So many projects im following have people harrassing devs for "not being fast enough" "oh it cant host evrybody yet" "oh nooo it doesnt have as many capabilities yet" Okay, you try. YOU. FUCKING TRY. You make an app that can host everything you wish. On top of that, with hundreds to maybe even thousands of people constantly bomBARDING you with "Why isnt there [x] progress yet?"
App development is so hard. As someone who dabbled with the odea of making apps or games or whatnot, coding is hard?? it takes SO much time.
stop bombarding developers. ESPECIALLY CONSIDERING SO MANY APPS OR SITES SO FAR ARE IN BETA.

also. Just because you might not like a developer or what theyve done in the past, that STILL DOESNT MAKE HARRASSING OTHERS OKAY. even if the dev made a huge mistake or had character growth is literally anything, you dont get to harrass someone else. Theyre still a person like you. Theyre still alive and on this planet we share like you.

AS SP is shutting down, and people are moving to different apps, personally, I've switched to Ourcana. Now, you can import SP templates into Ourcana, but I wanted to post here an Ourcana specific template I made that is free to use!

the fact that florality just now launched their beta and have subscriptions for up to $128 a year is really telling of the kind of people they are. yeah its not required but thats still such a fucking sellout. and you might not think its a big deal but at the end of the day they ARE paywalling access to features, or at least access to more of the same ones.
meanwhile ourcana hasnt asked for anything and is especially not trying to force subscriptions.. in fact the dev is literally going to try and waive any fees for systems who cant afford any online fees. fuck you money hungry assholes for using our disability for profit. you make me sick.
With the recent shutting down announcements of multiple system apps, I decided to finally finish up a template I'd been cooking for a bit.
The formatting is reminiscent of SimplyPlural, with some additional features to allow for customization. Find it HERE! .. but read on for more information!
The template includes:
- Alphabetical Member Organization
- Alter Profiles with personal journals, personal notes, a wishlist, and a "more info" page with faceclaims and other information. - Front History logger and Collective Journal
- A page for note-taking
- A page for important contact information of people you know / emergency contacts.
- A page dedicated for links you find helpful.
Here are some important things to note:
- You have to manually input all alter information, which may be daunting, but you can do one at a time and fill out their full information at a later date.
- Notion has AI features... but they are OPTIONAL and you can IGNORE THEM!
If you end up loving or appreciating this template, please consider throwing a dollar or two our way. We are a chronically ill and disabled DID system who is dealing with job insecurity at the moment!
Notion can be a learning curve for some, but once you get the hang of it, it's a POWERFUL tool! It allows for offline access.
To make a copy of the template, go to the page and press "duplicate" icon in the top right corner of the page.
Since people will ask anyway, like they have with any new system app that's been popping up... my stance on endos does not fucking matter. I don't care who uses my stuff. At the end of the day, if it helps you, good. Don't worry about if other people care about you or not.
Consider me "neutral" in the way I don't care and I keep my opinions to myself and if I don't like people, I block and forget they exist. However... this isn't my personal social media. Something something business transaction.

So, for one, I'd seen this personally on the dev's blog when looking for evidence on other claims, which was eugh ->
I don't know if I need to explain why that's bad and/or just overall ignorant, LOL. Also, it's strange to me that they out of nowhere came back to Tumblr a week ago, despite being seemingly inactive for 8 YEARS. Is it just me or. Idk. (Additionally: Ourcana's developer has since had to make a new blog named myonmyonmyonmyonmyon)
The developer is also "entheogenic" , which from what I've seen isn't on pluralpedia, so it's not a well-known endogenic origin. If I am to guess, it's some form of purposeful spiritual systemhood, guessing by the suffixes. ("en-" means "in or part of", "theo-" means "god/deity", so maybe it means "part of god" systemhood?? idk. your guess is as good as mine) [The developer has since "clarified" that it was where tulpagenic systems originated??? wtv]
(i couldn't understand 90% of this. if anyone else does understand PLEASE tell me what it means because I can't wrap my head around it. Regardless though the whole "I'm entheogenic, and so can you!" feels so. Eugh.)
Now for the big "oh god" of the developer: the Nazi jokes.
Now, here you can see Heni (Linux) being caught on TWO seperate occasions making jokes about labor camps, nazism, concentration camps, and comparing online discourse to nazism. After beings didn't respond well to the jokes (which, who would??), they went out to essentially just state "This isn't the environment for me to say these things, can we get back to developing now?" — entirely disregarding the sensitive nature of the jokes. They then on THIS post proceeded to state that it was okay since they were raised Jewish, but I digress.

The apology is also pretty disingenuine imo. Regardless of if it even WAS a space where you can say that, WHY would you, especially when you are an adult (IN THEIR 30s IIRC.) and ACKNOWLEDGE how heavy the topic even is? You shouldn't EVER joke about something like that, full stop. Don't shove it off to the side?? when you're excusing something that drastic??? As well as just seeing their community accept the apology right off the bat when it is SO obviously half-assed just irks me.
Additionally, the main dev has been banned from PluralKit's server for something involving AI (I'm still looking into this myself), but they do discuss that they did NOT use A.I in coding itself, but for other things. Respectfully, at least to me, their whole apology reads very A.I-neutral/positive to me. -> Later on they have been seeing sucking up to Sophie-In-Wonderland, a notoriously gross endogenic system whom has public C.AI bots advertized on their page for forming tulpas. A generative A.I bot cannot tell you how to undergo a heavily spiritual practice.
Heni also openly goes out of their way on their main blog to harass anti-endos, and argues that "DNIs are manipulative because they tell you what to think and what not to do to someone". What?
Said link they use as "evidence" is a narcissism abuse link that does not regard narcissism as a cluster B disorder like it... isn't one?? It's a disorder not some criminal activity.

There is nothing more eye opening than seeing the entitlement of the average online system upon simplyplural and octocon shutting down. I understand the frustration and anger but Jesus fucking Christ it is not your right to have an app with all of the features you want right off the bat for free.
Apps take time. Apps take money! Apps take energy. It can be done by one person but realistically it needs a team of people. A team that a developer needs to trust with VERY SENSITIVE USER INFORMATION.
I fully understand that it is a tool for a disability but at the end of the day there are SO many alternatives than an app. Alternatives people do not want to use because they feel Entitled to someone’s time, energy, money, etc. actually ridiculous. Especially when many if not all of the devs for these apps are systems themselves. If you would not expect yourself to handle the immense amount of pressure and stress, why put that pressure and stress on other people WHO ARE ALSO DISABLED.
Half of you need to stop complaining and open your fucking notes app or a journal I swear to God.
