stephen king recs? im tryin to get into his books but theres Just So Many
hi! sorry for the late reply, i wanted to take some time to really gnaw on this before i jumped the gun and offered an impulsive “oh, everything.”
if you’re wanting to start with something small and easy to get into, i’d wholeheartedly recommend joyland. while not the standard horror norm that’s generally expected of him, it’s no less gorgeous than the rest. it’s mostly a coming of age story that develops over the course of a boy’s summer and begins with his new job as a carnie. really wonderful stuff.
carrie is also small-ish, quick to read, and all around absorbing. cycle of the werewolf, too. even smaller, actually.
after that, i’d tackle the shining + its sequel, doctor sleep. (i might be really awful and love sleep a teensy bit more than its predecessor, but both are truly stunning reads.) from then, i think you’ll have found your footing and can safely navigate through stevie’s dark dungeons.
also, an honorable mention: this one’s not any sort of story, but it’s an incredible source should someone be interested in writing professionally (or for pleasure) and fine-tuning their skills. on writing is a very behind-the-scenes look at what helps turn a mastermind like king’s gears. it chronicles his weak attempts, his failures, his first taste of success - and he offers handy tips and been-there know-how, as well as a peek into his writerly heart.
hope this helped a bit! ♥
i just started following u bcus i always looked you up as "homo_pink" from ur ao3 and i only just tried looking you up with a dash instead lmao
that dash/underscore bit can be quite confusing, yes! sorry about that. glad you’re here now though ❤️ hi!

Okay, you weirdos. To all the anons and friends who asked for links to the J2 AUs I mentioned in the tags of my post about weird fanfics, here you go:
Why don’t you do me right? by strippedpink is the Who Framed Roger Rabbit? AU with Jensen in the Jessica role, Jared as Roger, Jeffrey Dean Morgan as Eddie, and Chad Michael Murray as Baby Herman. It’s funny and definitely worth a read.
Never As Perfect As In My Head by nyxocity is a HIMYM AU that is one of my favorite J2 AUs EVER. It’s adorable and funny and features Misha as the Barney Stinson character. My god, it’s too perfect for words. Just read it.

who summons me
Hi! I am glad y'all are here awake with me :D! Alas I think I have decided to hold off on posting this fic until tomorrow, so that the person who it is for will be awake, too... So it'll be up in a bit, probably while I'm in Legal Profession not doing Legal Profession things.
But since you so nicely responded, can I do something nice back for you?
