Yall gotta see this! Azealia Banks is initiated in Palo Mayombe and she practices Lucumi as well. She explains some of the differences between them in a really helpful easy to understand way and addresses some important topics about Palo including LGBT+ practitioners wanting to enter Palo and the roles of women in Palo (like why you can’t do Palo work on your period).

Highly recommend watching this if you’re interested in both or either traditions!

Why to never immediately trust a “Vodou” (or any other path you don’t know a LOT about) person from the internet...

Someone I follow had found a fake account which was using his photos. So I got curious and looked... found 15 pages all together pretending to be a “Hongoun” using fake photos from 1-2 other people’s accounts!!!!!!

So yeah, if you want someone to work for you, or to teach you, ask them who taught them, where they were taught, who initiated them, where they were initiated and so on. 

Years ago, someone copied my ENTIRE website to sell the products. How they would make those, or even look alikes is beyond me.
