Aunt & Niece chat

This is just a writing I wanted to try, I have a fic in progress with these two people.

Sienna was sitting in the castles garden drinking tea when her niece Ruby showed up and sat across from her.
Ruby: aunt Sienna, I have a question.
Sienna: yes Ruby you can ask me anything.
Ruby: so we both have silver eyes.
Sienna: the last I looked at you and when I looked in the mirror.
Ruby: well we both know how they work and I unlocked my eyes when I saw pyrrha die.
Sienna: yes your father told me, I’m so sorry.
Ruby: it’s ok I’m better now but that’s not what I wanted to say.
Ruby: have you awakened it? Has melody or the others.
Sienna: well as far as I know aunt Cordelia can’t, neither can Catherine, Ophelia, and melody.
Sienna: and if Melody had unlocked it believe me I would have known as her mother.
Ruby: what about grandma?
Sienna: my mother can’t and even though her title is the destroyer, she has never experienced such an emotion to unlock the power.
Sienna: but to answer your question Ruby yes I’ve unlocked it.
Ruby: how?
When her niece had asked her that question Sienna’s mind went straight towards that day. The day her best friend was murdered by someone she trusted.
Sienna remembers looking at her first friends corpse with her eyes still opened but her face remained frozen.
She remembered sobbing into her hands then feeling something inside her snap and the next thing she knew everything was turning white as she sobbed out Rowans name.
When Sienna opened her eyes she noticed and remembered a few things. She noticed her head was hurting, she noticed that she was in the infirmary, and she remembered that Rowan is dead.
She remembers when the nurse came to check on her the witch froze in place at the sight of the younger witch.
Sienna’s eyes had reverted back from blue to silver and her hair from blonde to a coral color and on her face were two suns in the same color as her hair.
When the professor McGonagall, snape and headmaster Dumbledore saw her they were all stunned, including Snape which was extremely rare.
When they tried to question Sienna on what happened she didn’t speak at all, instead Ben and Merula spoke for her on the events.
And in that moment everything truly caught up with Sienna, it started with her trusting rakepick so much which ended up with Sienna being groomed and manipulated by that woman and ending with the death of her best friend.
Sienna didn’t notice when tears started to fall down her face and the one to rub them away was her first enemy now her first love, Merula.
The two have been secretly dating for a while, acting like rivals in public and being together in private, it was originally Merula’s idea and even though Sienna was a skeptical at first she did like the idea of sneaking around and being romantic.
Merula: you alright? That was a stupid question don’t answer it.
Sienna: I will be, eventually.
Sienna laid her head on her partners shoulder and continued to silently cry for the loss of her friend and for how stupid she felt.
And it wasn’t long before even more events happened to Sienna and her friends. She was told someone broke rakepick out of jail so then Sienna was constantly being watched my teachers as a precaution.
Then someone “tipped off” the ministry which was a lie to frame Sienna but it did work and ended with Sienna fleeing Hogwarts just hours after graduation and return to her own reality.
Sienna remembers all of it perfectly and it would have been repeated in her head even more if her nieces voice hadn’t snapped her out of it.
Ruby: aunt Sienna!
Sienna: oh! I’m sorry Ruby I was just thinking about your question.
Ruby: you don’t have to answer it, really.
Sienna: no Ruby listen, I lost my first friend when I was not much older then you are now. So my advice is this, hold onto the happy memories and don’t think about what you could have done cause it will eat you alive.
Ruby: alright, thank you aunt Sienna!
Sienna: anytime Ruby, now go and find your cousins I’ll handle the paperwork you procrastinated on.
Sienna watched her niece run away in a flurry of rose petals and continued to drink her tea smiling while remembering the first time her and Rowan played gobstones.
