thinking about parkarthur. thinking about "you look like you've hit bedrock, friend" and how arthur was falling apart but he let parker in, because he was nosy and he was the physical intimidation between the two of them and he liked blood and sands and he was a private investigator and he didn't deserve to die. thinking about arthur who was nothing more than his mistakes getting a second chance and taking it and learning to love the piano again.

and they're both so fucking broken even if they never really say it and sometimes it's better not to look things in the eyes so they dance and they drink and call each other nicknames so often that hearing their real names is strange and they're all the other has and maybe even partners in ever sense of the word and parker is bleeding out on the floor of their office and arthur killed the only person left that still mattered to him.
