My new minicomic about this little Jedi ObiMaul AU I’ve been thinking of for the last few weeks. It’s basically what I imagine would have happened if Maul was found by the Jedi before Sidious.

Mace Windu is Maul’s master because I think they’re PERFECT for each other! Also, I’m a fluffy PadaWAN truther 💪🏻😤

Padawan Maul design things.

His outfit is based on a Japanese edoten, and the scabbard idea is from Star-wars visions ( I thought it was cool, hehe)

Maul was taken by Palpatine as a child, but the dummy lost him, and he ended up with the Jedi. Maul is a strict follower of the Jedi code, even going as far as not using lethal force (light lightsaber) as a way to show his extreme commitment (to pacifism). His master is Shaak-Ti because she would mentor the hell out of that boy.

In this AU, Maul's personality is kinda like Gaara from Naruto. Very quiet, convinced he was born to be evil yearning for connection.

In truth, Maul doesn't use his Lightsaber because he is afraid to kill. He thinks that if he kills, even in self-defense, he won't be able to stop killing.

The scabbard is reinforced with lightsaber resistant metal so he can fight with it.

okay so I've been writing this jedi!Maul au for my gf but I've seen great art so you guys inspired me and gave me enough confidence to share some headcanons for you!

Instead of giving baby Maul to Sidious, Maul's mother Kycina (Legends canon oop!) encounters a pirate ship stuck on Dathomir and she pleads them to take him out of the planet so he can avoid a life as a slave

Pirates are evil but not as evil as Sidious of course They try to sell this baby red zabrak but it scares the shit out of posible clients so he ends up in the pirate ship for almost three years

He learns how to play sabbac and use a vibroblade

A jedi shadow finds him and takes him to the Jedi Temple

Now imagine this tiny zabrak really really strong that scares everyone cause he is red and FERAL and knows how to win at sabbac and bites people

Of course he bites Obi-wan at least twice during his first month at the Jedi Temple

But actually Maul is pretty discipline and he really wants to be a jedi (once he learns what is a jedi)

Although he is a couple of year younger, he ends up in Obi-wan's class cause this👏kid👏 was👏 born👏 to👏 be👏 a👏 jedi

He definitely beats the shit out of Obi-wan and even Quinlan a couple of times during training

The three of them fight over a sandwich once

Maul is the first youngling of his class to become a padawan.

Pong Krell chooses him as his padawan and teaches him to use two lightsabers although Maul ends up picking a saberstaff

His blades are yellow

He is a great padawan, okay?

Some of his most relevant missions? Rescuing a force sensitive child, Eldra Kaitis, from the Xrexus Cartel, and going undercover into Cog Hive Seven to secure nuclear bombs.

The mission to Cog Hive 7 is his Trial of Courage

When he becomes Jedi Knight, he chooses Eldra Kaitis as his padawan

Just thinking about the AU where Ashoka takes Maul as her padawan that Anakin is so proud of his padawan, all grown up taking her first apprentice even if Maul is 14 years older then him.

I love that AU to bits even if I'm completely unqualified to write it and am therefore forever grateful to @hannagoldworthy for doing it instead (go read Reflex, go do it!). I'm torn between "my little baby's all grown up and off to destroy people", "Ahsoka. I say this with love. What the fuck is wrong with you", and "Life is already so goddamn weird at this point" wrt to Anakin's reaction to Ahsoka taking Maul as her padawan. Hanna went a more "what the fuck" route in Reflex, which is very valid, but that just increases my desire for Disaster Lineage Hijinks, because that's just what I'm like as a person.
