Aditya Ashok the drummer of Skyharbor’s Electronic Music side project!
“Hailing from the shores of Bombay city, OX7GEN is drummer Aditya Ashok's alter ego. Ashok's love for Drum & Bass is no secret, but he brings a myriad of influences to OX7GEN's sound. Being a producer-DJ and a live drummer adds layers of versatility, levelling to a one of a kind dance floor experience”

Aditya Ashok who is best known as the drummer for Shaa’ir + Funk, started his own live project called, OX7GEN a few years ago, and will now be seen heading the electronic stage at the Bacardi NH7 Weekender this year. His first EP called, Dimensions was released recently. Platform spoke to Aditya about the electronic music scene in India and his solo project.
Having played for major bands like Shaa’ir + Func and The Colour Compound, you eventually started your own live project OX7GEN. How did this happen? I've been making music as OX7GEN for about three years now. It's been a very DIY, trial and error kind of learning process for me, so it's been slow, but in-depth. Being a stage musician first and foremost, I've always wanted to have a live project where I have creative control over the music and aesthetic of the project. After doing a smaller version of OX7GEN Live last year as a part of KRUNK All Stars, and receiving a good amount of positive reviews, I figured it was high time I gave OX7GEN Live a shot.
