In the grass of field boundaries and in local meadows the Leucanthemum vulgare (oxeye daisy, marguerite, moon daisy) is flowering and is popular with a variety of pollinators. This rhizomatous perennial has composite flowers of white rays (petals) surrounding a disc of yellow florets.
