Parenthood meme: 2, 13, 26, 27

~So I’m mostly just going to go with Gustave for these answers since he’s technically Erik’s son (even though I don’t consider LND canon)~

2 ~  what do they like the most about their child?

~Erik greatly admires Gustave’s talent for composing. He writes music much like he does - a tune gets into his head that he can’t ignore until he plays it. He also loves how he is kindhearted like Christine~

13 ~  what’s your character’s favorite thing to do with their child?

~Definitely signing and playing music together~

26 ~  has parenthood changed your character in some way? How?

(so I’m answering this one as if Christine and Erik had stayed together when they had Gustave)

~Being a father GREATLY changes Erik. It is love at first sight when he meets Gustave. Having to care for a newborn makes him much more compassionate and loving. He is kinder in general, and not as angry at the world now that he has found joy with a family. Deep down, I feel he’s always wanted to be a father, but never dwelled on the desire as he was terrified of passing his deformity onto his child (not to mention he never thought he’d find a woman who would love him)~

27 ~ what’s the one thing your character dislikes about being a parent?

~One of the thing he dislikes is he has no complete idea how to be a father. He never met his own father, and his mother always treated him with cruelty. Sometimes he feels completely clueless or inadequate, and begs Christine to take over. Comforting and advice are two things he struggles with~

3. How would your character react if their child confessed to them that they saw a ghost/monster and gave grisly details?

{She’d probably be really frightened and try to comfort them, then probably go to Twilight afterwards to see if it could be anything real}
