Does it ever stop...the wanting you?
A lady in red—she has been known to shake the atmosphere a time or two.
February 18—What Book/Season 2 moment were you looking forward to the most?
Come and Find Me: 2x4 “La Dame Blanche”
Since I had not read Dragonfly in Amber upon watching season 2, there was nothing I was quite looking forward to per say.
However, as the season started, I was very much beginning to feel the rift between Jamie and Claire. There was a chasm building and it was devastating to watch.
I began to anticipate the rekindling sex between Jamie and Claire—knowing that this would be a huge bridge to healing and reconciliation. The lack of physical intimacy played a huge role in the amplifying distance between them.
To watch Claire literally go to her husband with such raw pursuit was breathtaking to me.
Truthfully, this is one of my favorite moments of Claire. She so vulnerably and boldly goes after her husband knowing that them making love is the path to restoration. And in response, Jamie melts under her warmth, embrace, protection, and love.
It is just a stunning scene.
“Come and find me, Jamie.
Come and find me.
Find us.”
25 Days of JAMMF, Day 12: Favorite Season 2 Sex Scene
2x4 “La Dame Blanche”
THIS ONE. THIS ONE. I PICK THIS ONE!!!!!!!! 😭
This sex is beyond beautiful. It is RESTORATIVE.
After months of feeling completely lost in the horror of grief and trauma from Wentworth, Jamie and Claire finally find a way back to their beloved.
Notice: This scene is shrouded in blue. Just like Claire’s aura as Master Raymond pointed out.
Blue: the color of healing.
Claire built Jamie a lean-to with her love to keep out the sorrow and heal his pain.
leaning in for a kiss...
February 26—What Book/Season 3 Jamie/Claire moment is your favorite?
Shipwrecked on the beach: 3x13 “Eye of the Storm”
There is something about this moment that is so purely James and Claire.
After enduring a storm of epic proportion, Jamie wakes up on the beach. His first thought is:
Claire.
Is my wife alive?
Has she been lost forever?
Despite all my efforts, has she been claimed by the sea?
But still I love you.
So I shall part from you with a kiss...
And with a kiss, she awakens.
She’s alive.
She’s alive.
She’s alive.
“Thank Christ.”
“I thought you were dead.”
“I told you I’d never leave you again.”
She’s alive.
She’s alive.
We are both alive.
And all I wish for is to hold you in my arms.
February 21—What is your all time favorite thing about Book/Season 2?
I love how Jamie and Claire faced unfathomable pain and yet they are resilient through the flames.
Season 2 is rife with suffering and loss. It is truly not a season for the faint of heart. Jamie and Claire undergo acute trials.
This is the story of a man and woman who face real adversity; there is no fluff to this fairytale.
Not only are they dealing with Jamie’s trauma from Wentworth, but also living in a foreign land which offers endless complexities. It seems as if the chasm between them is growing to the extent that they will never close the gap again.
Just when they begin to see the light of day, a lightning bolt of unforeseen agony strikes—they lose their firstborn daughter.
Clinging to each other Jamie and Claire return home to beloved Scotland. The death of their child only forges their bond closer than ever before.
But then the largest blow of all hits—they must separate in order to save Claire’s life and the life of their unborn second child. They must continue on without their anchor.
Yet despite it all: the tears, the heartache, the despair, the agony—Jamie and Claire’s love only becomes all the more beautiful.
It does not break them; it makes them stronger.
Even in the fire, I will love you still.
