I have a far-out-there question. Would Minato get to live, because of the pt resetting the metaverse? :O
;)
Happy New Years to you too! ^-^
Thank you 😊
I am so excited!
And I just can’t hide it!
Oh dear now your moblie background gif looks like Izuku is very sad and distressly welcoming me to Chili's lol
He’ll distressly break his arms, too
In the Enthics of Sportsmenship I feel like Izuku is the physical embodiment of "Become a Hero or a least die trying"
hskjdfkhs That’s basically true. No one believes in Izuku so as far as he’s concerned anyone who tells him he can’t is a quitter. If he wants it bad enough and works hard enough he’s sure that he’ll be able to be a hero.
Or, you know, die.
If you don't mind, but now I am curious about What Casual wear Retainer Akira would wear?
ASK AND YOU SHALL RECEIVE?
He usually wears his usual uniform (The Kurusu Retainer Uniform) everywhere. But when he’s running errands outside the palace (away from Minato) he wears this poncho and a vest underneath. Mostly because everyone recognizes the poncho, so it’s easier to question people. Normal soldiers wear this attire too (same shirt, same vest) the only thing differentiating Akira from them is the fact his rank is visible both on the Poncho (as well as how many years he’s served the Arisato family) and the shirt. Most soldiers choose to walk in their nightwear with the poncho on when it’s close to sunset (and they’re allowed to do so) but Akira rejects the idea- since he hates his nightwear.
About the ranks: During the fall of their kingdom (when Minato’s and Akira’s parents died) there was so much of a panic that Akira had a hard time figuring out which soldier to listen to. Certain soldiers told him to go into combat (being a retainer and all- to protect the kingdom) but others told him to get the prince away to safety. It was a huge mess (obviously) since everyone was panicking and shouting shit to ward off the invaders. Akira figured that in case of sudden emergencies like those, they better make sure that their ranks are visible on ALL kinds of uniforms, even their nightwear. Minato didn’t want to enforce something so drastic, since he thought it’d create a divide between ranks (more than there already was) but considering that Akira raised a good point… he folded. In turn, every emergency was handled with a bit more tact when people knew what units to take orders from, but the divide between ranks became even greater. Soldiers began despising the Kurusu family line even more, thinking this was some kind of way to remind everyone else that they were beneath the Kurusus? Most people in the kingdom took it as “Eh, it’s better for security” but there’s still a minority that hate the idea, thinking it was suggested with malicious intent.
Ah right, I forgot to mention that he actually sometimes sleeps shirtless because his scars keep opening up as he tosses and turns during his sleep. So, if he knows the scars will probably open up again, he chooses not to ruin both his bedsheets and shirt - and sleeps shirtless instead.
That is amazing. I would love to hear more of your ideas for the royal au. :D
Some more ideas!!! Coming!!! Right up!!!
- Consider Akira being unable to do anything unless Minato asks him to. So, Akira only acts if Minato asks him to hold hands, stay in his room, etc, but it leaves Minato thinking that Akira’s being forced to do these things because he’s fulfilling his duty as a retainer? It’s a mess. Minato tries not to request things that breach certain boundaries (even hand-holding becomes too much and Minato decides against it) meanwhile, Akira wants to act but has no means to? Wants to hold Minato’s hand but he can’t act of his own free will because he’s supposed to serve Minato, not act upon his own urges? He relies on Minato to be assertive and when Minato isn’t, then they both suffer. Tho, when Minato’s being assertive, he feels as if he’s taking advantage of Akira’s position.
- Then there’s the taboo that the people wouldn’t accept their relationship? That’s the least of their worries. Living within the palace would be hell on earth if the other members found out a “Kurusu” wanted to get even closer to the throne. They’d get in trouble more with their own staff than with the outside world because this would be evidence that the Arisato family clearly always favors the Kurusu family. Minato doesn’t want to put Akira under more heat then he’s already in because of his family lineage, and Akira doesn’t want their staff and their people to think lowly of Minato because of these feelings they have?? Nothing is OK in this AU. Everyone is suffering.
- Minato wears a disguise and sneaks out of the palace at one point, and Akira decides to escort him around the city so he can be safe. They act like normal people for once and buy sweets from a small vendor. No one pays attention to them, everyone is being merry and Minato at one point drags Akira to dance in the square bc a band is playing and people are dancing? It’s easily the happiest moment in a world of hurt and it’s sad to know that this normalcy can only exist because one of them is faking their identity and becoming someone completely different.
