QUARANTINE

summary : the bs that happened during quarantine

my mom's new clinic had finished construction, so we decided to spend a week there on the second floor, where there were living quarters incase my mom had to stay overnight. The day we arrived, quarantine due to Covid-19 started. We only had enough clothes for a week, so my dad had to drive back to our apartment and get more clothes. There were two bedrooms, and a room with my mom's psychiatry books and our old children's books. That room had a TV with YouTube. My siblings and I were fascinated, because we had only watched cable on our TV at home, and it was surprising to see different content that isn't Cartoon Network or Nickelodeon, so basically, we were raised like 2000's kids. Fast forward to my brother getting addicted to TV, me and my sister read books more. A few months later, my sister noticed something that looked like a paper bag hanging from kite string outside at a construction site nextdoor. It was an owl. A barn owl, to be specific. My father and I went down to the construction site and asked about it, and it had apparently got caught in kite string. We asked the construction workers to use a large stick they had to cut the string and lower the owl down into the box that we brought. The owl's wing was badly injured so we kept it with us at the clients' waiting area. Later that evening, my father and i went to feed the owl, and my father gave it CHICKEN for some reason??? i was surprised that a bird would eat another bird but i didn't say anything, and helped feed the owl. The next day, we took it to a wildlife conservatory and dropped it off so it could get proper medical attention. A few weeks later, we got a call saying that the owl got released back into the wild, and that same day there was a bunch of owl vomit on our terrace. Maybe it was a thank you?
