Okay so imagine whumpee is in need of urgent medical care (broken bone, deep laceration, bleeding from the back of their head, etc.) but they've been on the run from the law for a while now and if they're identified in a hospital, whumpee is fucked.
And both whumper and caretaker are trying to get whumpee to the hospital but for different reasons.
Whumper wants to be able to relish in every second of whumpee's discomfort and pain as they desperately try to avoid jail time (bonus point if whumper is a guard at said jail, being able to torment whumpee through every second of it).
Caretaker doesn't want whumpee to succumb to their injuries and will support whumpee through every step along the way. Caretaker just wants whumpee to be safe, even if they want the same thing as whumper. (Bonus points if whumper torments caretaker into moving on with their life and forgetting about whumpee).
Kevin Day but the season is ending and it's his last year and theres a couple months till he'll go to his new team and he's got identy crisis anxiety over who he is without the court and the foxes, and hes scared of being alone, and maybe hes in a relationship and he'll miss whoever his partner(s) is/are and maybe they're going through it too.
"It's just not the same without them." , They put down their weapon.
"C'mon Character B. We have to keep going.", Character A put their hand on B's shoulder. B remained doubled-over the body.
"I can't do this without them. I can't go one."
They held a scrap of cloth in their hands, drawing their thumb carefully over it. A silent tear freed itself from their right eye.
"They always loved this song."
"I don't understand. What do you mean Character B isn't here?"
"But I did everything right?" They gripped tighter to Character B's lifeless body, "I did everything right. Why aren't you awake?"
They stood before the headstone, lowering the flowers carefully. No one ever knew Character A even felt such things as grief or love, yet here they were at their lover's grave.
"I don't recognize this feeling." The robotic voice managed to sound sad.
A lovely morning again to my wonderful supporters here!
This is just a quick announcement to say I’m introducing a new concept to this page!
I haven’t given it a name, but basically what I’m going to be doing is writing a quick prompt to post (much shorter than others I’ve done to save time), so I can always try to have something ready to share with you!
The only few days I may not be able to do this would be: Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday as I’m unfortunately out at Uni on each of them!
These also may not be as fancy as the regular instalments I do (in terms of pictures, mostly, as I’m planning on using the same pictures I used for each character’s designated Masterlist on each of them!)
I hope you enjoy + are looking forward to what I have in store for you, in regards to this + of course it means I’m still working on the next main instalment at the same time!
At the moment I can’t give much of a scope of when it might be dropping as it admittedly isn’t that close to being finished, but I certainly look forward to sharing it with you at some point!
I hope you all have a lovely rest of the day, and I look forward to seeing you again, soon!
MDNI!!! • I thought it would be mighty fitting to utilise Chappell Roan’s Good Luck, Babe! for this idea! This is centrally because the reader and Cynthia (another OC of mine depicted by Reneé Rapp) would struggle to deny that they have something between them, only to be made a fact harder to hide by it being illegal to for same-sex relationships to be carried out, especially in the wealthier part of the town they have to live in together. However, when the stress gets too much for them, will they end up falling apart from each other forever, or will they fight against the pressure, knowing that whatever is growing between them is too strong to ignore, no matter how hard they might try to do so here and there? Good luck out there, dear reader; this path may be a bumpy one! 😈
With the pictures I decided to go for in regard to this idea, I took into consideration not only the idea of at least some pathetic fallacy (the picture on the far left), whilst also considering spaces and notions that can connote freedom, as well as including - as usual - a depiction of the central character herself (typically in the middle). Where freedom comes in, I wanted to present a space of healing; things or places where you aren’t expected to be suppressed by a repressive society in which Cynthia and the reader find themselves trapped within. I am intending to actually use spaces/notions like these as well, but I don’t want to spoil too much for you guys just yet! (Expect a guitar and dark clearing at some point, as well as a typical depiction of pathetic fallacy! Probably 😭) - good luck, dear reader; I hope the path delivers you the utmost of happinesses, rather than the most crushing of anguishes - until we find out, happy exploration! 💜
It’s okay! You can admit it, if this is what you’re thinking, at this point! I’ve had such moments when I think like that, myself, when reading things such as what I’ve left above for you! Either that, or you’ve skipped down here - that’s also understandable if you’ve decided to do that, too! (I totally won’t break through your screen and force you to read it, or anything - * insert my mildly evil laugh here *) - anyway, onto what you’ve come here for! I hope you’ve made your choice of pathway wisely, if you want to keep your eyes dry, and limbs (as well as dignity) intact, as you progress here…

This introductory prompt gives - I dare say - a quite direct depiction of the love affair we already see between our two protagonists, the reader and her ‘partner’(?), Cynthia! It also soon introduces the issues our pairing have to face, and the matter soon becomes clear that - no matter how the two are undeniably drawn to one another - there are many institutions they have to fight, including personal ones. The question, dear reader, is will they break through each boundary, or will they have to flounder apart, in the end? I suppose we shall see - be careful out there; it’s a rough journey for our protagonists enough, so who’s to say it will not prove to be the same, for you? Happy exploration, friend, and I hope to see you on the other side again - eventually, anyway!
The Haiku - #2

As linked to my last listed instalment - Just a Minor Misdemeanour/Fools Rule - we are introduced to the perspective of our protagonist, the reader, and the pain she personally encounters when Cynthia and herself encounter their first personal barrier, and there is hope in the way she speculates, saying generally she never wants to feel the pain again, but at the same time it can never truly be known if this means she doesn’t know what she wants to do about it; if she can even change it, but I hope you have faith, dear reader; there is light in the darkest of times - at least, my friend, one can hope there will be, here…
Hurting Me/I’ve Always Loved You - #3; Just a Short
Trigger Warnings + Word Count + Other relevant notices listed within!
Following on from what happened in the last main instalment - Just a Minor Misdemeanour/Fools Rule - Cynthia is effectively panic-stricken after Reader collapses before her with Jamie’s unconscious body still needing to be hidden somewhere. Given the situation at hand, she knows she doesn’t have much time to try and tend to the both of them, so she tries to first deal with Jamie, but will they both be caught, or will things go smoothly the rest of the way for them from this point onwards?
Love/It’s Not Easy - #4; Just a Short
Trigger Warnings + Word Count + Other relevant notices listed within!
Cynthia and Reader have finally got back together. At least, they hope they have; you can never be too sure with these two, honestly. Though there is a temporary lapse in their bliss when Reader is seen leaving her family home through their garden, and Cynthia’s bedroom window, Cynthia reassures Reader that she won’t let anything break apart their relationship just like that. Reader tells herself she’s happy, but ultimately she pictures her fears of losing Cynthia as a nightmarish reality.
Lost Cause/Hard Fight - #5; Just a Short
Trigger Warnings + Word Count + Other relevant notices listed within!
When Cynthia finds Reader looking somewhat alarmed back in the alleyway she’s living in, she’s ever worried about somehow losing the figure again; she knows her too well to think that the girl’s mind was settled; she was happy with the situation they were in, when really she’s just as scared as young lovers come.
The Kiss/The Need to Go - #6; Just a Short
Trigger Warnings + Word Count + Other relevant notices listed within!
Following on from the outcome of the last prompt, Cynthia and Reader find themselves in a sticky situation after their too-public kiss, in a society within which the majority would probably rather see them punished, than allowed to live freely. The question is, though - can they escape it, or will they be forced to crumble beneath it instead?
Trust/State Desire - #7; Just a Short
Trigger Warnings + Word Count + Other relevant notices listed within!
They weren’t supposed to get this far. Not together. Not like this. But under the cover of darkness, with nothing but each other to hold onto, they run - toward a future that might not exist, away from a place that refuses to let them be who they are. Cynthia says they’ll be okay. Y/n wants to believe her. Maybe there’s still a place in the world for two people like them. Maybe hope is a risk worth taking. Even if the footsteps behind them never stop somehow.
Beautiful/Dutiful Entrapment - #8; Just a Short
Trigger Warnings + Word Count + Other relevant notices listed within!
On the run and out of options, Y/n and Cynthia find fleeting refuge behind a half-open window - an abandoned room, a working TV, and the echo of something that almost feels like safety. As the weight of the world presses in from just outside, they cling to stolen moments, quiet touch, and whispered promises neither of them are sure they can keep. In a world that’s never been kind to people like them, love might not be enough - but for now, it’s all they have. And maybe, just maybe - it’s enough for tonight. At least they hope it is.
Light in Darkness/Wholeness is Key - #9; Just a Short
Trigger Warnings + Word Count + Other relevant notices listed within!
In the quiet shadow of hiding, where silence is survival and love is rebellion, Y/n and Cynthia steal a moment of warmth in a world that has never made room for them. Beneath the threat of discovery and the weight of their pasts, they find solace in each other’s arms - touches soft with longing, kisses that ache with unspoken promises. But even as their hearts beat in sync, the world outside the window keeps turning, and danger never sleeps for long. When dawn comes, will there still be a place for them to exist freely? Or is this fragile peace only another borrowed breath before the storm returns? I guess we’ll find out soon, regardless of whether or not we do or don’t want to…
Fond Recollection/Fear Conquers Everything - #10; Just a Short
Trigger Warnings + Word Count + Other relevant notices listed within!
In a world where loyalty can be dangerous and trust even more so, Y/n never expected to find anything soft - let alone love - in the ruins. But from the moment Cynthia’s eyes met her own, something shifted. What began with a blade and a misunderstanding has grown into something neither of them knows how to hold - fragile, fierce, and real. Now, in a rare quiet moment, Y/n revisits the memory of how it all began: a fight, a flash of connection, and a parting that should have been the end. But fate - and maybe something deeper - had other plans. As danger draws closer and the door handle begins to turn, the question lingers: Will love be enough to protect them from what comes next? Or will the past repeat itself in the worst way imaginable, separating them forever somehow without any hope of being able to really see each other again perhaps? I guess we’ll just have to wait and see, won’t we, what they’ll do when faced with confrontation again; will they crack under pressure, or will they fight for each other again? They have each other’s safety in mind, still, after everything - for now, anyway.
Too Close/Guilt Sits Heavy - #11; Just a Short
Trigger Warnings + Word Count + Other relevant notices listed within!
Hiding in the shadows of a city that no longer feels like home, Y/n and Cynthia cling to each other with nothing left but whispers, footfalls, and the fragile warmth of their hands intertwined. A near discovery leaves their hearts pounding and their bond tested, yet again. With danger always one breath away, their love becomes both sanctuary and weight - something beautiful in a world trying to burn it away. But as sleep settles over Cynthia and guilt coils deeper into Y/n’s chest, the night brings a different kind of fear: not of being caught, but of not being enough. In a place where silence is safety and dawn brings no guarantees, how long can two hearts run before one finally breaks? And whose might break first given the unfortunate circumstances?
Gone/Can’t Change it Now - #12; Just a Short
Trigger Warnings + Word Count + Other relevant notices listed within!
Y/n thought giving up would be enough to protect her. She thought handing herself in meant she’d be safe. But as footsteps echo down the alley and the past comes calling in a uniform, she realises safety isn’t something she can buy with surrender - not when love is the price. Cynthia made her choice. She just never expected it would be her. In a world that punishes the unchosen and silences the unheard, one final act of defiance might be all that’s left. But when the sky starts to split and the truth comes to light, the real question is - will love be enough to carry them both forward - or will it be the thing that breaks her, most of all somehow?
The Meaning of Safety/Love Still True - #13; Just a Short
Trigger Warnings + Word Count + Other relevant notices listed within!
After everything - betrayal, bloodshed, and the brutal weight of guilt - Y/n didn’t think she’d still be here. But Cynthia is. And even now, with her head still aching and her future uncertain, she offers Y/n a choice: honesty or silence, love or loss. In a world where safety is fleeting and hope often hurts more than it heals, the two of you find yourselves in the space between survival and surrender. But love doesn’t fix everything. And staying doesn’t promise safety. Still, maybe - just maybe - choosing each other again means something. Even if it’s only for one more night. Even if it’s the last. Even if it breaks them.
The Locals/Layers of Devotion - #14; Just a Short
Trigger Warnings + Word Count + Other relevant notices listed within!
In a town where survival is currency and trust is rarer than shelter, Y/n and Cynthia are barely clinging to either. After an ambush leaves Cynthia bleeding and the world spinning, Y/n is forced to confront just how much pain she’s willing to endure to keep her breathing - and how far they’ll go to make up for a past they can’t outrun. Surrounded by wary eyes and whispered threats, the line between being saved and being hunted blurs with every step forward. But even after the bullet’s out and the bleeding slows, the questions remain: is love enough to survive this place? Can two broken people find refuge in each other when the world keeps trying to take them apart? They’ve escaped death - for now. But morning always comes. And so does the next test. Now all that matters is what could it be next?
Reckless Serenade/A Miserable Outline - #15; Just a Short
Trigger Warnings + Word Count + Other relevant notices listed within!
On the run from a world that refuses to understand them, Y/n and Cynthia find themselves teetering on the edge of survival, trust, and heartbreak. One bullet nearly shatters everything they’ve clung to, and with every step forward, the ghosts of guilt and fear threaten to pull them apart. But love - aching, imperfect, and unrelenting - has a way of refusing silence. As wounds heal and danger lurks closer, they must decide if hope is still worth chasing - or if the dream of a future together is already slipping through their hands. Somewhere out there, maybe there’s still a place for them. If they can just keep running long enough to find it. Without being caught, of course, only making such a journey ten times harder for our hopeful pair.
I hope you enjoyed your travels, here - soon, I intend to update this road further! I look forward to hopefully seeing you again, soon, in that case! Happy travels, courtesy of your ever faithful, H.H. - as always 💜
