Ngl if Macky witnessed ANYTHING like S5 Wukong's screaming during the journey, then I 100% get why he might have gone feral. Except for the part where I start having doubts that happened due to the missing circlet BUT its totally understandable as a concept.
oh yeah it def makes sense for Macky to jump to conclusions like that in jttw if he witnessed the circlet’s power. and sure, he had his personal issues with Wukong, but it was never enough for him to wish for his old friend to be in great pain and forced to a job beneath his strength and power. so, protective instincts kick in and more misunderstandings ensue between the two of them and— oh would you look at that, a dead monkey 🤷🏻♀️
