Just some advice! If you’re considering having a character use ASL I would look up how the Deaf community views hearing people using asl “because it’s cool” and of course be respectful of Deaf culture if you are a hearing person. Also I’d recommend leaning even just the basics of asl because it is considered kinda rude (from my understanding as a hearing person who uses asl when nonverbal) when non asl users use fake signs that “look like asl but are not”.
ah, alright!!! im not sure how to go about that but i’ll try to do that!!! and yeah i don’t want to be disrespectful at all!!! and im not rly using it because its cool, i’d just want Starchild use it as a way to communicate because she’s either completely non-verbal or mostly non-verbal. but i don’t want to hurt anybody, so i can try to find other way for her to communicate!!! and i definitely wouldn’t use fake signs, that’d be rly awful!!!
