Just read the new Kanezaka lore and here are some thoughts and theories:

• Asa is Hanzo and Genji’s sword master! Possibly an older woman too! How cool is that!?

• Also her daughter? Maybe another key figure in overwatch 2? Maybe she was like a little sister figure to Hanzo and Genji?

• Remember that Joel Morricone article about McCree doing vigilante work in the ramen shop? Is she hunting McCree?

• If McCree is in fact the vigilante, could he have been fighting the rival clan not only because it’s the right thing to do but because he knew Hanzo and Genji?

• It seemed like there were vigilantes *plural* - could Hanzo and Genji be in on it?

• The letter didn’t seem to have any negative feelings toward the Shimada clan, since we don’t know much about Hanzo and Genji’s mother, could Asa have been a motherly figure to them?

• The letter mentioned her training the Shimada scions, plural, so it must take place before Sojiro dies and Hanzo tries to kill Genji. This could jeopardise McCree’s involvement?

• Does Asa know of what Hanzo did? Will she reunite with him and Genji? Could she convince Hanzo to pick up the blade again? Is she disappointed? How does she feel about Hanzo abandoning the blade? How will she react?

Sorry for the thought dump, I’m just super excited
