The Mission was done and the team was now heading back to base, with everyone doing some stuff while they wait to be back home.
Tracer and McCree were sitting next to each other, chatting about life while Reinhardt was reading a book nearby them, Genji walk by them heading to his room on the ship, sitting down and turning on his comms and waiting for a bit before the screen turn on and the face of a bed ridded Mercy come up her eyes looking a bit sleepily but not too much so she was waiting for him to call her.
Mercy:” Oh genji! it’s good to see you! are you okay? did the mission go ok? is everyone alright?”
Genji:” I’m alright Angela, everyone is okay too, how are you doing? have you been taking your meds? are you getting your rest?”
Mercy sat up a bit, smiling at him as she took a sip from her glass of water.
Mercy:“ Yes dear, I have taking my meds thank you for asking and I have been resting...thought I might have been working a bit late as of last night.”
Genji looks at her with a bit of a hard look in his eyes.
Genji:” My love, you are having a cold and we both talk about this, you need your rest and I ask you to take a break from your work for a bit so you can get over it”
Mercy:” I know we talk about it but genji, I need to check some stuff out and I couldn’t let it...AH Choo!”
Mercy start to sneeze with her grabbing a tissue and blowing her nose into it while genji sat quietly waiting for her to take care of herself before contending the talk with her.
Genji:“ ‘sigh’ Angela, I just want you to care of yourself okay? I’m not always going to able to be home with you, not with everything going with the rouge omnic forces in Siberia starting to push into China now“
Mercy:” I know I just wish I wasn’t having this flu so I can be with you and the others, I feel useless right now and I just.......I don’t want anything happening to you”
Genji lean forward to the screen, being his hand up to it and put it against it, with Angela doing the same thing, the two look at each other with a longing to be home together and not miles away from each other.
Genji:” I know and I promise you, my love, I’ll be sure to stay safe, and we should be back in a few...”
Solder 76 voice comes over the ships inner comms “Team Heads up! we are being reorder to head to the Nile river region, word is that Talon has been see in the area working to provoke the region to head into open warfare, We will regroup with Ana and her team here”
Genji look at the floor, growling a bit and getting angry about what he heard, with Angela looking a bit upset, knowing that it means genji wouldn’t been home tonight.
Mercy:” ‘sad sigh’ Well, duty calls again, pls stay safe genji, get thought the mission and help the others okay?”
Genji look back at the screen, seeing her sky blue eyes looking at his earth brown eyes he smiles at her as he start to get ready for this next mission.
Genji:“ I will Angela, you have my word”
Genji:” I love you with all of my heart and soul, and I will stay safe and come home to you”
Mercy:” I love you with all my heart and soul too, I’ll look forward to you returning home safe and sound”
Mercy then put two of her fingers to her lips and put them onto the screen, with genji doing it as well.
Genji:” Love you”
Mercy:” Love you too”
Genji shuts the comms off, with face of his angel going with it, he turn around and heading to the doorway, hoping and praying that this mission would quick so he can get home to be with angela.
