“Can you stay on the phone? I have to walk home alone and would feel better if I had someone to chat to.”
“Can't you go and bother someone else?” “I could, but you're my favorite person to annoy, so not really.”
“Everything okay? You sound like you need a hug.”
“Do you have a minute?” “Not really, but I'll make time for you.”
“Ha, sucker. I called to emotionally blackmail you into a watching a movie with me and you were dumb enough to pick up.”
“Haven't heard from you in a while, so I thought I'd call. How are you feeling?”
“I can hear you smiling.” “No you can't. Shut up.” “Now I can hear you blushing.” “I will hang up!”
“I heard about what happened. Are you okay?”
“Look, I know you said you'd be busy but I have to tell you what just happened.”
“Shit, my battery's almost dead.”
“Sorry, am I bothering you? I can call back–” “Not at all, you're good. What's up?”
“Wait, don't hang up. I've been missing your voice.”
“Why are you awake?” “I wasn't, but you called at 3am, so you bet your ass I'm picking up the phone. What's up?” “… Wanna get pizza?”
