Well, it’s always better to not take medicines if one can avoid it, but if you can’t find any other solution at least you might give it a try, right? ;) Just don’t rely on them too much and don’t get addicted! :P

it's actually not possible to get physically addicted to antidepressive drugs. but yeah, usually i'm right there with you. i was offered antidepressive meds for the first time 15 years ago. ever since then. i always told myself i don't want and don't need them... and till now, i haven't taken any (except for a few sedative pills when i was having really really bad attacks) but seeing that 3 rounds of speech- and behavioural therapy (7 years of therapy, total) did not help me, i am now at the point to - if reluctantly - give them a try. believe me, it wasn't an easy choice at all. but i want to use them to get better a little, so i can better work through a 4th round of therapy after my hospital stay.

...they still scare me as fuck and i wish i was strong enough not to need chemical help. but everything else i've tried in the last 16 years has failed.

like... i am kindasorta religious? but it makes me flip when i hear anything along the lines of "homosexuality is sin" because... what the fuck! the god i was introduced to, is a god of unconditional love and not about hating those who are different (considering there are millions and miiiiiillions of homosexuals (and other non-heterosexuals) one would guess it's kinda not a big deal and they're not different at all??? but nooooo gotta find someone to hate and shame. pff. kindergarden.) and really, this is not about religion, it's about biology and common sense.
