“Here we areee~~!” Jungwoo sang as he traipsed over to the entrance of Namdaemun Market, made a peace sign at Eunji, you, and Anna, and blew kisses at the entrance sign. “<Heaven!>”

Eunji laughed as she went over and hugged him. He pulled her into a bear hug and swung her around.

You and Anna laughed as you walked over. 

“<Is this a… “Korean only” trip?>” You asked.

“<Yes,> Eunji said as she extracted herself from Jungwoo’s embrace. “Only Korean. But there’s going to be a lot of food and things for sale you’ve probably never seen, so you can ask us the words for it.”

You nodded.

“<You ready?>”

“<Are you kidding? I picked hanbok out all by myself!>” You strode towards the marketplace confidently; and with the rubber hose arms of Vince McMahon as he walks into the wrestling ring.

You turned around, Jungwoo was already doing his Tom and Jerry walk towards you and you switched to his move. You heard Eunji and Anna laughing behind you as the two of you entered the marketplace like a couple of mobster cats ready to shake down some food stall owners.

Twenty minutes later Jungwoo had filled both his and Eunji’s backpacks nearly to the brim with groceries. It took everything you had to resist letting him using yours as well, as you vehemently explained that you also wanted to go home with groceries.

You also stopped at several of the food stalls and bought food you ate while walking around: fried breads stuffed with glass noodles, dumplings, cutlass fish braised in red chili stew with vegetables, sweet hotteok, savory hotteok, dumplings, potato hot dogs, gyeranbbang, chapssal doughnuts, and more dumplings. You also went to noodle alley and got a whole meal for five dollars (American). You were in love.

With such cheap and delicious food, it was definitely a place you wanted to spend more time in. Though, you were wondering if the price-consciousness of your brain could be matched by the space in your stomach. You made a mental note to come back another time with a completely empty backpack and gorge yourself then as well. 

You wondered if Jaehyun would want to go with you.

“<I think I’m full,>” Anna said as she finished her doughnut. 

Eunji nodded at her in agreement, and both of them looked at you and Jungwoo, who had a hotteok in each hand. “<I don’t know how the both of you have so much room in your bellies.>”

Jungwoo looked at you and then Eunji before sniffing dramatically as if he were about to cry. “<Food… really is my life.>”

You nodded as dramatically as you could and took a bite out of one of the hotteoks.

Eunji laughed at you both and Anna rolled her eyes as she laughed.

“Jungwoo? Eunji?” You heard a girl’s voice say and the four of you turned to look.

Luna and Johnny were walking towards you.

“Hey guys,” Johnny said as they made their over.

You held a finger up to your mouth to silence him. “<Today is Korean-only.>”

Luna raised an eyebrow at you.

“<Ohhh, okay. Are you guys here to eat?>”

You pointed at Jungwoo’s backpack. “<And buy groceries.>” Jungwoo modelled his backpack for a moment.

Johnny nodded and then laughed. “<How much have you guys eaten?>”

You thought about all the food and tried to put it all together in your head. You looked to Jungwoo for help, and he also looked like he was trying to calculate it all.

“<It looks like she’s eaten everything.>” Luna said with a smile.

You stared at her blankly. Angry, but you tried not to let your face betray you. You smiled instead. “<What does that mean?>”

She smiled sweetly. “<You look like you’ve eaten a lot is all. I could never put all that away.>” 

Johnny looked at her for a second and her expression became cuter. 

Jungwoo looked annoyed. “<What’s wrong with eating a lot-- >”

“<But you’d buy me all the food I wanted to eat - if I did - right Johnny?>” She cuddled up to Johnny and hugged him so he had to look down and only see her.

“<Sure, baby.>”

While they acted gross you rolled your eyes and turned to Anna. She looked at you like she was telling you not to do anything and you stood behind her - so she and Eunji were now between you and Luna - held both hotteoks in one hand, and pulled your phone out pretending you had something important to check.

“<Why are you guys here?>” Anna asked.

“<Oh, we just came to check out some clothes,>” Johnny said.

Anna nodded. “<There are some nice stores around here.>”

“<Yeah, but they’re so cheap, don’t you think?>” Luna asked.

“<I thought that was part of the appeal.>” 

Luna looked slightly shocked for a moment, but she recovered and laughed girlishly. “<Oh my god, you’re so funny.>”

Anna smiled.

Johnny looked between the two of them for a couple of seconds as he seemed to be processing what was happening. “<We’re going to go. Have fun with the food guys.>”

Jungwoo, Eunji, and Anna, said goodbye, you nodded and grunted your farewell.

As they left, Luna ran to look at something at a stall and there was something… weirdly familiar about the way she ran. 

Like a... squirrel.

Sage shook her head and gave a smile.

“No please don’t be sorry! You didn’t know, besides…”

Sage gave Squishy a squeeze as Squishy made a squishing sound.

“We should be happy like Squishy here!”

Lumi and Vanna gave slight squeals before picking up Dewdrop and playing with it again.

“If anyone doesn’t mind… I might have a shower… Get this sea smell off me”

Everyone looks to Char quietly before looking amongst themselves.

“I guess that’s fine? But what shall we do until you finish?”

Char pondered for a moment before having an idea, she limped to her computer and turned it on and logged in.

“You guys want music or a movie? Even some Shows?”

Everyone smiled before Sage raised Squishy up in the air.

“Do you have a show called Parodian Dreama?”

Everyone else looked to Sage in a confused matter but Char grinned happily.

“All that is currently out, you want me to put it on?”

Sage hugged Squishy which made the plush make a loud squishing sound.

“Yes please!”

Vanna blinked in confusion.

“What is Parodian Dreama?”

Sage gave a slight gasp and looked towards Vanna with an astonished look.

“You haven’t heard of it!? Please someone here knows about it…”

Everyone else either shrugged or shook their heads.

Sage sighed.

“Parodian Dreama is a show created by Genesis Animation Productions. It’s a type of adventurous fantasy show. It’s quite a hit actually”

Sage nodded happily and looked to Char as she was setting up stuff on her computer.

“Yeah! It’s where these teens have discovered some special entities called Parodians and must befriend them and the more they bond the better! They created different forms of games and events with them while trying to juggle around the more dangerous and destructives ones!”

Lumi was now interested in this show and so was Vanna, the elderly man chuckled silently to himself as Synapse pushed his glasses up.

“That sounds interesting, alright let’s have a watch, shall we?”

Sage squealed happily as Char close the curtains to make the room dark and widened the computer screen.

“It’s on automatic play so no need to press next ok? Enjoy the show”

Sage and the rest found spots to sit on the bed and floor while the show plays while Char got ready for shower.

“Nice warm shower should help loosen the muscles and pain in my legs…”

Char got some of her undergarments including an owl onesie before popping into the shower and turning on the water and jumping in.

“Are you sure you’re alright?”
