I hear Bo grumble on the other side of the call as I exit the restaurant and begin walking around the parking lot.
"I'm not cranky." He says. "Well then, let me guess, someone got Decaf this morning?" I know I hit the nail on the head when he doesn't immediately quip back. "Come on, who's your favorite!" I tease with a smile.
"Anyways..." He starts making me awww. "Would you like to know what happened in the meeting a few minutes ago, or should we keep joking around?"
Liz POV
As I look back from the hostess waving at Y/N, I'm met with the smirk of a 15-year-old.
"Does that happen a lot?" She asks before stabbing a strawberry with her fork. "Does what happen?" I ask, pretending to be clueless. "Girls throwing themselves at Y/N." Geneva dramatically falls onto the table.
William clears his throat as a warning to Geneva just in case she's crossing a line. But she's not. Because. "No. It doesn't."
Geneva makes a questioning hum.
"Okay, I'll bite. What?" I ask, tilting my head. But the teen just smiles and smirks again.
"Okay, Wanda." She takes a sip of her water. "I was just saying that you had a certain look of jealousy in your eye. I mean, I get it hex is very attractive-" "Geneva."
"Dad." She mocks back. "Elizabeth knows." I breathe out. "For the last time, it's Lizzie." I chuckle. "And yes, I do know. But that doesn't mean every girl throws themselves at Y/N."
(A/N: They do)
Geneva puts her hands up in surrender. "I was just saying." William leans over and apologizes for his daughter in a very teasing way, making Geneva defend herself, leading to her and her dad playfully arguing.
It's cute, but it does make me think about my father. It's been months since I've seen him or spoken to him, and yet I wonder what he's doing right now. I know he misses me, but is he truly sorry?
Y/N has moved on from how he treated her, but I can't.
He hurt me and someone I love—bottom line.
"Elizabeth?" Geneva pulls me out of my thoughts. "It's Lizzie." She smiles back, loving this back-and-forth we have. "Sorry." She makes a very sarcastic gesture as she rolls her eyes. "Lizzie?"
"Yes?"
"D-do you think.. Do you think Y/N would follow my Instagram?"
Okay, maybe Y/N IS everyone's favorite.
"I just love you and her so much. And since you don't have any social media anymore, it'd be really cool! Plus, I love her music! And we are all forming this fanfic kinda bond right now, so it seems like-" I hold my hand to let Geneva catch her breath.
I take a glance at William, who shrugs.
"I'm sure she wouldn't mind, but try asking her." Geneva nods and grabs her phone. "Okay!" She immediately gets up and runs out to speak to Y/N.
"Oh wait, Geneva.. I didn't... mean now... she's gone."
"And then there were two." William laughs as he leans back into the wooden chair of the restaurant. Rubbing the grey hairs, he has under his neck. "How long do you think she'll be?"
"I was just about to ask you." I chuckle while William smiles before leaning forward with his elbows on the table. He clears his throat before taking a full of coffee.
"This is a lovely place you and Geneva picked. I've never been here before." I say as my eyes dart around the fun interior. "Yeah. Geneva and I have been coming here since she was about 2." My eyes widen a bit. "Oh wow!"
William nods. "Course, she only remembers it only being just the two of us."
Oh!?
"There was someone else before?" I cautiously ask. Curiosity getting the best of me. William nods again. "Clara. Geneva's mother." There's sadness as he says her name.
"Excuse me for asking. But has she passed?" William doesn't take offense and only offers a shake of the head. "No." He sighs. "I don't think anything will kill that woman." Again, he rubs his shaven beard. "She's not in our lives."
"Oh.. By choice?" He nods. "Ours." Referring to him and Geneva. "Geneva has always been a bright girl. Smarter than me. Funnier than most. She's the type not to be afraid to show off what makes her, her."
I nod along to his words and smile. It's true. I barely know this father and teenager, but everything he's saying is true.
William takes a breath and sniffles as he continues speaking. "Clara did not like that. Especially when Geneva was discovering who she is." I raise my eyebrows and make an ahh noise.
"I used to work a lot more than I do now, so I was blind to it."
I tilt my head and bring my body forward against the table. When William moves his face upward, I can see the light of the morning sun bounce off the water in his eyes.
I hesitate to ask... "Did she ever-?" William stops me before I can finish. "She never laid a hand on her. But the verbal assault was enough." A shaky breath escapes him. "What kind of parent does that?" He asks me.
Once again. I can't help but think of my father.
"It only got worse when Geneva was brave enough to come out and tell us that she was gay." William clears his throat again. "And maybe another reason she did it was to show she wasn't going to change. Or maybe she did it because she truly thought it would change Clara."
William sighs with a shrug.
"Of course, I accepted her, and I thought my wife did too..." He shakes his head. Still hurt. "But one week later, she was trying to send our tween off to a conversion camp."
He pauses.
"I never looked at the person I married the same way after that." He picks up the napkin in his lap and runs it over his nose as I blink away the tears in the corners of my eyes. "I had a point when I started this, I promise." William cracks. "I could tell." I light-heartedly joke back. He smiles.
"Geneva is one hell of a kid. One in a million. And she likes you and your girlfriend. And hell, for some reason, it looks like you like us too." I smile and nod. "And she may look tough as nails, but she's still a kid, at least to me. My girl." He says. "So please be careful with her."
I nod with a sniffle."I can promise you that Y/N and I only want to be the best for her." I take a second. "She's a brave kid. She helped me be brave, too."
William smiles.
"Jesus..." I ran a hand through my hair. "It sounds like we're adopting her." William belly laughs at that.
Y/N POV
"They pushed. They want it to be like a real debut album. And since this is more than an EP, they're making you go self-titled. hex." Bo says on the other side.
I sigh. This isn't the worst, and I know I should be grateful for this opportunity. So I breathe out and smile. "Okay. Timetable?" I ask.
"Late Summer," Bo says as he looks at a stack of papers in front of him. "August."
I turn around when I feel the eyes of someone on me. I quietly laugh when I see an out-of-breath Geneva.
I quickly wave to her as she waves back.
"And did they say anything about a tour?" I raise an eyebrow with interest.
I hear Bo go quiet.
"Ten shows to start. With you going self-titled, your livestream tonight and if depending on your sales once released, they'll add more."
I nod to his words, but I hate the roadblocks I have placed in front of that I must maneuver to please men in suits.
"But you get to pick where you want the tour to start."
It makes me smile because I instantly think about my Dad and where to play. "Nashville. Anywhere you can fit me."
When the call ends minutes later, Geneva politely holds her phone out to me, and I press follow.

The livestream, which many thought was going to be small, was watched by over 200,000 people. Oh, and what about the songs, you ask? It looks like the album is going to be a solid eleven songs. But just before signing off, hex let it slip that there may be more in the future. Deluxe album, maybe?"

Y/N POV
"I'm still having nightmares..."
I breathe out and shift my body on the brown leather couch. Cliché, I know, but Sofia, my therapist, loves it.
"Have they gotten worse?" Sofia asks me. I briefly look her way before nodding. Guilt and shame I still carry with me. "Would you like to go into more detail?" She questions as I swallow the lump in my throat. "Umm." I start. "Basically, it starts out the same..." I clear my throat and move myself into a much less relaxed position.
"Liz will be gone for the day, and I'll be at home on the phone with my mom waiting for Liz to return.. Sometimes, she'll show up in the kitchen's entryway like before. Or... Other times, she won't show up at all..." I clear my throat and run my hands up and down my knees. "The times that she does show up, it's just like how it happened, except she doesn't hold back. And nightmare Liz says things I know Liz wouldn't... but it feels real. So real."
"Have you told Liz about these nightmares?"
I nod. "I did."
"Did?" Sofia writes something down before looking up at me, waiting for me to continue. I shrug. "I can't bring myself to tell her about the more gut-wrenching and violent nightmares."
Sofia takes a second before replying.
"I could understand that. But do you think there might be another reason?"
I do, and it's stupid. I exhale and feel small at this moment. "I- apart of me-." I close my mouth and start over. "There's this voice in the back of my head. And I don't know whether to listen to it or not."
"What's it telling you?"
"That Liz doesn't trust me anymore."
I feel a flash of embarrassing warmth runs over my body. My body is telling me not to trust the words my brain is making me believe. "What do you think? Do you think Liz has lost trust in you?" I move my eyes away from Sofia and onto my glass of water sitting on the cork coaster four feet from me. It hasn't been there terribly long, just long enough that some condensation has set in on the sides of the glass.
"Y/N?" Sofia calls for me to focus up. I slowly do, bringing my eyes back to her. I shrug. "I could see her losing her trust in me." Sofia sits quietly as I open and close my mouth. "And... I know you tell me that it's not my fault, but it is. What happened to her was my fault because of my lack of actions."
Sofia shakes her head. "I'm not here to tell you what you choose to keep to yourself was bad or awful. I'm here to listen and to help you. But yes, I don't think it was your fault what happened." Sofia leans back into her chair. "So why do you think Liz does?"
"I didn't say Liz did." Sofia looks at me with a really face. "Y/N." She puts her pen down. "We've been seeing each other for half a year now. I like to think that I can read between the words that you're not saying. So let me ask you and be honest with me. Do you think Liz has lost trust in you because of what happened with her who shall-not-be-named because we made an agreement? And if so, could you give me a reason?"
I smile at her agreement and then try to think of a reason. Slowly, wondering if my mind was just being cruel or not.
Liz POV
"Sounds like you guys need to have sex."
I slam the pantry door close and turn to my sister. "Oh my God! Courtney! I am not having this conversation with you!" I shake my head and pull my water bottle close to my lips. Unscrewing the cap as I roll my eyes. "I can't believe you sometimes." I take a sip of my water before closing it. "We're supposed to be having a nice breakfast. You ask about Y/N. One thing leads to another, and you say that!"
Court puts her hands up, straightens her shirt, and laughs as she steps away from her empty plate.
"Besides, you know it's more complicated than that." I grab the plate and turn towards the sink. My mind starting to wander away as the water gets hot.
But it's true. Y/N and I haven't been exactly on the same page for a bit now.
"I know Lizzie. I'm sorry it was a bad joke."
Court walks up next to me and bumps me out of the way so she can wash her dish. "It's okay." I breathe out as I scoot away.
"Is it? Are you?" Court asks as she shuts off the water.
"Some days are better than most. Those days, we feel like we're how we were before. But.. but then there are moments where I remember and feel hurt." I rub the spot on my wrist where the bruise has faded. "And I know it wasn't purposeful, but... I don't know it just-"
"Just would've been easier if she told you from the start."
I nod to my sister.
No one aside from Max, Courtney, and Kathryn Hahn knows what happened. I didn't want to tell my mom and the twins because as much as they love Y/N, I'm afraid they wouldn't be as understanding as I want people to be like Kathryn and Courtney.
And I know Y/N told Max. Max not so subtly sent me a text recently talking about how amazing Y/N is. I think whenever Y/N called Max, the most damaging parts of her mind were telling her things that would never happen.
"I'm sorry, Lizzie." Courtney places the plate on the drying rack and dries her hands. "But like you said, you know it wasn't on purpose. Y/N just didn't want to believe it was someone that was so vile and abusive towards her." I nod with a sheepish look. "I mean.. if I were in Y/N's shoes, I probably would've done the same... maybe. I don't know." Courtney shakes her hand and tosses the drying rag onto the countertop.
"Where is she, by the way?" Courtney asks, pulling my focus away from the talk I need to have with Y/N. "Oh, Uhh.." I tilt my watch towards myself. "She should be on her way home."
Courtney looks at her Apple Watch. "Therapy?" I nod. "She's been having nightmares. She thinks I don't know." I pull my phone out and sigh. "But whenever she shoots awake, it wakes me up..."
"Do you know what they're about?"
"Me. Her. Naomi." I grimace at that final name. "Ah." Court replies. I can tell she wants to ask or say more about the situation but doesn't.
"Is she still ubering?"
I smile and quickly breathe in and out at the conversation moving along before making a kinda motion with my hand. "Sometimes. She took the Prius this morning."
"How does she not have a car yet?" I shrug. "She didn't need one in New York or her for a while, so there was no need. But we both know she needs one now. So she's been looking at some."
"Oh yeah?" Courtney smiles, getting excited. "Like what?! A jeep? A Tesla? Oh, wait! A convertible! Oh my God, Y/N would look so hot in one!" Courtney goes wide-eyed and shuts her mouth closed as I stare at her. "What I meant to say was... is that I hope it's a nice car. One she can look modest in."
I once again roll my eyes. "Uh-huh. Does Ness know about your little crush?" I make a teasing face at my little sister. She rolls her eyes back to me.
"Yes, she does." Courtney smiles before quickly masking it. "It's not a crush, by the way!! I promise! I just love your girlfriends music."
"And her looks," I mumble. "What was that?" Court asks. "Nothing." I smile as I walk the two of us outside to the garden.
"Wow. It gets more impressive every time I come over." Courtney stands there in awe as I pick up my garden gloves to get to work. "Thanks." I smile back.
"Has Y/N done anything in the garden?"
I shake my head. "She can sometimes have the opposite of a green thumb. And she's a complainer." I laugh as Court nods, finding a spot on the outdoor couch. "Must only be an Olsen thing. Ness can't water a plant to save her life." I chuckle and bend down in the dirt. "I tried teaching her a while ago, but it ended up with me banning her." I hear Courtney laugh. "Maybe I'll try again in the Summer. Maybe after the twins' birthday." I add on as I start snipping.
"I like that." Courtney vaguely says. "Like what?" I lift my head to her. "That even though you're in this place with Y/N now. You still see a future with her."
I lower my hands and think. She's right. Of course, I see a future with Y/N. We've already gone through so many hardships and times without one another. Why would I want that again? Why would I even be with her now if I don't see a long future with her? Us. Marriage. Kids. I see it only with her.
"Yeah, yo-you're right." I lift my head up and smile as the lump in my throat goes down.
I love Y/N with all my heart.
I don't want this distance between us to be present anymore. I want her.
I look at my watch again. She should be home soon. "Lizzie..." I look over at my sister as I snip at another plant. "Hmm?" Courtney puts her phone down and looks at me. "Dad's trying to get me to convince you to talk to him again." I sigh and groan. Courtney nods. "I'm not going to do that. I just wanted to let you know that he's been trying."
"He can try all he wants. You. The Twins. Jake. I don't want to talk to him." Courtney nods again. "I know... how many times this week has he tried calling you."
"Twice."
Courtney hums. "Well, even if he's tried repairing the bridges with the rest of us, we're still in your corner, Lizzie." I smile and thank her before I spend the next few minutes in quiet. Thinking about Y/N.
I know she would never do anything to hurt me, and I know how incredibly guilty she still feels for everything that happened. I feel a pang of guilt as well. I sigh, rip off my gloves, and throw them into the dirt. My mind won't let me focus on the greenery today.
Instead, my eyes focus on my left hand. Empty.
I look around the garden and look into the house. This is our home. Ours. I smile at the memories we've already made and think about the future.
I look back to my hand before looking at Courtney. "Hey, Court..." Courtney shoots her head up from her phone. "Yeah?"
"I'm not saying I want to, but how soon do you think is too soon to get eng-"
"Liz? Babe?"
The sound of Y/N's voice shuts me up as I quickly stand up and brush the dirt off my hands and pants. "Hi!" I smile and walk towards my girlfriend as Courtney stands up to steal a hug first.
"Hey, Courtney!" Y/N smiles widely and hugs my sister.
They've been in contact since Thanksgiving, and she is always happy to sit and talk to her like a friend she's known for years. It's been great to say.
Even Mary-Kate and Ash got a little jealous.
"What are you doing here?" Y/N asks as I wrap my arms around her and kiss the side of her head. When I pull away, I see a flush on her cheeks. She looks at me and smiles. It reaches her eyes for the first time in... well, anyway, I smile back and give her an I missed you look.
She sees it.
"Oh, you know, just stalking you-" Court says clearly without thinking before nervously laughing and covering her mouth. "Oh my God! That was supposed to be a bad a joke! I didn't mean-" She gets more flustered and has a scared look on her face as Y/N and I just stare at Courtney.
It's obviously a sore subject still, but we know Courtney didn't mean anything but it.
"It's alright," Y/N assures her with a flat smile. "Let's just..." Y/N stops talking as Courtney quickly looks at me with a sorry look. "Courtney was just helping me get some stuff done around the house before tonight!" I interject and brightly smile. "Yes! I can't wait!" Courtney catches on and shows her excitement for the premiere tonight of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness!
"Aren't you excited!" Courtney asks Y/N, who nods her head. "Just nervous, honestly." I rub my hand up and down her back. "About what?" I question as Y/N sheepishly looks at me. This worries me a bit.
I think Court catches onto the slowly shifting vibe and makes the decision to grab some waters for the three of us. "Y/N?" I tilt my forward. "What's up?" Y/N avoids my eyes and holds my hand. Leading me to the shade-covered outdoor couch.
She holds my hand before lifting her beautiful face to me as we sit down. I smile at her and wait patiently. Silently letting her know that I'm here.
I'm here.
Y/N nervously opens and closes her mouth before finally saying: "I love you, Liz."
"I love you too, Y/N," I reply back with the same inflections as her.
"Are we okay?" She asks, and I don't waste a second tightening her hand in mind. "We are," I reply, only to earn a shake of the head. "No, Liz, really... are we?" I swallow the feeling in my throat and nod once again. "We are. We are Y/N."
"And y-you trust me?"
Y/N asks with a shaky breath. Clearly, this is a question that's been plaguing her. "More than anything." I close my mouth and scoot more into my girlfriend's touch. "Y/N... look at me."
Y/N lifts her head to me, and I see how much sadness is being held in her eyes; before I can think of what to say, my mouth starts rambling.
"I love AND trust you more than anything..." I sigh when I think about how the two of us have been walking on eggshells with one another when we've done this song and dance before.
"I'm sorry for giving you distance when you didn't need it. Or for making you feel bad or guilty when that wasn't my intention... I don't blame you." I catch my breath and give a sad smile. "I was just so upset... I'm sorry." Y/N keeps her eyes on me as I softly speak to her before I see them dip down to my neckline. I look down and know that I just so happened to be wearing the necklace she gave me on our second first date.
"Y/N, I trust and love you, and all I want is for us to put her in the rearview. It's you and me, remember."
Y/N nods and gives me a watery smile with her bright eyes. "I remember." She sniffles. "I just never want you to be hurt because of me again, Liz."
Tears threaten to spill.
"I won't because you won't. Okay?" I can see the relief on Y/N's face as a tear falls from her chin. "Oh, baby.." I wrap my arms around her and let my girlfriend collapse into me. Her face falls as she buries it into my neck. Her tears landing on the exposed skin.
"I'm sorry..." She whispers. "There is nothing to be sorry for," I whisper back. "I just love you so much. I'm so happy to have you in my life, Liz." I kiss the side of her head and allow Y/N to let herself fall apart in my arms as I whisper sweet nothings into the top of her head.
When the tears slow, Y/N eventually lifts her head to me as we're settled into the corner of the couch.
"I love you, Elizabeth Chase Olsen." She speaks in a hushed tone as her fingers dance along my knee. "I love you too, Y/N Y/L/N." I smile at her touch and take ahold of her chin, quickly giving her a peck on the lips before asking: "Is there anything else on your mind?" Y/N barely budges as she gives me a little shrug before nodding.
"Your premiere is tonight." I nod along to her words. "Uh huh.."
I watch Y/N close and open her eyes. "Am I coming?" I stop and tilt my head, confused. "Of course, you're coming! I have your outfit picked out for you and everything! We talked about this a month ago." I look into her eyes that, hold a look of loss and confusion. "Oh..." Y/N simply states. "I don't remember us talking about it."
She furrows her eyebrows, trying to remember. I do the same because she should remember, right?
After a moment of silence, I look to the door to the backyard and see Court smiling with a thumbs up before she disappears into the house.
"OH!" Y/N breaks up the moment between us. "I remember you talking about it. It was... it was right before Kathryn's party." She starts explaining as I nod. "That's right!"
"You looked stunning." Y/N winks with her tired, cried, and dried eyes. "As did you." I kiss her head as she continues. "I think that's the moment I knew I would never write a break-up song about you."
I smile and let out a laugh through my nose. "Is that right?" Y/N nods. "Clearly left an impression, but I think while you were talking about my outfit for the premiere, I was thinking about a song for you..." I sit up, shocked that this is the first I've heard about this. "A song... for me!?" Y/N sniffles and laughs, clearly a little shy about it. "Yeah..."
"Hey! What- why- I." I can't even form a sentence as I'm trying to find the right words to use before settling on it. "Can I hear it?" Y/N takes her left hand in my right and kisses it. "Not yet... not right now." The corners of my mouth dip down slightly, but it's Y/N choice. I'm just happy to have her here and to be a part of her process, no matter how big or how small. "Sorry." She says, but I'm quick to shake my head. "I'll listen to it whenever you want me to. Can I ask what it's maybe about?"
Y/N thinks before saying: "It's about being yours. Your one. Our future..." I see Y/N's eyes dart to my left hand before moving to my face. "I know we've barely scratched the surface when we've talked about it, and I'm sorry if this is a little scary, but after the past month and day I've had, I just need you to know, Liz, that I'm with you. For better and for worse."
"It's not scary." I'm quick to tell her. "And believe me, I know this because I'm yours, and I'm with you. For better or for worse. It's you and me."
"You and me."
I smile as Y/N's lips melt into my own. She lifts herself up and crawls onto my lap, facing me. She kisses me again and again before kissing my jawline, smiling. I react by finding my lips on the side of her face. Marking my way up to her ear before Y/N giggles and backs away. "We shouldn't." She says with a look in her eye and a smile that screams WE SHOULD. "Why?" I ask with a smirk.
"I don't want to traumatize Courtney."
Shit. I forgot she was here. Instead of answering, I roll my eyes and kiss Y/N softly as she places her head next to mine.
"Liz?" She whispers into my ear. "Yes?" I whisper back as my hand moves up and down her body.
"We're not engaged now, are we?"
My hand movement stops, obviously catching Y/N's attention. She rapidly leans back into my hand and looks at me in the eyes. "Just to be clear!" Y/N's anxious voice comes through. "I don't think we are! But! Everything we just said to one another would make it seem like we did just propose! Right??"
I swallow the last remaining calmness I probably had as my body starts to grow nervous and anxious. Because Y/N is right. "You don't think we are?" I ask, not knowing why I said that! "Are we??" Y/N goes wide-eyed! "I don't want this to be how I propose to you!"
"You want to propose to me!??" My pitch and tone matches hers. Y/N lifts her hands and covers her face. "I mean, obviously! I'm dating Elizabeth Fucking Olsen. I didn't want to do it today! If that's what just happened!!"
She lifts her hands and runs them through her hair before breathing out. I can't help but look at how adorable and fucking precious Y/N is being in this shared anxiety-inducing moment.
"Okay," I say as Y/N looks at me. "Okay?? Okay, what?!?" I hold my hands and take hers.
"Yes."
"Yes?"
"Yes," I confirm. "I would love to marry you and accept your proposal... but it shouldn't be today." Y/N's smile doesn't falter as she takes a breather before nodding. "It shouldn't be." She says back. "Is that okay?" I ask. "More than okay." Y/N laughs as she's coming down from her high.
Her heart probably going as fast as mine.
"You really want to marry me?" She says as her hands find my hips. "Someday. Yes." I hear Y/N whisper, "That's cool." Making me smile and say: "And what if I want to propose?"
"Then just do it before me, Olsen."
"Hmm, okay, Y/L/N." I lean up to kiss Y/N, but she backs away before my lips reach hers. "I'm taking your last name, just so you know."
"As if you couldn't get any sexier."
After a while of kissing and talking, Y/N falls asleep on top of me as I lay holding her on the couch. I clasp my hands around her body, kiss the top of Y/N's head, and smile as I switch the ring on my right hand onto my left ring finger.
Someday. Not today. But someday...

Y/N POV
I sit next to my beautiful and elegant girlfriend as we sit in the back of a black Escalade on the way to her world movie premiere here in Los Angeles!
Liz is dressed in a full black set of Alexandre Vauthier blazer and pants with Jimmy Choo platform sandals to match. And I can't get over how much my mouth waters at the sight.
Earlier, she gave me a treat of kisses before her makeup was finished so I would be on my best behavior. If my nerves weren't threatening to spill out all over the backseat, I probably wouldn't be.
Well, anyways, in contrast to her black, I'm wearing a Scarlet Red Michael Kors jumpsuit with heels to match. I thought about wearing sneakers, but I'm fairly certain Liz had Courtney hide them from me.
Speaking of Courtney in the car behind us, she is also wearing red in the form of a dress that makes her smile shine brightly.
Damn the Olsen and their genes.
I smile at Liz as she is locked into the camera on her phone. Looking at herself and the way her hair is. She was sculpted by God and yet worries about a strand of hair from time to time. "Babe, leave it. Sascha did great!" I playfully smack her hand away from her hair, making her quit. Also, so I could wrap my fingers around hers. I guess my grip was a bit too strong because Liz was immediately pulling away to take a proper hold of my face.
"Y/N? Are you okay?" I try to slowly nod yes but fail. "I'm nervous," I tell the truth and watch a sympathetic smile form on her face. "Do you want to tell me what about..?"
I swallow. "It's our first time being somewhere like this. Being a couple. In public together." Liz nods along. "It's not like when we were in Austin for Love & Death, and it's not like here when we go incognito to Target together. This... this is different."
Liz carefully thinks over her next few words to me before speaking. "We don't have to go public if you're not ready. I'm ready whenever you are."
"I know, but that's just the thing. I'm ready now. We've talked about it, Liz, and I am ready. It's just scary."
"It is scary." Liz agrees. "But there's no one I'd rather do it with. Plus..." Liz smiles and takes my hand back to wrap her fingers around mine. "Think of all the people like us... I'm thinking of Geneva right now." I smile at that. "I bet she's watching the live streams," I say with a shake of my head as my phone glows with a new text.
"Whose that?" Liz leans into me to look at a message from Bo in his new publicist role. "Looks like the record company is pushing my new identity everywhere." Liz reads the text over again and then looks at me. "So if we do interviews on the red carpet, you're going to be introduced as Hex?!"
I nod. "I mean, it was going to happen eventually, I guess.." I like the name and the idea of promo starting now, but starting on the premiere of Liz's new movie feels weird to me. "Hmm." Is all she says before turning away.
"Liz?"
"Yeah?" She turns back to me. "Is this okay with you?" I can see it in her eyes that it's not 100% alright. But her being perfectly supportive, I watch her lie and say: "Of course."
"Liz..." I whine, making her remain stoic. Damn, being a fantastic actress. "Talk to me."
"I'm fine." "Liz." She goes to argue that she's fine again, but I drop my phone and stare her down. "Ugh." She groans. "I... I just wanted the world to know Y/N first. Not Hex."
"Oh..."
"But it's a part of your and our life now, so it's fine." She turns back to look out the windows, as her words hurt me more than she realized just as we pull up to the premiere. The driver parks as a man in a tux walks towards the door, getting ready to open it.
Without warning, I reach over Liz and lock the door. "Y/N!" She exclaims as I turn her to look at me. Her eyes moving away from the man, trying to open the door but failing. "I will always be Y/N Y/L/N before Hex or before we get married, and I change my last name to Olsen so for tonight and however many moons after you call me Y/N. Not Hex. Just Y/N like I know you want to. Like you always have."
"Y/N I-"
She goes to argue, but I unlock the door and watch the man stumble backwards as the door flings open. Making a few people behind him laugh. I ignore the looks from my girlfriend as I give a wait-one-second look to everyone outside waiting before closing the door again to kiss Liz.
Because to me, she's Liz. Like to her, I'm Y/N.
"You and me." She says with a bright, pearly white smile before bringing her thumb up to wipe her lipstick off my lips. "You and me," I reply as her soft thumb leaves my red lips.
"Stay here," I whisper to her as I exit from my side of the car and come around to her side full of flashing cameras and screaming fans. I take a quick second and do my best to calm my nerves before opening the door to my girlfriend, whose smile blesses itself down onto me. I extend my hand to her to help her get down and out of the car, and when she does, she turns to me and kisses me. In front of the whole world.
Elizabeth Olsen and I just became public.
Liz POV
I'm going to be honest. I didn't plan on kissing Y/N just then, but she just looked so fucking sexy, and I could tell she was so anxious about tonight that I couldn't help myself. She's mine, after all!
Regardless, the amount of photos of us quadrupled when I did it. Meaning if it's not trending, it will. Everyone will see it. Max, Y/N's label (which should help them), Aubrey, My Dad, and a crazy ex who is awaiting a meeting at a courthouse.
Isn't it so weird how doing something considered normal by most will make you trend?
Anyways, I take a hold of Y/N and don't let her go throughout almost all of the photos I'm forced to take for my job. I laugh and help Y/N as she struggles to find her angle in a sea of cameras, but by the time it's time for my solos, she's nailing it.
Her stage name gets called, and she plays it as if she's heard it a million times before.
I watch in awe and amazement at how far she's come.
"Ms. Olsen!" A staff member surprises me as they appear by my side, letting me know that interviews are set to start and that I need to move along. I thank them but let them know that I'd be waiting for my girlfriend, and to say they did a double-take would be an understatement. But with one quirk of the eyebrow, they retreated.
Thank you, Scarlett, for that life hack.
"Hi!" Y/N is all smiles as she greets me. "Hi!" I reply back. "You ready?" I ask, knowing that the same staff member already told Y/N that we'd be doing a majority of the interviews together. "Yes... wait!" I stop and watch Y/N pull out her phone and point her camera towards me! I pose and smile at her antics before stopping when she looks down at her phone.
"Okay, now I'm ready!"
A/N: And before you ask yes! Y/N met the actors for Billy and Tommy and took silly selfies with them :)
Oh, and Xochitl Gomez tried her best to get Y/N to spill any details about the upcoming album.

"Yes, please," I say as I stand by my wife sitting at the kitchen island.
"Omg no." I continue whispering.

Waking up on the floor from my drunken stupor at five in the evening is not how I'd expect today to go. But it's what I deserve after the things I said to Lizzie. My love. My fiance. I didn't mean to hurt her. I wanted to let her know what I was feeling, but I was chasing her out of our Richmond home before I knew it.
That was three days ago.
I know by now she's back home. Or at least I hope. She has yet to call or text me, and I don't blame her. But I know she misses me, and I love her. I'm not going to give up.
_
After giving myself a much-needed shower and putting some of Lizzie's gross anchovy toast into my stomach, I decided to sit on our bed and call her. It's six now, so L.A. time it's..... ten in the morning. She'll probably be gardening, taking care of her little kiddos. She hates it when I call them that, but everyone knows she can be such a mom.
Okay, stop stalling, Robbie.
I unlock my phone and go to our text messages. My heart breaks a little looking at the last several texts I sent her. All left on DELIVERED.
I click on the call button, and to my surprise, I hear her angelic voice.
L: "Hello."
R: "Lizzie! Are you safe?"
L: "Yes, I am."
I can feel tension over the phone. I pause, thinking about how I want this conversation to continue.
R: "Lizzie I-."
L: "Why are you calling me?"
R: "Well, I haven't heard anything from you for three days, Lizzie. I was starting to get worried."
I hear Lizzie let out a heavy breath.
L: "Were you starting to get worried, or are you worried? There's a clear difference and let's not forget that you were the one that said you were having second thoughts and-"
She's right.
R: "Lizzie, I'm sorry. I know I hurt you, but that was not my intention-"
I hear Lizzie, and someone else starts laughing before Lizzie shushes whoever else is with her.
R: "Lizzie, are you laughing at me? Who are you with?"
L: "No, I'm not laughing at you, Robbie. Something funny just happened in front of me. Look, listen, I got to go. We can finish this talk later."
R: "Wait, Liz-"
L: "Alright."
R: "Elizabeth, I love you."
L: "Alright. See you later."
She didn't say it. The line goes dead. Once again, I'm left alone with my thoughts. I drop my phone onto our bed and begin dragging my feet into the kitchen. I grab the nearest bottle of brown bourbon, making a promise to myself to drink until I can't remember.
Y/N POV
I close the door to my apartment and lean my back against it. I let out the one squeal I've been holding in since she left me earlier. I know I shouldn't be freaking out. I mean, yes, it's a date, but it's not like a date date, right? We're just friends.
But she is insanely attractive, dresses so cool, her voice is soothing and cute, plus she makes me so comfortable and omg, I need to pick out an outfit! I sprint into my bedroom and rush head first into the closet.
"Now she said I don't have to wear anything too fancy, but what does that reallllly mean?"
I rip out half of my closet, searching for the perfect item, and after an hour, nothing calls to me. I flop myself onto the pile of clothes on my bed in frustration. Without realizing it, I begin to call my Mom.
M: "Y/N, are you alright?"
Y/N: "Yes, Mom, I'm fine. I just need some help."
M: "Some help? Help with what, darling?"
Y/N: "I'm going out with a friend tonight, and I have no idea what to wear!"
After painfully walking my Mom through the simple steps of modern technology, she begins to help me. However, over a half hour later, I quickly realized that she has no idea how I dress and what looks good. So I'm sadly back to step one.
M: "Y/N."
Y/N: "Yes." I responded, frustrated.
M: "If you're going to continue having an attitude, I'll hang up. I raised you better than that."
I walk off screen to mock her and throw my hands up at her.
M: "Y/N?"
I walk back in frame so she can see me.
Y/N: "You're right. I'm sorry." I lie.
M: "That's okay. Now, what about the black piece under your Taylor Swift Cardigan?"
I look for what she is talking about. Oh, this! I pick it up and hold it up to the camera.
M: "What do you think?"
I do like it, but I don't think it's good enough for Liz, but she told me not to wear anything too fancy. So I guess this should be okay? Plus, it's black, and black looks good all the time, right? I'm so tired of looking at my clothes, so this will have to do.
Y/N: "I think it could work. Thank you, Mom!"
M: "Of course, dear. Y/N promise me you'll call soon so we can have an honest talk about your life.
No.
Y/N: I promise
M: Now go get ready!"
Y/N: "Okay. Bye, Mom! Love you!"
M: "Love you too."
After hanging up with my Mom, a rush of panic runs over me as I realize how many texts I've missed from Liz.
Liz - Sexy ☕️ Bitch
I hope whenever you see this, you enjoy the name 🤍
Today 2:07 PM
You haven't seen my text yet 🥺
Oh completely forgot to send the address for tonight, so here you go! I can't wait! (address attached)
Hey Y/N, did you make it home okay?
Please text me when you see this.
Suppose you're having second thoughts about tonight. I'm sorry I feel like I'm pushing you.
Please text me or call me, so I at least know you are safe, but if you don't want to, I can understand. I'm sorry.
Oh my God! I've had Liz worrying this whole time. And Jesus, she is so fucking cute with all these texts. But oh my God, I'm an asshole!
Hey, I am so sorry! Yes, I'm alive. I just saw these texts!!!
I just got off the phone with my Mom.
She was helping me pick out an outfit for our date!
I'm so excited!
I just clicked on the link, and it's somewhere I've never been to, so now I'm extra excited!
The link could've been to a fucking Mcdonald's, and I would've still said what I awkwardly said.
Oh shit, she's typing.
Y/N, omg, I'm so glad you're alright. I swear I was about to go search all over the city.
I'm so so so sorry for making you worry! Can you forgive me?
I'll think about it!
Okay, I thought about it.
Yeah, I forgive you lol
(Aww, that's cute. She still uses lol)
Whew, thank you, Liz
So do you like it?
Like what?
My name in your phone?
It's perfect.
😊
so you going to tell me what you're wearing tonight or is it a surprise?
Hmmmmmm
A surprise
But don't expect something crazy
😒 finneeee
Hey, I don't need any sas from you, Miss.
I'm glad you remembered Miss not Ma'am like a good girl.
So I'll see you at 7. Don't be late
I practically throw my phone across the room after reading that last text! Good girl! Good girl, she said! She has to know what she's doing! Right? Fuck, this actually might be a date date! How me? Why me? Oh shit, I need to start getting ready NOW!
After giving myself the most needed shower in history, I sat on the floor debating on what shoes I wanted to pair with my black bishop sleeve dress. I think heels would work, but I hate wearing them, so I'm going to hedge my bet and wear my black vans to match. Liz did say it wasn't too fancy of a place!
I slip on the dress and walk into my bathroom to look myself over once more. Even before Naomi ruined me, I don't think I ever looked at myself more than I have tonight. It was not exactly easy when all you've been told is how unattractive you are and how lucky you should be that even be graced in the presence of someone who was supposed to love you no matter what.
I reach my hand out and touch the mirror of my hand. Yep this person looking back at me is me. Tonight I don't look at myself with hate and disgust. This is a moment I hope to save. I look down at my counter space and search through all my bathroom drawers and cabinets until I spot my make-up bag.
"Let's do this, huh?"
_
Liz POV
(What Liz is wearing tonight and awww, look cute, Aubrey)
"I should've just had someone pick her up. What was I thinking?" I look at my phone - 7:04. Where the hell is she? I run my hand through my hair. "Y/N would've told me if she was backing out. She's probably rushing to get here. I trust her." I put my head into my hands. My mind is spiraling into a panic, and the constant thoughts of the last three days don't help. But seeing and meeting Y/N has been a bright light. Literally, since I saw her that first day, I can't help but think of her being all cute while reading my order back to me. I feel drawn to her, and I can't explain it.
"Liz?"
I look up, and it's her. She's here!
"Y/N!" I walk up to her and hug her. I feel like I caught her off guard because the hug she gives me back isn't a full one. "You ready?"
"Yeah, sorry I'm a little late. I got turned around at one point, and........" I hear her, and I'm trying to process what she is saying, but it's slowly becoming gibberish as my eyes start wondering. Y/N is doing things to me right now. Who knew just a black dress and vans could look so good on someone. My eyes work back to her face and her cherry-red-covered lips. She's beautiful.
"Liz?" Y/N breaks my thoughts. "We going inside?" I nod, grab her hand, and head in. I make a beeline to the hostess. The hostess looks us up and down with a stank face. Bitch.
"Name?"
Now for my favorite part. "MK," I say in my most bitchy voice. I watch from the corner of my eye Y/N look at me, confused, before looking back to the hostess, flustered and embarrassed.
"Oh my goodness, I am so sorry, Mar-MK. I didn't recognize you with your sunglasses on and your new friend. Please give me one moment." I watch her squirm and phone someone. I'd be lying if I said I didn't enjoy this.
The hostess ends the call as a waiter dressed in all-white tux approaches.
"Walter will be taking care of the two of you tonight. Once again, MK, I apologize for my ignorance tonight. I hope you and your friend can forgive me." The pleads fall on deaf ears as I pull Y/N to follow Walter to our private table.
I look back at Y/N, who has a face painted with amazement. Everyone in this place screams money, and I feel a little regret bringing Y/N to such a place on the first date. Once we reach our table, I pull a chair out for Y/N. She thanks me as I take a seat opposite her. Before Walter can even ask, I answer. "Red." Walter nods his head and disappears.
"Okay, what the fuck was all of that!" I don't think I've ever heard anyone this giddy before. I smile and explain that I used my sister's name to get us a table here and that fucking with the snobby people is all good fun. Y/N laughs, and it warms my heart to see that after seeing how she was at the park. Walter returns with two glasses and a handpicked bottle of Red.
"For you and your friend."
"Thank you, Walter." I address the man but stare at Y/N as she ogles everything around her. She's so cute.
"I shall be back momentarily." Walter leaves us, allowing my date with Y/N to begin properly.
I grab my glass as Y/N follows suit. "To tonight and everything that comes with it." Y/N and I share a smile as we each take a sip.
Comfortable silence begins to build. I don't mind because it gives me time to get lost thinking about the woman in front of me.
"So, do you just wear those sunglasses all the time, or are you hiding something?" I smirk at her question. "And what if I am hiding something?" She leans in. "Then I'd like for you to share it with me." Okay, Liz, moment of truth. I feel my nerves working their way up my body. Y/N would've known by now. I don't want to brag, but I'm Elizabeth Olsen!
I remove my sunglasses and set them on the table. I look Y/N straight in her eyes. I watch them go from eager to wide. Oh no. This was a mistake. "Wow." Is all Y/N can manage to spurt out of her mouth. I panic. "I know, Y/N! I feel like I should've to-"
"Your eyes." I stop in my tracks. "What Y/N?"
"Your eyes are so beautiful." Is this happening? "I mean, now I can clearly see you. You are so beautiful, Liz, but your eyes are like hiding their own little emerald forest inside them. Wow." I feel the butterflies inside of me multiply.
"Oh my gosh, I'm sorry- I shouldn't-" Y/N's eyes divert to the wine glass and then back to me. "What did Walter put in this?" Y/N asks, taking another sip, causing me to hunch over laughing. "Walter sure knows how to pick them, huh?" I respond, watching Y/N giggle to herself. Okay. So she really has no idea who I am.
"So the whole point of this dinner was to get to know each other. So let's start." I don't want to waste any more time. I want to know Y/N.
"Okay, I'll try not to struggle, but no promises, Liz." Y/N gives a half-hearted smile. She seems to get nervous when attention is shown her way. Or maybe it's just me? "Y/N, I just want you to know tonight is supposed to be fun, so there is no pressure here. Tell me if we get onto a topic you don't feel comfortable with. Okay?" I assure her. Y/N shines me a smile that could light up the world till the end of time. "Thank you, Liz."
"Of course. Let's each take a big sip of this wine, and then I'll ask a question." Without another word, a chug of wine goes down my throat. Y/N once again follows suit.
A/N: This is officially the longest chapter I've made. It's got pictures, drama, and turns that I don't think you're ready for. So go to the bathroom, grab a snack and stay hydrated.
Happy reading 🩵!
"Mom, you're favorite daughter is here!!" Liz takes my hand and begins dragging me through the house with a child-like smile full of glee.
Y/N POV
Oh, this is going to be a gas, I think to myself as my eyes look back from the twins to Liz to the beautiful house around me. Pictures of childhood memories line the walls of a home I can't wait to see later.
"And who might that be?" We hear an older voice call out as Liz drags me closer and closer to what I can only assume is the kitchen based on the wonderful smell radiating in the air. "Me!!" Liz yells back to her mom Jarnie as we round a corner and spot a busy kitchen with some people I've never met.
Liz drops my hand and runs past two familiar-looking men. One of them is Ash's husband, Louis, who gives me a courtesy wave, and the other is who I can only assume is her biological brother. The man looks up and shoots me a smile before leaning over to say something to the other woman in the kitchen. She quickly turns to me and wipes her hands on her blue apron as Liz finishes up her hug with her mom.
"Hi. I'm Alexis." The woman with the apron moves before me with a warm smile. "Oh, hi, I'm Y/N!" I reach my hand out and let my nerves do the shaking as the man next to her reaches his hand out. "Hi. I'm this one's boyfriend, and those two older brother. I'm Trent." I look behind me to see the twins roll their eyes at their brother. "Nice to meet you!" I say with a smile before holding back some laughter due to Mary-Kate's words, "Oh please, the only thing nice about him is his hot girlfriend." Trent scoffs at this and directs his attention to the duo behind me. "MK, you wouldn't know shit if it hit you in the face."
Without warning, Mary-Kate and Trent begin bickering. Playfully, of course.
Well, I hope it is.
"This happens every year." I turn to my right as Alexis starts leading me away from the bickering siblings, just as Ash joins in. "They love each other dearly. I'm sure you know." I nod my head along and smile as Jarnie yells at the trio to knock it off. When my eyes met Liz's, I couldn't help but laugh as Jarnie covered Liz's ears before yelling at her siblings. She looks like a little kid.
"You guys are cute together." I move my eyes back to Alexis with a raised eyebrow. "Sorry. I- It's just true. Plus, she seems happier than she did last year." Oh? "Last year?" I ask Alexis. "Oh, uh, I shouldn't have said-"
"Babe!" My attention shifts as my smiling girlfriend comes crashing into me, lacing her arm around my body and pulling me closer. "Hi, Alexis! Nice to see you!"
"You as well!" Alexis smiles back. "Is it okay if I steal Y/N? Just real quick?" Liz asks with a smile and squint of the eyes, making me internally laugh. Alexis puts her hands up, mocking defeat. "She's all yours." Oh yes, I am.
"Yes, she is."
Liz utters those three words making my jaw drop, and Alexis' face blush. Neither one of us expected to hear that. But my girlfriend just smiles and starts leading me no less than ten steps to Jarnie, who looks at me with nothing but care in her eyes. "My goodness, Lizard, look at her!"
"Mom-"
"Oh, honey!" Jarnie moves her attention from Liz back to me. "You're beautiful!" Without another moment between us, Jarnie pulls me into a hug before relenting. "Thank you for joining us this year." A smile sneaks onto my face at the sincere words and feeling of love surrounding me. "I was more than happy to come. Honestly." I say truthfully. "I was also going to bring a gift, but Liz fought me on it." I send a confident smile.
Don't get me wrong. I'm terrified to be here. Afraid that something will go wrong. Or I'll open my mouth and insert my foot. But at the same time. Liz was missing home. She tried to hide it the best she could, but I could see it. Between the uptick in calls to her mother and the amount of singing Lizzie would do about songs from her childhood
I would do anything to be here with her now.
Plus, I needed to meet more of her family at some point!
"Oh, nonsense." Jarnie waves her hand. "According to the internet and our Lizard, it appears you're quite busy." I look to Liz, who makes a locking gesture to her lips and shrugs. "Is that what our Lizard is saying?" I peel my eyes back to Liz's mom, who picks up on the looks between her daughter and I. "Yes, contracts for record companies being signed and all that! But frankly, anything to get her to stop talking about her garden all the time" Jarnie then makes a don't tell her look even though Liz very clearly heard her mom. "Mom!"
"Oh, I'm teasing, honey." Jarnie waves her hands at her youngest before grabbing me and positioning me next to her. "Yeah, we're just teasing Lizzie!" A very smug-looking Mary-Kate says as she walks past her sister to the fridge, clearly not knowing what's going on. "Oh, is it teasing Lizzie time?!" Ash chirps, much to Trent's delight and Liz's dismay.
"I say so!" Trent speaks up.
"Baby photos or high school first?!" Mary-Kate excitedly jumps and down, begging me to answer from across the kitchen, while a wide-eyed Liz runs to me and quickly places her hands on my mouth. "Do not answer them. You love me, and it will stay that way!" I can't do anything but laugh through Liz's hands. "Don't do it."
"Lizard, let her speak."
"Mom, she'll betray me! I know that look!" I glance at Jarnie, who shakes her head. "You're right." She says to me. "High school photos first!!" Jarnie says, causing the twins to shriek and run out of the kitchen, spilling water from a freshly made cup. "Mom!!" Liz turns to her mother with a betrayed tone—faking sadness and offense.
"What? Y/N's the one who said it!" I look to Jarnie with Liz's hands still on my mouth. She does nothing but smile and wink. "You'll love them, dear." Without thinking, I try speaking, but nothing but a muffled noise is heard, causing Liz to laugh in defeat before removing her hands. "Thank you, Jarnie," I say with a smile that gets returned. "I bet you look cute!" Liz rolls her eyes and hangs her head as the twins' yells are heard through the house. "Well, thanks, Mom. Let's get this over with.."
"Wait, shouldn't we help?" I look to the remaining food that still needs to be prepped. "Nonsense," Jarnie speaks up. "Alexis and I got it. You're our guest this year. But next year you'll be here next to me. Okay?"
"Yes, ma'am." I nod to Liz's mom, who gives a wink. "Now go see pictures of our Lizard."
I turn back to Liz, who happily grabs my hand and leads me past Trent and Alexis trying to hide their smiles before she turns back to her mother. "I'm still your favorite, though... right?"
This causes me to laugh and wrap my arms around my girlfriend. "Oh, come on. Yes, everyone loves you, Lizzie Olsen! Let's go." I say with a smile as I push through the entryway of the kitchen.
Liz laughs with me as we walk through the house towards the loud twins. "She loves you." I bring my attention from the house's high ceilings back to Liz. "My mom. She already loves you. Plus Trent. I'm surprised he didn't give his big brother/if you hurt her speech." Liz pauses for a moment. "Maybe that's because of what happened at the show." I'm momentarily confused but then remember what happened after my All Eyes On Me performance. "So I guess he already knows you'll do what you can to love and protect his little sister." I smile and wrap my arm around Liz. "I do love her." We slow our walk, and I let Liz's lips plant themselves on me.
"Are you doing okay?" I tilt my head at her question. "I mean, I'm the more outgoing one most of the time in this relationship, but you really turned on the charm in the kitchen. You okay?" Liz smirks while she laces her hands in my own, and I squeeze them, thanking her for her concerns. "Uh.. Don't get me wrong. I'm scared shitless right now." I chuckle. "But it's Thanksgiving. With your family! Today isn't about me. It's about us. And them." I gesture with both our hands together. "The people you love. I'd rather be scared and nervous today than to never do this at all." Liz beams at me and kisses me once again. "I love you."
"I love you too."
"And thank you." "For?" "Being you."
Liz POV
I've been embarrassed and teased, and tricked before.
Yes. Mainly by my sisters. We all know the gum in the hair story.
And I'm not saying everyone hasn't been teased, tricked, and embarrassed because everyone has. Growing up with sisters or not. It's a part of life. It happens whether we want it to or not.
But boy, oh boy, do I want it to stop now.
Because against my wishes, the photo albums and years books were pulled out. The twins started with the college photos. Most of which I'm not proud of, but my sweet Y/N loved them and secretly counted every time I had a joint or cigarette in my hand.
That was thirty minutes ago, and now we've moved on to high school photos.
"Oh, my God!" Y/N yells, snatching another photo Ashley held up to her. "Look at the smile!"
"Look at you!" I smile as Y/N flashes the picture to me before dropping it into my hands as Mary-Kate holds up another one like it's a treat. "Oh my God, You're so cute here, Lizzie!" Ash squeals before flipping the photo over.
Instantly I'm trying to cover it, but Y/N fights me off. "Oh, babe." She says with a laugh. "I can't tell if it's laundry day or you're going through a phase." The twins just about collapse with laughter, practically dying at Y/N's words, clearly hitting it on the head.
Y/N herself bites back her lip before scooting closer to me. "I can tell what phase this is." She whispers, forcing me to snatch the photo from her hands. "It's called being a teenager." Y/N just nods to me and mouths the word sure.
"Oh, look at this one!" My brother shouts from his hovering stance behind the twins. In his hand, I see my high school yearbook. "Trent." I quietly plead, but it's no use because instantly, everyone is gathered around Y/N as Trent shoves the book into her hands.
"Babe." Y/N starts as her finger brushes over the picture. "You're so fucking cute! Your hair is a little frizzy, but Jesus Christ, have you ever had a like bad one? I'm talking awful to look at bad picture taken? Has she?" Y/N looks to the twins and then to me, almost as if she's offended. I don't even get to answer before her ramblings start. "God, it's gonna be so mortifying when I take you to my mom's, and in every picture, I look like I just woke, but I'm also somehow a walking corpse." She sighs. "Meanwhile, you've looked like this for years and years?!"
The rest of her words hit me, and I laughed and smiled along like everyone else, but I focused on what she said. "when I take you to my mom's."
My heart warms up at that.
It's evident to Y/N and myself that we're in this relationship for the long haul, but explicit and fine details have never been discussed. Family visits and trips for the next year or two had never been discussed until very recently. So the fact that Y/N is already thinking and joking about the future in which I see her baby and high school photos makes me melt.
That might not seem like a big deal from the outside looking in, but to the two of us, bringing someone home means a lot, especially after what we've been through.
You all know.
"I'm sure you'll look cute," I say as I pull myself back from getting lost in her eyes. But Y/N rolls them to me. "Notice how you said cute and not gorgeous."
"Babe, stop!"
"Oooh, fight. Fight. Fight!" I look to the twins, who are eagerly looking back at Y/N and me, waiting for this to turn into something bigger. Y/N just laughs and shakes her head. "No fighting here, blondes." "Boo!" Mary-Kate speaks up before her eyes focus back on the stack of pictures while Y/N closes the yearbook. "Hey." I quickly grab her hand. "You're beautiful." And thankfully, Y/N blushes and kisses my hand.
"So are you. I have pictures to prove it." She holds up another and smiles. I gently take it from her. "You and every sapphic lover out there."
Y/N's mouth drops. "What- how- yo-" She stumbles over her words, making Trent laugh as he's quietly watched before returning to his phone. "You know. I think I have to put parental controls on your phone." Y/N squints, but I shrug and look over to Ash, who has heart eyes at what she just witnessed. I also see Ash look at Y/N, who is now helping MK try and find even younger pictures of me, before her eyes focus back to me.
"She's perfect for you." She mouths.
"I know." I mouth back.
"Oh hey guys, we should clean up. Dads is almost here." Trent bursts the bubble of memories we're locked in as he locks his phone and puts it into his pocket. I move my head to Y/N, who moves hers from Trent to me. Everyone else in the room wouldn't notice it, but I do. The strong confidence she's been exuding falters slightly.
I go to speak, but before I can even scoot myself closer to Y/N, the twins begin piling up every photo and yearbook to make it appear as if they were never here. "We can look later!" Mary-Kate tells us as she runs to put them away. Ash running behind her to head to the nearest bathroom. When I turn around to Trent, he's already gone back to the kitchen. Leaving Y/N and I.
"They wasted no time.." Y/N nervously laughs. "They.." I lean closer to my girlfriend. "Trent and the twins grew up.. a little more.. differently than I did." I watch as a quizzical look morphs onto Y/N's face. "Differently?" I nod. "More prim and proper." I husk out, which causes a smile to form on Y/N's face. "What?" I ask as the smile turns to laughter. "Well, babe. I've gathered that. But from what I just witnessed." She gestures with her hands. "You would think it was more.. militant."
I make ah sound, but don't argue with Y/N's word choice. "He's a man of respect. Give it, earn it, or don't bother." I pause and see Y/N slowly nod. "But trust me. He loves us and wants what's best for us. It just.. can take a while. Okay?" Without saying it, I'm confirming and trying to keep calm with what we both fear—the possibility of my Dad, David Olsen.. disliking.. my girlfriend Y/N Y/L/N.
"Okay." Y/N takes her hand in mine. "I remember the first day you met my mom, so if I go through the day without crying over tea. We can count it as a win." Y/N squeezes my hand as I remember that day and fall into the crook of her neck. "Oh, God."
Y/N POV
"Alright, they're pulling up!" Mary-Kate yells from the front door and acts like she isn't just peeking out the window. Ash standing right behind her, making the same look. "Girls, get over here and quit freaking Y/N out!" Jarnie yells as she exits the kitchen for the first time today. Well, she went to the dining room to drop some food off earlier, but those places are one in the same. "You two do this every year. It's just your father and siblings. No need to get so crazy about it."
"But-" MK starts but quickly stops as she and Ash step away from the door. "Come on, guys," Liz speaks up and wraps her arm around each sister. It makes me laugh because of the height difference between the three of them. "Don't." MK glares at me before Liz covers her eyes, laughing.
"Knock knock!" The front door slowly opens as a younger male opens the door. Clearly not David, so this must be... Jake! That's his name! "Come on in, hun!" Jarnie makes her way past us to greet the remaining Olsens. "Jarnie, good to see you as always!" Jarnie makes a comment back to Jake as he smiles and makes his way down the line that all of us happen to be standing in. The twins, Liz and I being last.
"Jake, I'd like you to meet Y/N. My girlfriend!" Jake extends his hand with a smile. "Nice to meet you! Court has mentioned you before and sent me your TikTok's. Very talented."
Oh? I didn't realize Courtney had seen them, much less shared them.
Jake keeps shaking my hand as he continues talking about music and how TikTok has been helping all kinds of artists find their base. So he's excited to see what I got coming up. I agree with him, but I would like my hand back at some point. It appears Liz finally catches on and speaks up. "Jake. Her hand." She says with a friendly smile causing him to look down, embarrassed. "Sorry. I was shaking your hand too long." I nod with a laugh. "That's okay. And thank you. It's nice to meet you! We can chat later."
As Jake scurries to put away the bottle of wine he brought, I glance towards the front door, and I see a tall, grey-haired man finishing up a conversation with Jarnie. Both leaving it with smiles. "Chat later?" Liz asks with a smirk. "Shh." I roll my eyes.
"Hi, Dad!" Trent greets his father with a bear hug before David moves on to the twins, who quickly chat up their dad as Liz laces her fingers in mine. "Where's Courtney?" Ash asks, catching Liz and mines attention. "Oh, she's outside talking with her.. friend," David answers with a sheepish look that I catch. "Well, we're happy everyone could make it!" MK speaks up, obviously catching the vibe. "Yes. Yes, of course." David speaks as he moves to Liz and I. "Speaking of hiya Lizard!" David goes for a bear hug like he did with Trent but only gets a half hug in return since Liz refuses to let go of my hand. This earning a look at our intertwined hands. "Dad." Liz starts. "This is Y/N. My lovely girlfriend."
For the first time since entering the house, David's eyes meet my own. He nods his head and simply speaks as if I were a business deal.
"David Olsen. Elizabeth's Father." He extends his hand directly to the one holding Liz's. I feel as if everyone's eyes are on us. Without a shared word between us, Liz loosens her hand so I can let her go too firmly. And I mean firmly shake David's hand. "Y/N Y/L/N. Lizard's girlfriend."
From the corner of my eye, I can see Jarnie, Mary-Kate, and Ashley's smiles spread.
"So I've heard." David drops my hand and adverts his attention as Jake comes back into the room with a scotch in hand. "Ah, thank you, Jake." He grasps the glass from his son's hand and steps aside. "Much needed." He says after taking a long sip. "Jarnie, could you go get Court, please," David speaks to his ex-wife, who is already waving her hands at him as she made that decision first. "Nurse, your scotch." She says, earning a laugh from the twins as they separate to freshen up. Liz is momentarily ushered away by Trent. "Okay, bye." Those two words drop with sarcasm while I wave while avoiding the burning holes in my head.
"Here." I turn to my right to see Alexis with a glass of white wine. "For the... nerves." She so kindly says. "Thank you," I reply with my own long and strong sip. "Everyone goes through it," Alexis whispers to me when she raises her glass. I give her a look to make sure we're talking about the same thing.
We are.
"Wine?" Alexis rapidly changes the subject as someone appears behind me. "Please." My Liz begs. "One minute." Alexis departs with a strong sip of her own.
"I can't believe him."
I turn to my left to see Liz with a tight jaw boring holes into the her father's head. If looks could kill. I sigh and open my mouth."Liz-" "Trent had the audacity to give me the give it time talk." Hmm. "Fuck that." Liz practically snarls. "Give me your hand." I don't even get a second before our hands are tied together once again. "These." She squeezes our hands. "Don't get separated for the rest of the day." "Liz-" I start again but get interrupted by Jarnie opening the door with a very wide smile. Courtney and her friend, as David put it.
"Hey, everyone!!" Courtney beams to all of us. "This is Ness!" She kisses her cheek and wraps an arm around a shorter dyed black-haired cardigan-wearing woman. "Not only a friend." She emphasizes. "But my girlfriend!" Ness shyly waves, clearly not expecting all of us to be gathered in one of the living rooms. "Hi." Everyone, including myself, send warm smiles as Courtney pulls Ness further into the house. Jarnie watching Ness with care, just as she did with me.
At least I'm not the only new person this holiday.
"Oh my God, Lizzie, you brought her!!" Courtney screams as she hugs her older sister. "So nice to see you again, Y/N! Ness, this is Y/N!" Ness looks me up and down, confused, before a light bulb goes off. "Oh?! The one from the show you went to?!" Courtney nods. "Wow. Courtney and I love your music so far!"
"So far?" I tease, earning a laugh from Court and Ness. "It's nice to meet you."
"You as well."
"So Ness, how long have you and Court been together?" Liz asks as everyone begins to shuffle around the house. "Couple of months. Although we can't agree on when we started dating exactly." Courtney laughs while nudging Ness. "Only because this one thinks our first night in Mexico was our first date, but it was obviously the Tuesday at Al's before we even left," Ness speaks before Court pecks her lips to get her to stop. "Mexico or some restaurant called Al's. Tell me, which one sounds more romantic?" Court asks Liz and me as we find ourselves in the kitchen. Again.
"Mexico." Liz and I say at the same time. "Unbelievable." Ness' head and shoulders drop. "Anyways." Court wraps her arms around Ness as Alexis drops off more glasses of wine. "What's new between you two."
Where do we start?
"Oh, girls, save that talk for the table. It'll only be a couple more minutes."
"Of course, Mama J," Courtney speaks for the group. "Shall we?" Liz takes my hand and leads me to the elegant dining room. Clearly, a lived in space, but no one eats here regularly. "Mom, what's up with the name plates?"
"I thought it might be fun this year. What with our new guest and all." Jarnie nods towards Ness and me, whose nameplates happen to be right next to each other. On the other side of me is Liz. Of course. "Ah, no fair!" Mary-Kate whines, finding her spot. "I always sit next to Ashley. I sit next to her every day. Can I switch? Who wants to switch?"
"No switching. Now stop it." Jarnie lightly smacks Mary-Kate's head, earning a quiet "ow" from the blonde as the rest of us begin to sit down.
Jarnie and David are at each end of the table. On either side of David is Trent and Alexis.
Next to Trent is Louis, Ashley, Mary-Kate, and Jake
Next to Alexis is Courtney, Ness, myself, and Liz.
"Alright, Y/N, would you like to say, Grace?" Mary-Kate calmly asks me. Grace? Do they do that? "Mary-Kate." Liz sighs as Ash slaps her twin. "Wow, real violence going on today!" MK rubs where she got hit.
"Serves you right." Jarnie scolds her daughter as she turns to me. "We don't do that. Feel free to do it if you want, or start piling up your plate."
"Piling up my plate sounds good." Jarnie nods back and turns to Liz and not so quietly says. "Have I mentioned that I like her?"
Liz POV
I'm glad to be back home.
I love working, and Texas has been fun, but Y/N was right. I was missing my family and home a lot more than I realized. Because of this: Mary-Kate making a mashed potato mountain while Courtney scolds her for not doing it right. Alexis sharing embarrassing stories of Trent we haven't heard before. Or Ness leaning over to Y/N and I to joke about the twins. This. This is what I love. The fun of it all. The care and joy. Family.
A real Vin Diesel moment.
Don't tell Y/N I watched Fast and Furious without her, by the way.
Anyways I wasn't kidding when I said Y/N's and mines hand were going to be tied together all day. However, if it were up to me, we'd still be doing it, but it was making grabbing the bowls of food passed around very difficult. And eating, for that matter.
"Till after we eat." Y/N convinced me.
Trust me. I know it's a little ridiculous to practically hold someone's hand hostage all day, all because of things my Dad technically hasn't even voiced yet. But I wasn't going to let my father be immediately defensive to Y/N, myself, or Court and Ness, for that matter.
"Wait, what?" Y/N's shocked and open jaw makes me hide my laugh.
"Did you not know?" Ash looks puzzled before her, and my girlfriend's eyes are looking at me. I playfully smile and shrug. "Babe... is there something you'd like to say?"
"Alright, I know Spanish, so what."
"You didn't think to bring that up to your girlfriend?"
"Yeah! You didn't think to bring that up to me?! Like ever!" I shrug again. Enjoying the amused and flabbergasted looks. "I don't believe you," Y/N states as she returns to shoving turkey in her mouth. "There's no way this hasn't come up!" Mary-Kate tries to reason but to no avail.
"So you've been watching me do Duolingo for months and have said nothing?" Y/N breaks after a brief moment of silence. "Nothing?!"
"You never asked for help." I tease, earning a groan. "Also, I thought you've been doing very well, mi amor."
"Gracias." Y/N tries her best to look at me upset but fails as soon as I lean into her and leave a peck.
"Mi corazón."
"Huh?"
"Oh, haven't gotten there yet, huh?" Y/N shakes her head. "Tell me." I keep my face from breaking into a wide grin at the new game I'm going to play. "No."
"Oh, come on." I shake my head. "And no one better help or tell her what it means." I direct to the table and see phones quickly being out away. "That means you, MK."
"Oh, come on." She whines exactly like Y/N. Earning a chorus of laughs around the table.
"So Y/N." My father speaks to Y/N for the first time all meal. Mind you. Enough time has elapsed that some of us are on our second plates myself, Court, Mom, and Alexis. While some are on their third. Trent and Jake. "From what some of the group here and what Courtney have told me. You're quite popular. Talented even." All conversations quiet down, and eyes divert between my father and my girlfriend.
"Oh well." I lay my left hand on Y/N's knee to let her know I'm here no matter how much charisma and confidence she's had it in herself today. "I wouldn't say popular-"
"You held a show right here in LA not too long ago, no?"
"Well, yes, but-" "That certainly sounds like someone who's popular. Talented. Not some nobody. Are you a nobody?" I squeeze Y/N's knees as the clanging of my father's silver wear hits his dish.
"No, but-"
"Do you see yourself having a future? Being somebody?" "Sir, with all due respect-" In an instant, I watch my father move on.
"How about you, Ness?" Y/N looks back at me, mouth agape. "David!" My mom speaks out while throwing her serviette to the ground. "Stop this."
"Jarnie, please."
"Dad!" The twins speak up as I squeeze Y/N's knee again. "Stop this game your playing, or listen to what these young ladies have to say."
"J, what's there to say?" A beat. Confused looks all around. "You know, Lizard." My father draws his eyes back to me. Without removing her eyes from him, Y/N lays her hand on my knee. "What happened with Robbie? I know that Robbie upset you last year-"
"Stop." I close my eyes, hoping he'll listen. "But he knew-"
"Dad, please stop." I can feel Y/N tense as she squeezes my knee again.
"Dad, stop!" Ash speaks as I begin to block out what our father is saying.
Y/N POV
I visibly watch Liz tune out what's happening around here. She's an actress, so it appears she's listening, but I see her. I know her. She's hurting, and the mood for today is ruined.
I lean into her hold and grab her chin gently in my hand, turning her to see me ignoring her father's look. "Hey. It'll be okay." Liz smiles at me and holds back the tears in her eyes. Jarnie watches this interact with a clenched jaw, not at us but at her ex-husband.
"Enough!!" Jarnie shouts out over everyone as she pulls her youngest close. Liz wrapping our hands together. "David Olsen, you've upset everyone with your yammering and condescending questions and statements. Kindly stop it and apologize or leave."
"Jarnie-" David scoffs at this, and I feel Liz tense under my hand again. "David!" Liz sighs- "Dad, stop!" She stands up and yells at her father, surprising everyone.
"What are you doing? Why are you doing this? Just stop it. Stop thinking you know everything or that you have a clue about our relationships or lives! You only know about shit that's going on if Mom tells you or Court and Jake decide to fill you in!" Jarnie places her hand on Liz's arm as Liz stops to catch her breath and wipes some tears that have begun trailing her cheeks. "For the love of God, stop saying the name Robbie. He doesn't exist to us. I don't care what you think, you know, because whatever it is. It's wrong. He and I broke up. He fucked up again and again. And before you start bringing up last year this and last year that. Just stop." Liz sways a bit as she stamps her foot. "God, Dad, do you even know why I was so upset last year?" She sniffles. "Do you even care?"
"Honey-"
Liz places her hand up. "I was upset because that morning, I had gotten my period. After days of bated breath, this was the sign that I wasn't pregnant."
W-What?
I didn't know that.
I feel time halting as my breathing slows as I look around the room. It's clear that no one knew of this except the twins. Their eyes scurrying away from my own.
"But fuck- I- I wasn't upset because I wasn't pregnant. In fact, I was happy. Ecstatic even." My girlfriend chuckles through her sore, sobbed throat. "I was happy. And it felt so wrong to be so happy th-that I twisted myself up into this knot, and I just let myself... go." Liz's lips tremble as she fights for control. "All morning, I just let my body feel. All the emotions. The anger and sadness and the-that fucking happiness that I was putting on myself!" Liz takes a deep breath and lets go of my hand to push her hair out of her face. And I don't know if it was the anger of the weight of it all, but that's when I saw how horrible her hands were shaking and shaking more than the last leaf on a snow-covered tree. I reach up and grab her hand once more. Kissing it. Letting her know I'm here.
The only indication I know that Liz is aware of everyone else in the room is the light squeeze I feel on my fingers.
"But the guilt I felt for feeling how I goddamn felt. Me. The person that would've had to carry it. The person whose body would've been forever changed. My feelings were amped up by the person everyone should live up to, apparently. Robbie Arnett." I turn my head to David for the first time since Liz stood up. Guilt and regret are apparent on his face, but his eyebrows are furrowed, and his eyes remain stoic.
"He wanted kids and that future right then and there. So imagine the hurt I felt. Imagine the look on his face when I laid out everything for him. Okay?" She sniffles again, pushing her pink nose up. "Now imagine when he says nothing. Okay? Now imagine when he starts talking, but those words turn spiteful. Okay? Can you do that? Can you fucking do that, Dad?" Liz picks up her wine glass and rapidly downs it before throwing it into the middle of the table. "I knew that something was happening to our relationship even before that moment. But last year. The same day you want to bring up Dad. That was when I stopped loving Robbie Arnett."
Liz blinks some more tears away before looking around the room. "It was going to happen. And I'm glad it did." The soft tone in which Liz speaks makes me think that it she is talking about isn't her relationship with Robbie. "Excuse me." Liz covers her mouth and bolts from my grip. Running out of the dining room before I can even grasp what transpired in the last couple of minutes. But her footsteps are upstairs and long gone.
The twins hot on her trail, leaving a coat of silence in the large dining room—the quiet air being broken up by my own movement. My body and mind racing and going into autopilot.
Find your Liz.
"Honey.." Jarnie whispers while reaching her hand out to me, forcing me to look at her. Tears fill her eyes.
Mine too.
"Why don't you go check on her. Okay?" I nod, and I don't want to, but I do it anyways. I look into the direction of what caused this eventful meal.
The heads of the side of the table follow my look.
David is leaning back into his chair at the head of the table, looking out the window into the green backyard. I force myself to hold in the scoff.
"Go, Y/N," Court says, sending me a flat-line white people smile. With that, I force my legs to walk away from this. From everything that just happened. "Check upstairs," Jarnie informs me as I walk by her. "Thank you," I reply, only earning a wave of the hand.
"Just hug my Lizard. Please."
"Of course," I answer truthfully, and just as my body leaves the room, I begin to hear the shouting of multiple people.
_
"She locked herself in there," Ash says to me with trembling lips. "We're pretty sure we heard her throw up, but she won't answer us," Mary-Kate adds while she comforts her sister. "She just got her so fast."
Here. A hallway with a bonus room and a bedroom are at the end of it. One-half bath in between. Where Liz is now. "Okay." I squeak out. Still reeling from EVERYTHING I just learned. "We're sorry," Mary-Kate says as she looks down ashamed. Ash nodding in agreement. "Sorry? What are you sorry for?" I shake my head, trying to focus myself. "For what Dad- David said." Ash corrects. "I swear I've never seen him act like that. Well, to that extent." Mary-Kate says and groans before trying the bathroom handle again. "Lizzie, come on. Unlock the door. Y/N's here." She rushes through her words as the guilt eats her up.
But it's not her fault. Or Ashley's. Or anyone at that table's fault whose name doesn't start with a D.
"Babe. I'm here." I clear my throat and stand next to MK. "Open up. We don't have to talk about anything. I need to know you're alright." Nothing. Followed by nothing. I press my ear against the door, and aside from the hum of the house, I can hear what sounds like whispers. Repeating whispers. I pull my head back from the door and gently try the handle again, but it's still locked. The twins look at me curiously as I examine the door.
"Babe, like I said, we don't have to talk, okay? But I'd like to say some things. It's just you and me. Okay?" I raise my arm and shoo the twins away. Obviously, earning a shaking of the head, but I persist. "It'll be okay." I mouth to the duo, who eventually agree with their heads and make themselves home at the end of the hallway. "Okay, now it's just us." I start with a slight chuckle while feeling lost, nervous, and confused about today means for the greater scheme of things.
"I love you. I love you so much, Liz... and I'm- I.." I lean my head against the door while my hands grip the frame. "I'm sorry dinner took a turn, to say the least. But it wasn't your fault." I swallow. "Nothing that happened today or yesterday, or last year was your fault. Because you're perfect, I'm not just saying that to make you feel better or to open this door." I add a small laugh. "I'm saying it because I believe it. I believe in you. I believe you all the time. I believe you when you tell me I look pretty, even when I just woke up. I believe you when you say you like my smile, even though I've always hated it. I believe you when you tell me about your nightmares, no matter how silly and plant-based they are." I press my ear against the door again, hearing a hushed giggle. "I- I also believe you when.." I sigh, still wrapping my head around this.
"I also believe you'd make a great mom someday." A smile creeps onto my face, just imagining it. "And I believe you when you say you were happy about the outcome last year because there's nothing wrong with that. Nothing. You're allowed to feel however you want to feel. No one should tell you differently. You can always choose what you want. You want to cry. You want to laugh. Say Yes. Say No. You name it. Because no matter what, Liz, at the end of the day, it's your life... your choice. I'm just so happy, and I feel so lucky to get to be a part of it. I'm sorry I wasn't sooner.. and Liz, I believe you deserve nothing but support and love all the time. So.." I lean away from the door. "So, Liz, please open the door so I can take care of you right now."
Silence.
And then click.
I'm a little stunned to hear the door being unlocked, that it takes me a second to turn the handle. But the door slowly opens to reveal my shaking girlfriend sitting atop the toilet. Makeup ruined. Her eyes void of the striking green. They've turned red from her hot tears. However, she's still beautiful. She always will be.
"Hey.." I slowly walk in and close the door behind me. Locking it so the twins don't barge in. Liz lifts her face up to me; she goes to smile, but it falters as more tears slip out. "Oh, Liz." I quickly grab the towel off the rack and wet it to wipe her face and chin. Once that's done, I kneel before her and wrap my arms around her. Muffling her cries as her head buries into the crook of my neck. "I'm here," I whisper into her head, earning a nod as she quiets down.
"Come here." I pull her into me as I maneuver my legs under me. I fall back onto my butt while Liz places her weight on top of me. So now we're both just lying on the floor up against the wall. Well, I am, and Liz has her head on my chest. Luckily I know the floor is clean. "I-I'm sorry." Liz sobs into my chest adding new cracks into my breaking heart. "Hey." I kiss her head and pull her closer. If possible. "You have nothing to be sorry for. Nothing." I whisper. "Did you not hear me through the door?"
Liz's sniffles crawl to a stop, and after what feels like a few minutes, she speaks up. "I love your smile." She lifts her head off my chest and looks at me. "You're right. I love your smile even though you hate it." I smile at seeing hers. "There it is." Liz lightly laughs and wipes off the stray tears she has on her face.
"I love you."
"I love you too."
I rise to my feet and help Liz onto the toilet seat again. Grabbing a new rag from Underneath the sink to clean up her trail-stained red cheeks and puffy eyes. "Don't worry. You still look beautiful." I wink at my girlfriend, that looks up at me with nothing but care. "Are you okay?" Liz closes her eyes as I wipe them. "No," I answer honestly. "I'm mad and upset by your fathers' actions. They hurt you. And my feelings. Probably Courts and Ness'." I rant.
"I understand." Liz sighs as I drop the hand towel in her hands. "I hate him." She concludes. "Li-" "No. I do. He disrespected us all. I've never seen him act like that! And what was up with the vague homophobia?? He's known about Court for the last two months? We've been in the news! I don't get it." Liz grips onto the sides of the sink and hangs her head.
"Do you hate me?"
I look at Liz in the mirror as if she's turned blue and grown 7 feet. "What?" I watch her hands let go of the sink and wrap themselves around one another in front of her stomach. She's anxious.
"Why would I hate you?" I question and bring myself closer to her. Liz opens her mouth before giving up on her words and shrugging, making me shake my head.
"Liz, I know you were listening earlier, so listen again. I could never hate you. Could I be annoyed or slightly frustrated? Sure. Has that happened yet? No, never." Nice safe. "So it stands to reason that I could never hate you. I don't want that thought to ever cross your mind. Ever. You're an Angel on earth."
"Do you still want kids someday?"
I look Liz up and down, catching her hand placement this time. I move gently into her space and grab her hands to lace them in mine. "With you? Of course."
Liz lets out a relieved sigh/laugh. "I'll never forget when you blurted that question out in the New York apartment." I laugh back. "I don't know what possessed me to do that."
We stand like that for a few minutes more. But for Liz, I'd stop the world and stand here forever.

After leaving the bathroom to find the twins on the floor with tears in their eyes, claiming that they weren't listening to our private conversation (liars), we made it back to the site of the crime. To find everyone there but one person.
"He's in the study upstairs," Jarnie says before anyone of us even thinks about asking. "Why is he still here?" Mary-Kate sternly asks her mom. "We don't want him here. He ruined the day." Ash backs up her twin and returns to Louis side. They're cute. "Lizard.." Jarnie walks up to her youngest and wraps her up. "I love you. No matter what. You know this, honey." Jarnie rubs her hands up and down Liz's back. "Do you want to..."
"Y/N." I pull my attention from Liz and her mother to Courtney on my left. "Hi." She shyly looks at me. "Umm, look, we're going to talk to Lizzie as well, but Jake and myself and, uh, Trent are just horribly sorry for how our father acted. Like he's-" "Never acted like that." I finished her sentence for her. "I've heard."
"Right. We're just so so sorry. We all love you and think you're wonderful, and oh god, I had all this to say-" I look back to see the twins now joining Liz in her convo with her mom.
"The study." Court looks at me, puzzled. "The study?" She asks, and I nod. "The upstairs study. Where is it?"
The lightbulb goes off above Court. "Up the stairs. Right hallway. Second door on the left."
"Thanks." I nod at her instructions and start working my way out of the kitchen, passing my lovely girlfriend with a kiss on the head. "Babe?" I turn back to face her when she grabs my hand. "Where are you going?" She knows. "Liz-" "No." "Liz, I want to speak to him." "No." She grips me harder. "Stop, let's just leave." I shake my head to her as Liz's sisters and mother watch us. "No. I'm sorry, Liz, but I'm not letting this go without speaking to him. He doesn't get to push anyone of us like that." "But-" She loosens her grip on me. "No buts, babe. I love you and respect everyone here, but I respect myself too. Maybe not all the time," I squeak out a laugh. "Okay. I love you too. Be careful."
"Always." I kiss her head and give a nod to the twins. "Y/N?" Jarnie calls out to me just as my foot hits the bottom step. "Yes?"
"Thank you for being there for her. In more ways than one." Jarnie covers her mouth, her hand as if debating something. "The first Thanksgiving, our Lizard, brought someone home, it was a blonde hair man whose name I forget, and I didn't like him all that much. No one really did, but we played nice for her sake, and we wanted what made her happy. But he came and went... Then Robbie happened. And he was a nice change of pace for her. Kind and caring, but something was missing that David and I couldn't put a finger on. But once again. We just wanted what made her happy." Jarnie stops as she walks closer to me, taking my hands in her own. "Today." She starts. "Today, I saw her eyes shine, and her smile shine brighter than ever before. You're right for her. Everyone here can see that. Including David." I tilt my head a bit at that last word. "No, I know. That sounds ridiculous, but I think it's true. He doesn't want Lizzie to be hurt again. He's a scared old man." She laughs. "But how he treated you and Ness, for that matter, is unacceptable. So when you get done yelling or talking or knocking him a new one, find me so I can do it as well. Okay?"
I laugh and smile at Jarnie. "Yes, Ma'am."
"Oh, stop with the Ma'am. You're going to be family soon enough. Mama J is fine." She pulls me into a hug that has the warmth of a loving mother. "Family?" I question. Mama J nods. "When you and Lizard are ready, you have my wishes."
Shocked isn't a big enough word to describe how I'm feeling. "Oh wow. Thank you! Thank you. Liz and I haven't even been together that long, and we have our whole careers and everything plus-" "Dear." She stops me. "It doesn't have to be tomorrow. I just don't see you going anywhere anytime soon. You and Lizard have already been through what most people go through in a lifetime. So I have faith. No, go upstairs. He's probably brooding." She pats my shoulders and heads down the hallway towards the bathroom Liz was held up in earlier.
Sensing someone watching me, I move my gaze to them. I see Liz watching me with a smile I've missed over the last half hour. "Did you hear all that?" I asked with a hushed whisper.
"I don't know what you're talking about." She replies in the same manner. "Uh-huh." I playfully roll my eyes and head up the stairs. In less than forty steps, I'm up the stairs and down the hall in front of the study. I stand there staring at the dark oak door breathing in and out. Calming my nerves that are making their appearance once again.
"Let's fucking do it." I knock on the door and twist the handle to open it.
"Mr. Olsen?" I ask I my eyes scan the darken room. Bookshelves and paintings line the wall. Amazement and wonder fill my eyes, and I'd love this room. On some other day. Because right now, I'm here for the man sitting in the brown leather chair. What appears to be a first-edition book of some kind in his hand.
"I'd like to discuss what happened downstairs." I firmly imply as I close the door behind me and stagger my steps to behind the chair oppose of Liz's father. "How so?" He closes the book and lets it rest on the table next to him giving me his full undivided attention for the first time today. "I'd like to know why you did what you did," I state, earning a Hmm.
"What was it that I did?" He's baiting me. "Mr. Olsen, I would just like an explanation as to why what happened. Happened. Was it something I did or didn't do?" He remains silent. "Is the fact that two of your daughters and I can't believe I'm saying this are in a same-sex relationship?"
"Don't be so naive, Y/N." He leans back into his chair. "Excuse me?" I say.
"I don't care if my daughters have, as you put it, a same-sex relationship." I lean forward. "Then what was that?"
"What was what? What did I do?"
I clench my jaw as he goes to pick up his book. Fuck it.
"Okay. Sir. You want to know what you did. What you already know." He closes his book once again and looks up at me. "You just pushed and pushed Liz to embarrass and humiliate herself out there in front of the people she loves most. And whether you like it or not, as you so claim, I'm on that list of people. Now are there days where I feel as if I don't deserve it? Sure. I'm sure you love to hear that." I stand away from the chair and let my feet guide myself around the room. "But that doesn't mean I don't love and care for your daughter every goddamn day as if she created the very ground I walk on. And I know. I know you love every single one of your children. You want what's best for them, like every parent should, whether they're blonde-haired assholes or guys who give her the world only to rip it away again and again. However, how you acted downstairs makes me think otherwise." I point my finger. "I'm better than both of those guys will ever be, by the way. Oh! Also. Liz talked about how you're a man of respect. You earn it, give it, or don't bother, right? So where was my right to earn it in your eyes today? Or Ness, for that matter. She and I had today to make you see how much we love your daughters, and you couldn't bother. Everyone else could. But not you? What is this a test." Mr. Olsen stands for the first time since I walked into the room. It throws me off a little, but I don't stop.
"And just so you know, I have worked my ass off to even be where I'm at today. These last few months haven't been easy, but I'm here. I'm a fucking artist now. And no, your daughter didn't do anything for me except support me. So before you go off thinking I'm only with her for money or notoriety, that's the furthest thing from the truth. I didn't even know who she fucking was till after we slept together!"
Okay, I should've kept that last one in.
I stop myself and look at the man I've been yelling at. "I'm sorry." I freeze, realizing the words that just left my mouth. "No, wait, no, I'm not. I'm not sorry. You treated me like dirt so I could yell at you and tell you that I love your daughter and that I don't plan on going anywhere."
The silence that follows speaks for itself the longer it goes on.
"I just want what's best for Lizzie." Her father breaks the tension in the room as he leans himself against what looks to be a hundred-year-old desk. "I do too." As if that's not obvious, I want to add on but refrain from doing so. "I respect you for coming up and laying into me; however, how you did so was only because of my arrogance, and for that, I'm sorry."
I don't say anything.
"Now.." David takes a pause as he pushes himself off the desk. "I don't know if you're the one for my daughter. You appear to be so." Here we go. "You make her happier than anybody I've ever seen. I would hate for her to lose that." Implying I would do something to hurt Liz. "I understand." I extend my hand to him. He looks down at it and shakes it as I open my mouth. "However, I can't accept your apologies. You hurt your daughters' feelings and my own today. I know you're a smart man. Capable of reading the room and the emotions within it. I thought what you did knowing that was mean. So thank you for your respect and for letting me know how happy I make my own girlfriend, but I don't need your respect for myself. I only need your acceptance for Liz's sake."
"I see."
"So once you apologize to your daughters and to Ness, then I'd love to sit down with you and talk about everything under the sun. Once again, thank you." Without another word, I drop his hand and turn my body to head out the door. Mr. Olsen doesn't stop me.
Liz POV
We all look up as we hear the study room door close. Yes, all. All of us who surround the table now stand at the bottom of the stairs.
Y/N appears from the top of the stairs, not with tears in her eyes or a clenched jaw but with a look of pride? Yeah, pride. "Hey, everyone." She smiles as she descends the stairs. "So!? How'd it go." Jake speaks up. Out of everyone, he was surprisingly really nervous for Y/N and made that known to me when he noticed Y/N was missing moments ago. "Umm.." Y/N plants herself in front of me, and behind the pride on her face, I see exhaustion taking over.
This day ruined us.
"It was informative." She decides.
"We thought we heard yelling," Ashley says as she earns a slap on the arm from Mary-Kate. I ignore them as I wrap my arms around Y/N. "It's true," I add. "Maybe a little." Y/N turns to my mom.
"If you want to go up, you can."
"Oh, honey, I will soon enough. Before we leave."
"Leave?" Y/N questions. "We're going to my- our house." I correct myself. "Our home here. To finish the rest of this day. Dessert. Board games. Movies. Nap somewhere in all of that." I do my best to smile as Y/N doesn't say anything, but I can tell she's thinking. "Is that what you want?" She asks. I honestly want this day to be over. I would have loved to stay here curled up on the couch after stuffing my face more, but the thought of staying in this house longer than an hour after being forced to share things I never wanted to again makes me sick.
"Yeah. Family bonding."
"Okay. Then su-" The upstairs study room door closes again. "Lizard." My father calls out to me as my mother and Y/N move themselves before me. "David, how about some other time? The girls are exhausted."
"It won't take long." He argues. I wrap my hand around Y/N's and pull it as we leave the foyer to go to the kitchen. Ignoring my dad's eyes and pleads. "Did he apologize to you?" I ask Y/N as I begin packing the Tupperware full of food into a tote bag. "Yes and no." She says. "Babe, what are you doing?"
"Is he homophobic now?"
"No. Just old. Babe stop. You shouldn't be doing this. You're exhausted." She takes the bag from my hand and places it down on the counter. "I hate him." I reaffirm as Trent walks into the kitchen. "Lizzie." I hold up my hand to my brother. "Don't."
"He wants to talk to you. Apologize." Trent looks at me so seriously it makes me laugh. No, really, it makes me laugh. I cover my face with my hands to stop myself from crying as I do my best to keep my smile. "No."
"No?" Trent asks as the twins enter the kitchen now. Moving past our brother to help with the loading of the food.
"No, he doesn't get to just apologize."
"Lizzie, I don't think it's like that."
"I don't care what you think it's like, Trent." I fully turn away from the counter to look at my brother. "I don't care what Dad wants to say or do. He should've done right earlier or not shown up today. So it's too little too late." I turn back to Y/N and my sister, who each have a bag around their arms. "Let's go." I muster out as I avoid the concerned look from Y/N.
Trent moves out of our way. "You can tell Dad I don't want to speak to him. I don't want to hear from him. Tell him I said no. No is a full sentence."

Missed Calls
Dad (2)
New Voicemail: Hey, kiddo. I see I missed you again. Umm. I just wanted to call and let you know that I wish you and Y/N a happy new year considering I won't be staying up. Everyone here misses you. Me included. Umm, anyways, so long. Love you, Lizard.
I drop my phone from my ear and onto the bathroom counter. As you can tell, I haven't spoken with my father since Thanksgiving. It hasn't been hard to avoid him, but it can't exactly be easy.
"In a minute!" I respond to the rapid knocking on that guest bathroom door that I'm on the other side of. "But Lizzzard, it's me!" I chuckle and put my phone away before opening the door to reveal my very drunk girlfriend. "Why, hello, beautiful!" The drunker she gets, the more of a flirt she becomes. "Hi, baby," I reply as she pulls me into a kiss. A kiss that keeps going and going from my lips to my neck and my collarbone. "Ba-aby." I fluster out. "We have to stop. Someone could see u-us."
"Let them." Y/N looks up at me with that mischievous look in her eyes. "Oh no. Not here. Not in Ivy's penthouse." Y/N bites down on my skin before removing her lips from me. "Fine. Only because you're so fucking smart." She huffs and fakes annoyance before breaking out her wide smile. "I love you." She laughs. "I love you too. Okay. Now move it." I turn her around and smack her ass, so she starts moving us back to the party.
As we whiz through people we know and don't know, Y/N locks her hand in mine. "I wish we had the party at our place." She whines, and a part of me agrees because I know Y/N is horny and would kick everyone out. Another reason is having Ivy and Max host a party was safer for us, especially after some concerning pieces of mail were dropped off at our LA place.
We alerted all who we needed to, but with the holidays, so haven't heard much back.
The pieces of mail were pictures of us. At first, we thought they were paparazzi pictures, but the closer you looked at them, they clearly were pictures a stalker would take. Photos of Y/N coming and going from her record company. Pictures of the two of us at dinner. Even a picture of us when we donated food and toys to the local animal shelter. Y/N's idea, by the way.
But to say we were freaked would be an understatement. I locked myself away in my cave for three days like a ball of anxiety before Y/N, and I discussed our next course of action. She blamed herself, while I blamed myself. But it's neither of our faults—only that assholes.
So anywho, it's been a crazy past two weeks between that and Christmas. Plus seeing Scarlett, Colin, Cosmo, and of course, little Rosie!
"Y/N! Lizzie!" Both of us turn our heads around to see Ivy. "Hey, you two! I've barely seen you since you guys got here!" "To you. Wait, you too!" Y/N stumbles as I just smile at Ivy. "What she said." I laugh and pull Y/N closer to me, not that she minds.
"Where's Max?" Y/N questions. Ivy takes Y/N's finger and points so it'll be easy for her to follow. "Ah!!!" Y/N squeals and drags the three of us over to see Max with a fashionably late Scarlett and a star-struck Sam..? Yeah! Sam, that's her name. The blonde that used to work with Y/N.
"Nice of you to join us ScarJo!" Y/N stumbles a bit as she taunts Scar. "Oh God, she's not drunk, is she?" Max intercepts only to get my nod. "She wanted to celebrate what the new year has in store for us." "Meaning?" Scarlett questions while laughing. "Multiverse of Madness, my new show, her record, us in general-" "Wait, stop!" Scar sets her drink down. "HER? New record?! She signed?!"
Apparently, this is new news to Scar. "Yeah, she did." I smile. "Oh, my God! That's amazing!" She focuses her attention on Y/N, who looks like she just won the lottery. Oh gosh, I forgot about her crush on Natasha Romanoff. "Come here!" Scarlett pulls Y/N into a hug. "Watch the hands, Y/L/N!" I yell to my girlfriend, who does nothing but gasp and pull Scarlett into her again.
Oh, she's so going to get it.
Once everyone stopped hugging one another, I not so gently and calmly pulled Y/N onto my lap once we all gathered around a table in the corner of the room. "Mine," I whispered into her ear as Max questioned Scarlett about Black Widow and The Outset. "Yours." She whispered back.
"So, will you keep the name Y/N or create a stage name?" Ivy asks as her fingers dance around on Max's neck. I hide my smile behind Y/N, knowing the name she came up with. "Stage name." She says with a wave of her hand before flopping into me. "Do we get to know it?" Sam laughs.
"Oh yeah, sure, it's-"

Also I truly love every single one of you that takes time to read, comment, like and share this. It means the world to me. And thank you for letting me be me and write this story. 💜 See y'all soon!!
I wish I could say that waking up to the sounds of giggles wouldn't be the worst thing in the world unless you're at summer camp, or if you're like me, you wake up with the worst headache. I don't remember how much I drank, but I regret it.
I struggle to force my eyes open, but once I do, I find Liz sitting upright, looking at her phone next to me. Wait, why is she next to me? Didn't I fall asleep on the couch? Without moving my body, I move my eyes around the room. The room is a very minimalist style that I don't mind. It's cute. But I'm not too fond of the natural lighting that is seeping its way into this room. I turn to look at Liz.
How can someone look so good in the morning? All she is wearing is a big oversized t-shirt; from what I can see, the rest of her body is covered by the giant white comforter that blankets us. Wait. We're in bed together! Oh shit. Wait, what am I wearing? I look down at myself. A big oversized t-shirt and I can feel shorts on myself. I don't remember putting these on.
Her giggle breaks me out of my quiet panic state. I watch as her ringless fingers begin typing away on her phone before being hit with a sudden rush of last night.
Liz places her finger on my lips, silencing me before dragging me to bed.
"Hey, you're awake!" I look up at the forest eyes that are melting me. "Oh, shit, did I wake you?" Worry runs across those same eyes.
"No," I say in a raspy voice. I clear my throat and try again. "No."
"Okay, good. Can I show you something?" I nod. Liz dips down towards me and shows me a picture of me sleeping in her photos. "This picture is so funny. Look at how grumpy you look! I saved this as your contact photo. Sorry, not sorry." Liz laughs, and I can't help but laugh with her. I sit up, and I don't know what comes over me, but I can't stop myself from tucking her hair behind her ears—rubbing her face in the process. She looks over at me. Our eyes lock.
"So now you want to be cute and sweet, huh?" Liz's questions confuses me? I tilt my head. "Was I not last night?" Liz smiles; turning her back to me, she pulls down her shirt showing off her neck and shoulders. "Oh my gosh." She shows me red marks along her collarbone and back.
"Oh fuck, Y/N!" Liz moans into her pillow as I bite down on her back, leaving another hickey. My left-hand grabs her hair tightly as my right runs over her stomach.
Liz pulls her shirt back up and faces me. "Don't worry. I loved it." She scooches closer to me and intertwines one of her hands with mine. "I wouldn't have let it happen if I didn't want it. Okay, Y/N?" I shake my head at her. "Okay." Liz lets go of me and gets up from the bed. Oh, look, she is wearing shorts! I can't tell whether I'm annoyed or relieved. I should be annoyed, right? "Time for breakfast!" I go to help Liz, but she intercepts me and softly pushes me onto the bed, stopping me. I laugh at how cute she is being. "Oh no, you don't! I'm making breakfast for you! Waffles or pancakes? There's only one correct choice Y/N!"
"Okay, Liz." She watches me with glee as I get myself comfortable in what I assume is her bed. I make a thinking face just for Liz even though I know the answer.
Liz turns her head towards me as she opens the door. "You're right. I don't plan on it, Y/N." She winks and rushes out of the room, shutting the door behind her. I throw my head back onto the headboard behind me. A smile still drawn on my face. From the bedroom door, I hear the muffled beginning of Rhiannon by Fleetwood Mac. I don't know how long Liz will be, so I take the time to check my social media and text Max, letting her know that I'm alive.
_
After a while scrolling through my different social media proves to be a task. Old high school friends are getting engaged. Vacation photos. Boring things. Who cares. Yuck. Twitter doesn't help one second; its Memes, then the next; it's an announcement about some new movie I know I'm not gonna watch. As last ditch effort, I check the news section. Top one of the day.
ELIZABETH OLSEN LEAVES NY RESTAURANT WITH MYSTERIOUS WOMAN DAYS AFTER LEAVING SET OF THE DOCTOR...
This chick just can't seem to get out of the news, huh? I hope she's doing well. I don't bother looking at the attached photos because that's not my business.
I hear the music outside the door stop. I go to sit up, but I'm in a silly, goofy mood, so I throw my phone back down and cuddle into the bed, pretending to be asleep. I hear the bedroom door open from my fake slumber, and Liz walk in. "Okay, Coffee Girl, I really ho-." She must've noticed. "Y/N?" I hear her set down the tray of food? "Y/N?" She asks in a much quieter voice. I listen to her walk toward me.
"Hey, Y/N?" She sits beside me, leans down, and rubs my cheek with her thumb. Fuck, it takes everything in me not to react. "I didn't realize how tired you still were. Well, whenever you wake up, I have some very yummy waffles and fresh fruit for you to eat up. Also, I don't know how you take your coffee yet, so I just grabbed you a cup of OJ. I hope that's okay." She stands back up and walks over to the other side of the room. I hear some shuffling, so maybe she's getting dressed?
My plan was to scare her but hearing her be sweet stopped me. Before this gets weirder or awkward, I pretend to shuffle awake again. "Liz?" I ask in the fakest sleepy voice I can manage. She instantly comes running out of her bathroom. She's wearing a white shirt with green overalls. How does she do it?! She looks stunning for such a casual fit. "Y/N! Nice to see you awake again, sleepy head!" She means it. Liz grabs the tray and brings it to me. "Sorry I took so long with breakfast. I wasn't exactly sure-" I cut her off. "Liz. I'll eat whatever you made me. You have an 'I know what I'm doing vibe' going on, so I trust you." I give her a supporting smile.
Liz places the tray in front of me before backing away, watching me as I look the food over. What the hell was she worried about? It looks so incredible. "Are these fresh blueberries?" Liz nods. "I picked them myself." My mouth drops. "You have a garden here?" Liz nods again. "When we're done, I can show you around the apartment since you didn't get a good look last night."
Liz and I break through her apartment door. Her legs hooked around my waist as I push Liz up against the nearest wall attacking her neck.
"I'd love that."
"But first, eat up, Coffee Girl!"
"Yes, Miss!" I pick up a forkful of waffle as Liz watches with incredible intensity. As the waffle is about to enter my mouth, I stop. "Is it too late to get pancakes?" "Y/N, I swear to God!" Liz groans. "Okay, I guess these waffles will do." I wink and take a bite. Okay. Wow! This seals the deal. Liz is the most excellent waffle maker in history! "Liz." I dramatically place the fork down. "This is the best waffle I've ever had."
"Are you joking? Please tell me if you are." Liz's puppy dog eyes almost breaks my heart. "Awww, come here." I pat the spot next to me. Liz obeys and pops a squat next to me. I pull her into me. "Liz... Last Name, I can assure you this is hands down the best waffle I've ever taken a single bite of." I can feel Liz roll her eyes and chuckle.
Liz POV
I chuckle to stall. Don't get me wrong, Y/N is funny, kind, and caring. But it's clear she doesn't remember me telling her my last name was, in fact, not Olsen.
I drop the second empty bottle of red onto the table, laughing at a story Y/N tells me about her one-day stint at a marketing company. "Okay, my turn!" Y/N claps her hands together and looks at me with such intensity. "So I know your name is Liz." I nod. "You're 32. You have two sisters and a brother?" "Three sisters and two brothers." I correct her. "Wow. I could barely handle it being my mom and I. Okay, you're so gorgeous because you're a model, right?" Y/N is right. I did tell her that's what I do. Technically I help my sisters from time to time, so that's not a lie. "Yes. I am."
"Fuck I'm having dinner with a model!" Y/N eyes go wide. I can tell it's her drunkness talking for her. "You weren't supposed to hear that, Liz." Y/N covers her face in embarrassment. I laugh, letting her know it's cute and alright. I watch as she tries to rack her brain to keep the convo going. "Is there a question you've been wanting to ask me?" Her very own question catches me off guard. I bit my lip in thought. "Y/N, is that your question?"
"Yes." Well, I know her name is Y/N Y/L/N. Her mom lives in Nashville, TN, for her job. Y/N's an only child. She has yet to mention her father. She went to Syracuse for a while before not going there anymore. That's all I know about that situation. She's single! She loves Mexican cuisine. She has zero pets. Oooooh, I know what I can ask.
"Y/N?"
"Yes, Miss?" Is that her leg brushing up against mine? "What's your favorite movie?" She goes to answer but stops. She sits back in her chair, almost looking defeated. After seconds of silence, "I don't know..." I know she doesn't know who I am but does she not watch movies? "Do- Do you not have a favorite, or do you not watch movies?"
"I don't watch movies. I watch shows like Parks and Rec and stuff." Oh wow. I mean, that's completely fine, but wow. "Not even those Marvel blockbuster ones?" She shakes her head no. "But Max does! She has been trying to get me to watch them for years now." That will be a fun bridge when we get to it. "Okay, what about something like... Gone with the Wind?" She looks confused. "That ancient movie?" Oh boy Y/N is lucky she's bringing me so much comfort and joy. "Yes, that ancient movie! I watch it every year." "Why?" "Why not?" I shoot back, smiling. Y/N loses this argument. "Okay, your turn Coffee Girl!"
"That nickname is sticking, isn't it?" I begin pouring glasses from our third bottle that Walter, at some point, dropped off. "Yes, it is Y/N. Yes, it is."
"Liz, what's your last name?"
So now I either tell her the truth or delay once again.
"Chase." I instantly feel a mix of guilt and regret my choice.
"What or who do you want me to chase?" Y/N responses, happy as a dog.
"No, Chase is my last name. Elizabeth Chase." I bring my eyes to meet hers, and I hope she doesn't look right through me. Y/N looks down at me and squints. "You told me this last night, didn't you?"
"Yes, I did, but that's okay." I don't know if it was a mix of my nerves or how I feel with Y/N, but the next thing I know, my lips are pushing onto hers. I pull back, watching a smile form on Y/N face. "If you wanted the waffle, you could just ask Liz." I lean myself into Y/N, kissing her again and again and again. I feel myself getting lost in this moment just as Y/N's hands find their way to the sides of my face, gently tearing herself away from me. Heavy breathing picks up the space between us. "Yes?"
A series of knocks answered before Y/N could. "I think someone's here for you." I turn my face away from Y/N, looking out into my apartment. Panic begins to rise inside of me. I feel myself slipping out of this dream life Y/N has been having with me. Did Robbie find out I'm in New York? I start fidgeting with my fingers, afraid to move. "Hey, Liz. You okay?" I look back at Y/N and her sweet face. "Yes. I'm sure it's a neighbor or someone. You stay here to finish your breakfast. I'll be right back." I kiss her forehead and leave the bedroom, closing the door behind me. I want Y/N to stay out of sight even though it's unfair, but I'm not ready for her to face whatever is behind this door.
Y/N POV
"I think someone's here for you." I watch as Liz looks out into her apartment. She won't say it, but the air in the room changed. "Hey, Liz. You okay?" I look up at her face giving her a sweet smile to let her know I'm here for her. "Yes. I'm sure it's a neighbor or someone. You stay here to finish your breakfast. I'll be right back." Liz kisses the top of my head and leaves.
For someone I just met yesterday, I feel like I've known her for years. How does she make me feel so special? Our date was perfect last night, or at least from what I remember. She is so beautiful, funny and intelligent. She went to NYU, of all places! Sure, maybe we moved quickly last night, but I needed it, and she wanted it. It can't hurt to pretend to think about a future. I find my mind becomes more full of ideas about Liz and I. Okay, Y/N, before you get too carried away, let's finish this breakfast.
Liz POV
I close the bedroom door behind me, praying it's not Robbie at the front door. Another series of knocks ring out. "Just a second." Okay, Liz, time to be a big girl. I don't bother checking the eye hole; I rush forward and open the door.
"So the rumors are real! You're really back in the city!"
"MK, what are you doing here?" How in the hell did she know I was back? Wait, rumors?
"Like I said. I had to see if the rumors were true. Also, wow, no 'Omg, MK, my favorite sister, how have you been? Sorry I've been so busy ignoring your calls and texts to let you know I'm alive?' Now scooch." MK pushes her way into my apartment, claiming a seat on the granite island, setting her purse and keys down next to her. I close the door, still in disbelief.
"You're right. I'm sorry, I've just had a lot going on. It's really good to see you." It really is. Since filming my show and movie back to back, I've missed my family so much. "So-."
"I see you made your special waffles this morning." I give her an astonished look. MK points to the mess behind her. "Oh right. Yes. I did." MK looks around the apartment, looking for something out of place. "So when did you and Robbie get back, and who's the girl?" MK is never one to shy away from the point. "Ho-Wh-" I stammer. "What girl?"
"Bitch, really? I've seen the pictures." Oh no. "What pictures?" MK tilts her head at me. She's reading my face, and she can tell I have zero idea what she is talking about. "Oh shit. You don't know? I assume your team or someone would've filled you in by now. How have you not seen them?" I'm starting to get worried. "MK. Pictures. Now." MK immediately pulls out her phone and shows me an article:
ELIZABETH OLSEN LEAVES NY RESTAURANT WITH MYSTERIOUS WOMAN DAYS AFTER LEAVING SET OF THE DOCTOR...
I grab the phone from her and scroll down. Yep there they are—the pictures. Y/N and I are holding hands and laughing while getting into a car. Thankfully she's wearing my sunglasses. So it will be more challenging for people to know who my Coffee Girl is. Did I say "my"?
"I texted it to you, but now I know you didn't see it. So once again, Lizzie, who is she? Wait, Liz, did you and Robbie finally get a third? Oh my God, is that who you made breakfast for? You're out here being Miss little housewife while they're in-"
"You need to go." I shove MK's phone and keys into her purse handing it to her as I slide her off the kitchen island. "Whoa, hey Lizzie, I was just kidding. This lifestyle is okay. I promise." Trust me, MK, it's not about that. I continue pushing her out of my apartment, not offering a word. "Hey. Liz, slow down and talk to me." I open the door and escort her out.
"Elizabeth!" MK stops me before I can close the door. "Tell me what's going on right now. Is it the pictures? Do you not want your fans to know about your lifestyle? Oh, no, is the girl's family like super conservative?" I look at MK. My eyes are filling up with worry, guilt, and regret. What do I even say? I'm a cheater. I left my fiance in a different country because I was scared to confront my fears, all while I felt him and I becoming distant, and now here I am myself going on dates and falling for another person. MK's voice softens. "Lizzie, is everything okay?"
"Just promise me that you don't know anything, and you won't say anything." MK nods. "Whatever is going on, you know I'm here for you." Now it's my turn to nod at her as a tear escapes down my cheek. MK pulls me into a hug. "Life can be super shitty and kind. That's how life is. Hell, that's how the world works. But you make due for yourself and the people you love, okay?"
The people I love...
I pull myself away from MK's squeeze. "Pleas-." MK cuts me off. "I promise, Lizzie. Just call me tonight." I promise to do so and close the door. Fuck now, what do I do. Does Robbie know? I haven't even checked my phone. Does my team know? Has Y/N been sent the pictures? Oh, God, is my breathing getting quicker? Why is it so hot? My arms won't stop shaking. Please make this stop. I feel myself fall onto my couch. I can't even see anymore with tears blocking my view. I hear Y/N's muffled voice followed by rushing footsteps. She crashes into me. She wraps herself around my back. I feel myself letting go in her arms. "I'm here, Liz. I'm here." She whispers into my ear.
_
After the tears stopped, I continued to let myself be held by Y/N. I'm not sure how much time had passed, but it felt like hours. Every time Y/N kisses touched my head, I felt a jolt of happiness work through my body before reminding myself what a piece of shit I am. It should be Robbie here, but no, wait, no, it shouldn't; he's the one that said he doesn't want to get married anymore. He's the one that wanted to take time for himself. I curse to myself inside of my head. I'm so confused, and I don't know what to do.
"Babe." Through my dried eyes, I look up to Y/N. "Yes?" Y/N bites her lip. She wants to say something. I pause and smile. "What is it, Coffee Girl?" Y/N holds me closer, placing her chin on my shoulder. "You told me last night that your coffee order was so big when you came into my shop because it was an apology to your crew for something that happened in London. Is that the same reason someone came here this morning and made you upset?"
I pull myself up from Y/N grasps and sit criss-cross facing her. I grab her hands and hold them in mine. "What I told you last night is true, but there is more to that story." I sigh. "I know I'm gonna have to return to London soon and deal with it." I squeeze Y/N's hands. "But no, the person that came over this morning was my sister MK. She didn't upset me. I just have a lot going on, and she was trying to help me understand. "I feel Y/N's hands go weak in mine. "Y/N-"
"Can I say something, Liz?" I stop and watch as Y/N's eyes find mine. "I just want you to know that I'm here for you. These last 24 hours have been a whirlwind, but I don't know what it is. I feel comfortable with you like I've spent years with you. You are giving me feelings of warmth and joy I have not felt in so long. I may be going way over the line, but a part of me thinks that you feel this way too. And now I can't stop myself from talking, but after seeing you bawling your eyes out, I just felt everything. It's just like I fee-" Y/N takes a breath. "I feel you."
I'm a second away from ugly crying Y/N has no clue how much weight those three little words carry. I pull her face into mine and plant a soft kiss on her lips. "Thank you, Y/N truly." I work my way up to hug her. I whisper into the crook of her neck. "I feel you, Y/N." I feel the same way that you do. But I'm sorry-." I have to work through this carefully. "I'm sorry I'm going through something right now."
"Liz-"
"Y/N, I just want today with you. Okay? Let us have a day together." I feel a tear fall onto me. "Okay." Y/N shakily lets out. I am unsure what happens after today, but I want to make today count.
