J.ironwood: For a first offense they need to fix the damage, pay for the cost, and have them remain in detention until they have done so. I've attached a document for how to scale offenses. Atlas has been using this with great success for years. I highly recommend basing your system of off this. Especially given that this is your first year.

Hey hey! Ozpin probably believed Qrow to be dead didnt he? During those first couple seasons when Qrow went dark. Even as he had to convince James again that Qrow would never betray them a part of him couldn't help but pointout...they'd been here before hadn't they? Desperately looking and wondering where one of their own was, stuck as Qrow tore across Remenet looking for summer. There was a silent understood grief of hunters:
