Woah, wait, you have the outlander script pdfs?! I looked everywhere! Where did you find them? Your "unscripted moments" page said something about released by starz, are they still available to download?

Yes, the scripts were released by Starz, and I love that they did that! They also had annotations from the writers of each ep, so we get some explanation about where their head was act when writing particular scenes. 

I do have the full scripts for Season 3 and Season 4 downloaded. And the images are actually still available on Outlander Community HERE if you want to get them yourself. It looks like they’re keeping both those seasons up for now, but they’re also likely to change the site altogether once the season starts. This message pops up on the main page, so I’m not sure if they’re going to be updating it with Season 5 content or not. I’ll tweet Starz PR to find out.

As for Season 2… I have two full episode scripts saved lol. “Through A Glass, Darkly” and “Je Suis Prest”. I also have bits and pieces of “Faith” saved. They were all available during the season, but by the time I went to go save them they were already gone and I kick myself all the time for getting them faster! xD

Outlandish Creations

July 1-7: “So you’re a charmer, then? A creator?”

How exactly did you start creating, have you ever done this sort of thing before or was it Outlander that brought the best out of you? Share it all!

I started being a fangirl before I knew what fangirling is. I was 10 when I started having "fandoms" but it was only when I turned 14 when I really really started seriously exploring fandom and its creative outlets.

As well as many of you, I first discovered fanfics through ff.net. (I still have my dusty old account there - many "older" shows still have long running fics there that I check out from time to time) I never thought of myself "artistic" enough to be deemed a "creative" (art class is my lowest subject in school) but I knew I could write a few paragraphs and I got quite a few ideas and tend to over analyze situations - so after reading a few fanfics, I decided to have a go at it.

I only wrote a couple of one-shots for the Chuck, Castle and Psych Fandom (its in the ff account and super badly written, haha!) But it is only here in the Outlander fandom that I attempted to write a multi-chapter fic! I am thoroughly inspired by the creativity in this fandom that led me to do so. So far, I've done a couple of one-shots and have 3 (OMG!) WIP (Forever, To Begin Again and Arranged) multi-chapter fics story.

So thank you to all of you who continue to make fanfic and fanart - they are all amazing and beautiful, I read them all, I see them all. I aspire to be as good and creative as all of you in this fandom.❤

I just want to acknowledge this before moving forward to the other episodes. 

I absolutely love this snippet. The fact that they shot this before 306 even happened just elevates this episode to another level and just deepens my love more for Sam and Cait as actors.

Case in point: My favorite scenes 

1. Claire’s/Cait’s shocked face when Marsali and Joan called Jamie “daddy. Seriously, that was topnotch action from Cait. She totally nailed that scene!! 2. THE FIGHT - Should I say more?! It had everything. The tenderness at the beginning then the slow build-up to that all-out screaming match. 3. “I’ve only known one love in my life and that was with you” - I swoon at this, totally swoon. 

I know that it must’ve been quite hard to pull this out of the bag considering that they haven’t shot the “reunion” scene because in some way, the emotions from that would suppose to help in acting this “fight” scene but the fact that they didn’t just makes this scene and episode all the more extraordinary. 

Moreover, the fact that they already shot this “together” episode first, yet the “reunion” episode felt totally on its own, just makes that episode all the more amazing.

HeyOutlander people! Is there anywhere I can read the scripts from season 1 of Outlander? I’ve looked on Outlander Community but there only seems to be annotated scripts from season 2, or am I just being blind? or does such a thing not exist?

Rewards of an author

So, when I came home from Scotland I found a message in my inbox on another platform. That message kindly warned me that one of my fanfics, namely the Constellations Series, was being published in another language (russian) by a person, posing as the original author. I went through all the states of rage and sadness. Today I decided to remove all my works from said site (to be honest, it was the place where I usually would get the most crap and mean reviews too). There must be a compliment in there, somewhere, that the person thought the work was good enough to deserve plagiarism, but I’m just not seeing it that way right now.

I’m sharing this today as a cautionary tale for all my fanfiction sisters and all the readers out there. Please, if you ever see a situation like this report immediately. Let’s take care of each other - we are kind of great at that. And maybe save someone from having this giant heartbreak.

The place where the Duke of Sandringham meets his unfortunate end.....

Belmont House The Duke of Sandringham's Estate was filmed on location at Drumlanrig Castle in Dumfires and Galloway, Scotland. Shooting on location in historical buildings creates many challenges for the crew. There are often restrictions placed on things like open flames, moving existing furnishings, or even the ability to secure items into the ground. Most locations, while historically accurate, have been updated over the years with modern day conveniences that must be removed, replaced, or covered up.

"Cover ups," as they're called by the Art Department, are created to conceal all kinds of things that can't be replaced or removed—everything from light switches and electrical outlets, to furnaces and air vents. The cover ups can consist of wall panels or boxes made to perfectly match the surrounding interior, so the audience (and sometimes even a majority of the crew) will never know they’re there. Lightbulbs and modern light fixtures must be hidden or removed and replaced with special candles that have drip guards to catch the wax. When flames are not allowed, special lighting is used to create the look of candle light, and the flames are added in during post-production. Dirt and grass are added to cover paved roads, and shrubs and trees are used to hide larger structures like ticket booths. Modern day safety items such as handrails, fire alarms, and exit signs are also removed or camouflaged. If needed (and allowed), walls may be painted and aged to look older. New walls can also be seamlessly added to change a room's size or add a door and window.

In the scene where the Duke loses his head, a false floor was built on top of the original floor to protect it from the fake blood. Then when filming is complete, everything must be put back and restored to its original state as if the production was never there.
