Theres a Fish in There.......Tiger Fish Part 11B
The same picture, the same fish, yes, it has not changed. This is 11B ! Because I was researching tiger patterns and noticed, real tigers do not have much yellow, they are mostly orange and white. So it was back to the airbrush for some remedial painting. I added a much larger white lower. I also painted the first part of the background (part 10) with light blue and a beautiful sparkly dark blue, ( water man, its water)....its drying so pics are up tomorrow.
The process for the dragon will be long and involved. It will probably take me weeks of work from pencil design to final painted dragon. The dragon will be about 24 to 30 “ diameter, carved in some dimensions and painted in full color, so whhoooooeee, work there), so in the meanwhile, I am going to also start another fish along the same lines as this one. I have another chunk of foam, so...fun!
The two Googie Cats are on hold until I set up my spindle/disc sander. That well seasoned MDO is some hard stuff. Power is up on this project.
The two Reclinocats have one more coat of color and then a back and done. They will be accompanied by a section of individual settings for order in our Etsy store. You can send me a picture of your cat and I will make one with the same colors and fur patterns, yahoooo, right ! I also have a rough sketch for a cat sitting up that will be added at some point.
All these items will be in the shop as they are finished. I still am working on prices. These are not your daddys playtime projects. Each of these is a one of a kind individual art project designed by and from my pro shop. It took me many years to learn the skills that went into making these and they are intended to last for generations.
A Backward Glance.

Watered down Acrylic Paint.
This was an experimentation and to interpret the washing away of ones self. Similarly to the piece I produced last year called ‘Filthy Whore’.
