New Fic: Fracture

Hello!

I'm so excited to be posting a new Ted Lasso fic, focused on Ted, Keeley, and Nate. I'm out here promoting my Ted and Keeley friendship agenda, and simultaneously having Ted go through it again. For science, of course.

Anyways, here's a snippet:

“Ted?” she says softly. Up close, she can see that his breaths are coming out in quick, sharp bursts, and his body is shaking violently as his shoulders climb up to his ears. What scares Keeley the most, though, is the blank, faraway expression in his eyes. Next to her, Nate has fallen into a stunned sort of silence, looking back and forth between her and Ted with wide, terrified eyes. The anxiety in his eyes seems to mirror the one brewing in her gut. Clearly, there’s something going on here that’s well beyond her understanding, but Ted needs help and she’s gonna have to do something now. “Ted, it’s me, Keeley. Can you hear me?” she continues, keeping her voice level and quiet. No response, except for a choked, hitched breath and hands crawling up to his face as he curls into himself, gasping.

New Fic: Convalescence

Hello!

I'm so excited to be posting my second followup fic to Exposure Therapy. This one focuses on Jamie — the immediate aftermath of what happens to him towards the end of the original fic, and quite a bit afterwards. Here's a snippet:

Roy grunts. “Is your dad gonna be around, then?” That day — the locker room in Wembley, the way Jamie had started sobbing and everything started to click into place about Jamie Tartt… Well, he’ll never forget it. And more than that, Roy now knows that Jamie’s dad is a piece of living shit and he would do anything to make sure that specific piece of living shit stays as far away from Jamie as possible, especially now. But the fact is, if Jamie is going back to Manchester, then… “Mum hasn’t seen him in years,” Jamie mumbles. “But he knows that I’m hurt. I think he can figure out where I went, and I…I don’t want him hurting her.” His eyes track back and meet Roy’s directly, wide. “I’m scared,” he whispers, voice shaking. “I’m fucking terrified, Roy.”

New Fic: Homeward Bound

I'm so excited to finally be posting my first Obi-Wan fic of the year! Took a while, but we're here now ;)

This is a Kenobi series AU with some more whump and an Ahsoka and Obi-Wan reunion, because I'm me and can't help having my faves hang out.

Here's a snippet:

Slowly, Obi-Wan lifts up his uninjured hand towards his face, until his fingers meet the cool, hard surface of a breathing mask. “You inhaled quite a lot of smoke.” Smoke? Obi-Wan shakes his head. “Where…” “We’re going to get her back, Obi-Wan. You just need to rest, alright? It’s going to be alright.” He doesn’t understand. It doesn’t make sense. None of this makes sense. “Where…” He tries again, forcing the words out. “Where…Anakin?” Silence. Then, a cold hand presses itself onto his forehead. Obi-Wan sinks back a bit into the cot, eyes fluttering. He wants to protest, to ask again about Anakin. Surely Anakin must be nearby if he’s hurt like this. Usually he is. Obi-Wan is certain he can sense him, anyways, but it’s so murky in the Force that he can’t pinpoint it. “I’m not sure,” the woman admits.

New Fic: Denouement

Hello there!

I'm so excited to be posting the first followup fic to Exposure Therapy. This fic focuses on Trent and Ted after the events of the original fic. Here's a snippet:

Ted shifts a bit in his chair, as though he’s trying to settle down into a more comfortable position. It’s enough to tell Trent that Ted is probably more nervous about this than he seems. Which is perfectly understandable, considering everything that happened and what Trent did to him. “Ted, it’s not recording right now, okay? You don’t have to do this if you don’t want to,” Trent says softly as he puts the recorder down again, in what he hopes is a reassuring tone. “I also want to make it clear that anything you don’t want to talk about, I won’t ask or put in the book. You have my word.” Ted freezes at that, then slowly nods. “Yeah, I just…” He makes a strange, pinched face. “Y’know, I’ve only just managed to catch up on all my texts and emails and everything, right? And I’m sure Keeley has even more of this to deal with now than I know about, but the press, they’re gonna ask questions that I sure as heck don’t know how to answer.” “Yeah, I can imagine,” Trent replies, grimacing.

“Long day, huh?” Ted whispers, wrapping an arm around his son. Henry nods and opens his eyes. Then, he swallows, glancing at Michelle. There’s a knowing look exchanged between the two of them, something that tells Ted that — that answers the question he’s spent most of the day worrying about, and now — “Henry,” Ted says, before he realizes that he’s speaking. “Did anyone at school say anything about…about how —” He swallows, looks at Michelle. This ain’t right. Maybe he should just… He doesn’t even know what he’s asking.

In an instant, Rebecca moves forward to sit down next to him, but Ted shifts away, shaking his head violently. “Leave me alone,” he says, between the too-quick, too-sharp breaths. “It’s better. Just…just find someone else. I ain’t doin’ it anymore, you got Beard here and Roy and all those other people you shoulda hired in the first place. Lemme go.” Rebecca freezes at his words. “Go where?” she whispers. “Ted, you belong here.” “You don’t feel that way,” Beard says softly, before Ted can answer Rebecca. “Ted, you love coaching. You don’t quit things. I know you.” “D’you?” Ted asks, chest heaving. “I never told you about — about him. What he did. To me, to my mom.”

Chapter 3 was written for the Angstpril 2026 Day 25 Prompt: Exploited Weakness. Here's a snippet:

Next to him, Ted comes to a sudden stop. His eyes are wide as he stares out the end of the tunnel, shoulders shaking. Beard sees him take in the sight of the crowd awaiting them — the cheers, screams, and chants. The stadium is full today — not just of Richmond and West Ham supporters aching to see their team win, not just of football fans eager to see a game play out live before their eyes, but of people who know. Beard can’t imagine having to walk out to a stadium full of people who know all the details about the darkest, most terrible day of his life. Just the thought of it causes his blood to run like ice in his veins. “Coach?” Beard turns towards him. He sees Roy ahead, turning slightly to look at them, a worried frown deepening his brows. Ted shakes his head, violently, as he takes a step back. “Y’all go ahead,” he rasps, and his chest heaves slightly as he struggles for breath. “I think I…I, uh…I need to go. I can’t…I’m sorry, I can’t.”

Chapter 2 was written for the Angstpril 2026 Alt 2 Prompt: Brokenhearted. Here's a snippet:

“Hey fellas, real quick, I got somethin’ to say.” They’re about to head out to the pitch for training. Beard is surprised to see Ted walk through the office’s side door, drop his backpack off on his desk, and go into the locker room to speak to the team. Perhaps he’s doing better than Beard thought. Beard moves just past the doorway, standing next to Roy, who’s staring at Ted with a raised eyebrow. “Y’all know what happened,” Ted says, voice not much louder than a mumble. He looks down. “I, uh…I appreciate y’all. If I’m acting a bit…well, off-color, I’m real sorry about that. Y’know what they say: it’s not you, it’s me. Context’s different, of course, but sentiment’s the same.” “We got you, gaffer,” Colin says, and there are echoes of similar sentiment as the team rallies to support their coach.
