Bit of a hiatus on Tim’s end, just because he’s been stressed, a bit burned out, and increasingly anal about maintaining this blog.

Don’t know why I’m speaking in third person, but before I go, I want to reassure everyone that this has nothing to do with the other mundanes here. My muse has just died down a bit and shifted over to my OCs.

Don't Do It

Lonely

“I know...” Really, he did. He still had those moments. Moments where he felt lonely. Like there was no one for him to reach out to for help when he knew that couldn't be further than the truth. If he were being honest with himself, he had been having those moments more and more often lately.

It made him want to scream.

But seeing Jason struggling with the same feelings made him want to scream louder.

No one was allowed to be sad, or lonely, or afraid when he was around.

He was always the shoulder to cry on.

Never the one crying. Not since he was a little kid.

He could do that later.

Latin

“Latin is interesting.” He said that a little too sharply, and he immediately diverted his gaze away from Mr. Wayne.

“Sorry. I just—I kind of hear that a lot. I mean. I get it, but I think it's a beautiful language with a lot of history and cultural significance behind it. It's worth learning about.”

Chocolate

“Tiene canela y cayena. Pero no demasiado. Van bien con chocolate.”

It has cinnamon and cayenne in it. But not too much. They go well with chocolate.

Tim could have continued their conversation in English, but Spanish was a much more intimate and comforting language for them both. And Tim was here for an intimate reason.

He was worried about Jason.

Over the past week, Jason hadn't spoken a word to anyone. He barely ate. He hardly left his room. And when Tim had managed to catch glimpses of him around the house, he seemed to be wandering around aimlessly, his eyes fixed straight ahead in a thousand-yard-stare.

He was like a living ghost of himself. And as Tim sat beside his brother, he mulled over the times he had been in much the same condition.
