Verdict half way through day 1 of zone paleo: holy crap am I ever stuffed. I will probably 'carb flu' a bit over the next few days, but otherwise I am feeling more than satisfied. Also! I may have found a CrossFit solution for now. I want to do 3:1, but can't afford it. So maybe I'll do some body weight only WODs on days I can't get to the gym to make up the workouts. Worth a try short term!
Gonna break paleo zone for the first time in 3 days today for Indian food and it will be so worth it. Om nom nom.
Going in to the Zone...
So, any one out there in the tumblr/fitblr community do the Zone Diet and keep it paleo? I'm strongly leaning towards doing it because I think my overabundance of fat (yet good fats) in my diet is preventing me from losing this weight. I literally have been stuck between 212-215 for basically a month and it is driving me BONKERS.
I did this websites estimation of how many blocks of everything I should be eating per meal and this is what it came up with:
19 blocks per day Breakfast - 4 Snack - 2 Lunch - 4 Snack - 2 Dinner - 5 Snack - 2
I'd love to hear your feedback on your own experience with the Zone/Paleo diet and your favorite meals/snacks. I've heard a lot of good things about how people curbed their hunger, started seeing huge results in the gym, etc. I mean, come on, who wouldn't want that, amirite?
