Maybe running around wild and alone on Christmas night while reports of a killer were out wasn’t the best idea. But Veasna wasn’t exactly known for her great ideas. She was known for her bravery and for being fool hearty. She’d gotten a new bike too so of course she HAD to give it a test run. Even if that test run went all day and left her out of the house until dark. She was on her way home when she noticed someone fumbling around in the dark.
Once again perhaps approaching strangers in dark misty alley’s wasn’t a very good idea. But still Veasna didn’t care. This person looked like they needed help and she planned to help them.
She stopped her bike in front of the alley, getting off of it and leaned it against the wall. She approached slowly, ignoring the strange shadows and the encroaching mist. She stopped a moment when the stranger spoke and tilted her head. They seemed panicked and she guessed most likely lost. They certainly weren’t from around here or at least she didn’t recognize them.
She spoke up approaching again and reaching her hand out to touch the stranger. Trying to get their attention to see if they were okay.
