Ingredients: 1 lb 450g ground beef. 1 small onion, chopped. 1 cup 240ml pizza sauce. 2 cups 480ml cooked pasta penne or rotini. 1 cup 240ml shredded mozzarella cheese. 1/2 cup 120ml sliced pepperoni. 1/2 cup 120ml sliced black olives. 1/2 cup 120ml sliced green bell peppers. 1/2 cup 120ml sliced mushrooms. 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano. 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder. Salt and pepper to taste.
Instructions: Start by heating the oven to 350F 175C. Put the ground beef and chopped onion in a large skillet. Cook over medium-high heat until the beef is browned and the onion is soft. Get rid of any extra fat. Add the dried oregano, garlic powder, salt, and pepper, and mix them in. Let it cook for 5 minutes. Spread out half of the cooked pasta in a 9x13-inch 23x33cm baking dish that has been greased. Then add half of the meat sauce, half of the mozzarella cheese, and half of the pepperoni, olives, green bell peppers, and mushrooms that have been sliced. Do the layers again. Place the baking dish in a hot oven and bake for 25 minutes with the foil covering it. Take off the foil and bake the casserole for another 10 to 15 minutes, until it's bubbling and the cheese is melted and starting to turn a little brown. Before you serve it, let it cool down for a while. Have fun with your tasty pizza casserole!
