hey arma cna you explain unstable to me i have no idea whats going on other then my goat squiddo in it??? explain help
PKAY SO. RUBS MY HANDS TOGETHER EVILLY
firstly i wanna say im like a baby in this fandom ive started watching the videos like. literally maybe only a day ago and i haven’t gotten all the way through my pov yet BUT ill try to explain what ive learned so far
i’m a wemmbu watcher so that all i can really offer. SO. ANWAY. from what i gather the unstable smp isn’t a typical smp, compared to the other smps im familiar with anyway. from what i can tell its ran and written by four people: parrot, spoke, flamefrags, and wemmbu. and these four people are the main ones behind the story and are the ones uploading pov videos to youtube. (i haven’t actually checked this myself but descriptions of the project i found online told me this so. could be wrong idk) it’s also a lot more scripted and widely coordinated compared to like, the qsmp, which makes for some super clean and constantly engaging story and video it’s really fun. it’s not like, there’s tons of people online at once all doing their thing and there’s invisible admins controlling some bits, every moment seems to be coordinated and scripted in some way to follow a set story. it’s more accurate to call it the unstable universe rather than unstable smp. unstable smp is like, the world the story takes place rather than what the thing itself is. does that make any sense
the main gist of the story is that a hardcore anarchy server. my guy wemmbu i believe has six arcs so far: the princezam empire arc, the invisible mafia arc, the pirate arc, the power arc, the fake identity arc, and the kings arc in that order. i started watching like mid power arc up to the start of the kings arc, and while going back to watch earlier stuff, haven’t gotten past the zampire arc so what i know is a little all over the place and i’ll have to leave some holes. BUT. basically wemmbu pretty much begins his story working under the empire of a player named princezam. they work together to take on their common enemies like spoke and his army, and are generally widely successful, managing to chunk ban a significant amount of them. um. that’s all i have to say about the early stuff so far iii. haven’t caught up yet. BUT anyway flashfoward to around the start of the power arc, wemmbu is an incredibly powerful and rich player largely skilled in mace pvp, using wind charges and his elytra, in combination with his mace, to take down large groups of other players all by himself. he is widely recognized for this mace pvp because he’s both very good at it and he’s one of the only players, if not *the* only player, on the server to fight this way. he also works largely alone, having a few friends he teams up with here and there, but not having a large team or army like a lot of his enemies on the server do. he seems incredibly bloodthirsty at this time, taking on anyone that seems like a threat in a fight without thinking about danger or possible consequences, and greatly enjoying fighting any chance he can. for example, this leads him to getting into a fight that will end with his friend’s massive base entirely exploded. this thing with his friends base happens, then he travels into the end and befriends the guardian of the end, minutetech, to put a stop to players exploiting gender dragon respawns to terrorize spawn. (there’s also some stuff before then but i haven’t gotten there yet) BUT. the main meat of arc, to me, is the farlands segment. wemmbu gets one of his two maces stolen by a player called sharpness, and is told to go to the farlands to retrieve it. this journey takes place over multiple videos, and involves wemmbu and his friend egg trying to track down sharpness. just how cool the environments in this universe’s take on the farlands is hard to express, but they are incredibly expansive and unique, including towering stone spikes, small chunks of different biomes randomized together, and large expansions that don’t much logical sense. they also come across familiar builds, like princezam’s castle, housing what they call “echoes”: player characters that, if they couldn’t see them, almost wouldn’t exist. they don’t wear armor, can’t be attacked, and don’t respond to egg and wemmbu when they try to talk to them. they also exist in a repeating cycle, doing the same things over and over.
anyway. egg and wemmbu travel through the farlands, and eventually come across a huge temple amidst them, home to only two players. wemmbu fights one of the players for the gear he has, but when the player surrenders after their fight, he kills him without a thought. he then kills the other player too. but, during this encounter, he learns about this thing called the “forge”, which wemmbu believes to be the place where the player he fought became so strong and acquired the ability to blow up large chunks of the terrain on command without any tnt. wemmbu becomes obsessed with the forge, and doesn’t want to leave the farlands without finding it, and doesn’t care who he has to defeat to get to it. so, even when they eventually get wemmbu’s mace back, he stays to try and find this forge. as he and egg travel farther into the farlands, it begins to degrade, eventually falling away into single grass blocks floating in a grid infinitely into the distance. eventually the blocks get farther and farther apart until it drops off into the void. up until now, they have been followed, and once they reach the edge of the void the player following them is there waiting. he tells them to turn back, but eventually fleas when wemmbu defeats him. then, he and egg bridge into the void, eventually coming across a huge floating golden city. despite initially being attacked upon arriving, the inhabitants of the city, only four players, welcome them. wemmbu demands to know where the forge is, but the players deny having any knowledge of it. but, wemmbu doesn’t buy it, and searches around the city for anything that could be useful. despite his distrust of these people, they’re mostly friendly to him, showing him around their city happily. though, wemmbu talks to these people, demanding information, even threatening to kill them if they don’t tell him what he wants. he eventually finds a hidden compass that leads him somewhere else in the farlands, which he believes has to be the forge. he and egg follow it, and come across rows and rows of tens or hundreds of orbital cannons, huge red stone machines that allow a person, if set up correctly, to set of huge explosions of tnt anywhere just by looking at where they want it set off. without doing anything.
the people from the city arrive at the cannons, demanding wemmbu leaves, saying they will show him the forge if he doesn’t touch the cannons. they go back to the city, and wemmbu and egg are led to an end portal, being told that through there is where the forge is. wemmbu knows this isn’t true, he’s been to the end before. but, egg is suddenly thrown into the portal, and wemmbu fights to escape the city, killing one or two of the players on his way. he goes back to the cannon, readying i think a hundred of them. then he goes back to the spawn of the unstable smp, and goes absolutely mad with power. he begins searching for his enemies to use the cannons on, decimating a whole city just to get information. he terrorizes his enemies, utterly destroying their builds and defeating two of them (though not killing them) in the process. but, when he’s done, he realizes he doesn’t have anything left on the server. he has too many enemies. made himself too notorious. he can’t be a normal player anymore. so he creates a fake identity, using potions of invisibility and hanging up his iconic mace to conceal his identity. he kind of steps back from his bloodthirsty way of life (he can’t kill anyone or the death message will show his name in chat) and even makes friends with some of his old enemies. idk. it’s hard to explain in a way that sounds cool. anyway that’s most of what i’ve got so far it’s really fun
ANYWAY that was a lot sorry i got excited. there’s even more to explain but. y’know. BUT yeah i looove the unstable smp it’s so fun. wemmbu is incredibly combat focused all of his videos have one, if not multiple, large fight scenes in them and it’s honestly so fun to watch they do it in such an interesting way. i also just love wemmbu’s character i love a bloodthirsty little freak who came from smaller beginnings and let his hunger for power consume and destroy him. also i love a guy with a gimmick. but yeah thumbs up emoji unstable smp is good
