OK, this is a question for anyone out there in Tumblr world that lives in East TN? Pal's. The Burger Place that looks like a burger. Yay or Nay? I went there a year or so ago for the first time in Jefferson City and I wasn't that impressed. Am I weird for not liking Pal's???

The original (and still the best to me) Pal's Sudden Service in Kingsport, Tennessee. First opened in 1956, Pal's was the brainchild of Fred "Pal" Barger. He'd attended a convention in Chicago where he met Ray Kroc (of McDonald's fame), who inspired him to launch his own restaurant. Pal's has since grown to 30 locations, most of which are noted for the huge replica food items (hamburgers, hot dogs, fries, etc.) installed on the roof. Pal Barger passed away in 2020 but his legacy...and Frenchie Fries...live on. - Shane
