For the, everyone hates Paimon!MC except the Khaenrians and Traveler, I think the Abyss siblings would at first see Paimon!MC as a way to get the traveler to realize how horrible the world is. But later the siblings grows to cherish Paimon!MC and really care for her.
Maybe one night Abyss sibling is watching traveler and Paimon!MC. Traveler is fighting some monsters and Abyss siblings is on a cliff nearby watching. Paimon!MC spots them and teleports to them, asking directly why they won't go to the traveler.
The two have a long chat and Abyss siblings opens up and then, the two become fast friends. Paimon!MC can't see Abyss siblings after that but she feels them watching her and traveler. The traveler panicked when the fight stopped and they couldn't find her. But then she popped up, a note in her hands, and gave it to Traveler. Later Traveler hugs her with puffy eyes, asking if she wanted to keep helping people/adventuring.
Paimon!MC despite everything says yes.
The note basically explained a few things. Like why Abyss siblings was staying away (but not their goal), how the world was corrupt and how they wanted traveler to see that themself without anyone swaying their opinion. Then Abyss siblings said that whenever Traveler finally understood how terrible the world was, they should ask Paimon!MC if she wanted to keep traveling and the Traveler should act on that. Abyss sibling apologizes and says they love Traveler, that when the two siblings leave the world then they WILL take Paimon!MC with them.
So things happen and Paimon!MC is mostly in the teapot, only coming out when it's just Traveler because she KNOWS Dainsleif will recognize her and she's scared he'll hate her for not protecting Khaenri'ah.
I think Traveler will initially stay away from the nations but when Paimon!MC begs them to help everyone, they finally relent and help out. Everyone thinks Traveler got rid of Paimon and show their hate for her. Traveler literally has to stop themself from tearing someone's throat out though Abyss sibling is probably in the background telling them to do it. The only reason they don't is because if they do it would put Paimon!MC in danger.
Despite it, Traveler helps to the bare minimum and spends most of their time away from the nations. Dainslief quickly becomes their traveling partner and is very curious about the teapot the Traveler is so protective of. One day, he had left a few hours earlier because he needed to do something and he was just starting to get back but hidden because it's instinctive and stuff, he sees Paimon!MC leave the teapot and talk with the traveler. Dainslief is just kinda stuck there until he just appears behind her, grabs her, and hugs her.
He hadn't seen her before because the previous things/quests with the traveler (the ones in the game) had Paimon!MC avoiding Dainslief because again, she thinks he hates her.
Traveler was about to tears his throat about before remembering that he was the only one who didn't actively hate Paimon!MC.
Dainslief explains things and Traveler is shocked. Because what do you mean Paimon!MC fucking FOUGHT CELESTIA and the SHADES!!! What do you mean Khaenri'ah WORSHIPED HER (can Traveler join?)!!! What do you mean she was BADLY INJURED in the CATACLYSM!!!
Dainsleif becomes fiercely protective of her and the Traveler. I think when Traveler helps out with Natlan, they see Capitano, clock he's a Khaenrian, and proceed to tell Paimon!MC about him, letting Paimon!MC tell them what they should do. Traveler wanted Paimon have a say in anything Khaenrian/Khaenri'ah related.
She is frozen before telling Traveler to not hurt Capitano, maybe even test him. Dainslief reassures them that Capitano still loves and worships Paimon!MC and that if he didn't... well Dainsleif gained an eerie grin after that. Capitano is revealed to still worship her and is so very happy to see her again. She heals his rot! Same with Danislief's!! She hadn't wanted to tell him because she didn't know if it would work but when she saw the two Khaenrians suffering she floated over, took their hands, and healed them.
It exhausted her really badly, made her fall unconscious for like a week. It really made them all panic and nearly made Traveler go feral on their asses.
Capitano sends a letter to Pierro and very much so wants to join with them to go to Nod Krai, but he can't, he has to go back to the Tsarista. Though he does send letters along with Pierro, who also still worships her. Paimon!MC sneaks into Fatui headquarters and heals Pierro much to his shock and he freezes. She sneaks back out, goes to the tea pot, and takes a nap for a day or two.
Capitano makes a different deal with Ronova and lives, because Ronova saw Paimon!MC (in her adult form) glaring at her menacingly and just caved. Paimon!MC reverts back to her smaller form and enters the teapot before anyone can appear.
The three reach Nod Krai and thankfully, none of them buy the bullshit about Paimon!MC. When they meet Flins and they all become friends she asks if she can see the gem in his lantern. He hands it over and her eyes widen. Dainslief was somewhere on Nod Krai, probably dealing with the Wild Hunt and scouting and stuff.
She hands it over reluctantly but he refuses it, saying she clearly wanted it so she was free to have it. Her eyes widen and she thanks him. Later Traveler asks why she wanted it.
Paimon!MC just says that it isn't a gem and is something VERY important. Later on during the scene where Rerir's heart would be purified and such, she just appeared and screamed 'STOP'. Rerir froze because that was his GODDESS, the one who nearly died trying to protect Khaenri'ah. She flies over and hands the heart over, saying things in a rush. Saying she knew he probably hated her, that she was sorry for not being able to save Tholindis and Khaenri'ah, but that he needed to calm down and here was his heart, just please stop attacking.
He looks at her with awe and reverence because his goddess has just given him his power back, was apologizing for something in no akin to her fault. He repeats the vow in ancient Khaenrian, the one everyone in Khaenri'ah took every single day, a vow to her, their worship, their feality, their willingness to do anything she asked, their willingness to die for her or by her hand, their pledge to her religion/cult, and the fact they would kill anyone for her/if they did some perceived slight.
Traveler's eyes narrow and they grab Paimon!MC as Rerir bows and disappears. Traveler has SEEN Dainsleif repeating that very same vow to Paimon!MC every morning and night.
Paimon!MC now has to explain everything (Traveler already knows though [but not about the gem being Rerir's heart] and is ready to BOLT as soon as any of the others show any hint of anger/animosity towards her) to a very curious Flins, Lauma, Columbina (later on), Neffer, Jahoda, Aino, Ineffa. Dainsleif is still away scouting and is so very sad he can't see Paimon!MC.
Don't worry though Paimon!MC!! Everyone still loves and cherishes you!! Abyss sibling needs to calm down though because they are about to throw away their plans and just nap Traveler and Paimon!MC and then leave.
Love me aome unhinged Khaenri'ahns, a protective Traveler, and a Nod Krai that doesn't follow the same trend as the other nations.
...Do you think that since Nod Krai is ok with Paimon!MC, Varka and his knights share this opinion? Maybe being away Mondstadt clears their mind and sees the bigger picture.
Plus, Varka takes one look at the Marshmallow Fairy and questions Barbatos and others mental states, cause who in their right mind would hate this tiny bean???
