Ta Prohm, one of the ancient Angkor temples.
It was built in 1186, housed tens upon tens of thousands of souls, until the Khmer empire fell and it lay neglected for 5 centuries allowing nature to slowly overtake the magnificent temple.
The Angkor temples were like stepping into another world, the constant reminder of the passage of time and of the rise and fall of power makes me feel a bit better about the current state of politics in the world today.
