Jayce’s gaze drifted then to Viktor—and he froze.The tendrils of light were back.They stretched from his wrist to Viktor’s arm, their golden arcs humming faintly with energy. Unlike before, they weren’t chaotic or menacing. They pulsed gently, like a steady heartbeat. Instead of recoiling in fear like the first time, Jayce leaned closer, studying the strange connection.“Is this… you?” He murmured softly, his voice barely audible. “Are you still in there, Viktor?”The tendrils flickered slightly, as if in response. Jayce’s breath caught, his heart pounding. It was proof—proof that Viktor was still alive, somewhere deep inside the strange amalgamation of magic and steel. The connection gave him hope.
