Ashlyn: She’s his biological mother, Dora. What else can we do? If she wants to see him and meet him, and Daiki’s okay with it… then we can only support it.
Pandora: Like hell we’re doing that. That’s my son, our son. We raised him, he’s more ours than hers. She GAVE him AWAY, Ash. She left him on my damn doorstep in who knows how many degrees below zero in the middle of winter. If she thinks she can just show up now and play mommy with him, she’s wrong. So, so wrong.
Ashlyn: I get that, Dora. But Daiki wants to meet her, and neither of us can stop that. If we shut him out now, he’ll do it when he’s older, and I don’t want him growing up resentful, thinking we didn’t want him to know who he is.
Pandora: We’re protecting him, Ash. That woman is fucking insane. Daiki’s better off without her.
Ashlyn: I’m sorry, but I have to disagree with you here. Dora, you and she were in the same world a few years ago. And both of you seemed pretty comfortable doing what we both know you were doing.
Pandora: Mind you, you were there too. But whatever, I’m out now.
Ashlyn: I know. I didn’t mean it like that… I know you’re not that person anymore.
Pandora: No, but that doesn’t mean I forgot how things are done. I know exactly how to make Yaoko leave us alone, and I’m going to do it. She’s not getting anywhere near Daiki or any of our kids. No fucking way. I’m not letting that happen.
Ashlyn: Don’t even think about doing something stupid, Pandora Pollock. I don’t care if every single Saito shows up here looking for revenge. You’re not in that world anymore, it has nothing to do with you. We’ll find another way.
Pandora: This IS the way. And I’ll do it MY way, Ash. It’ll work, and they won’t catch me, because they’ll never find her. I promise, nothing’s going to happen.
Ashlyn: You ended up in jail, Pandora! Your dad almost died because of what happened! I had to quit my undercover job! Your brother risked his job and his reputation for you... his marriage! I almost died, Pandora, so don’t you dare tell me everything’s gonna be fine and nothing’s gonna happen! We have kids! You’re not walking out of this house and coming back to hug my kids with blood on your hands!
Pandora: I’m doing this for us, Ash. It’s what I have to do to protect what we have.
Ashlyn: You’re doing it for YOU! Because you only think about what benefits you, and you never think about what happens to the others... the ones you drag down with you! But I’ll be damned if I let you hurt my kids, no matter how much I love you. It’s not just you and me anymore, Pandora. My priorities have changed, and yours should’ve too.
Pandora: My priority IS protecting everyone, but apparently that’s not enough for you.
Ashlyn: Don’t you dare put this on me. I’m giving you a choice. This time, I won’t let it slide and pretend nothing happened when it’s time to face the consequences. If you go, if you do this, nothing will ever be the same.
Pandora: So I tell you I wanna protect our family at all costs, and the only thing I get from you is an ultimatum? Forget it, I’ll handle it my way.
Ashlyn: Pandora, this is your family. Why would you risk losing your kids over a woman who isn’t worth it? Don’t do something stupid, think it through, because you’ll regret it. Think of them, Dora. Think of your dad. He won’t survive seeing you in jail again.
Pandora: My dad’s already dying, Ash… this will just speed it up.
Ashlyn: [whispers to herself] And you just killed the only family you had left, Dora.
