Aventurine, the boy who had to grow up with teeth bared and the willingness to use them, now a man greedy, starved.
Dr. Ratio, the man who is nothing but a ripe apple of knowledge, shiny and red, wishful for anyone to consider him worthy of a bite.

I'll say it once and I'll say it again:
If you keep pretending you're not in a spoon deficit you're going end up with a lot of soup in your lap.
How I Write Descriptions
Descriptions have been such an elusive and tricky thing to nail down, at least for me it was. I was always torn between if I should be including each and every detail or giving a few and letting the reader fill in the gaps, only to realize that my writing looked more like a long winded checklist with the former and the dreaded "white room" with the latter. Worst of all, my descriptions were never interesting.
While it was difficult to pin down exactly how to do that, I managed to figure out a way to flesh out a scene that made sense to me. And, it involves imagining the scene in spheres. Specifically:
Sphere 1: The main character and their inner world.
I love ratiorine in the way I love jagged rocks beneath my feet. They are raw and real and difficult to swallow and even harder to stomach. They fit together like sea glass, smooth after being tossed around by currents unkind.
Il Capitano with a Venom tongue.
IL CAPITANO WITH A VENOM TONGUE.
Thank you, that is all.
make them kiss? make them kiss???
You think if I were to smash these two guys together, that they'd just kiss right now???? These two need to be put through the pulse setting in an emotional blender before lips are anywhere near smashing together.
Just think of what I'm doing as necessary therapy, okay???
People pointing out my spelling mistakes will always be funny to me. I write fanfiction, I never claimed I was literate
"Quality over quantity" i whisper to myself, closing out one of many word docs after only managing a sentence. a single tear slides down my face
