Hank Voight - never held Justin accountable for his actions or let him face any consequences, lied to Erin a lot and usually just supported her in ways that were beneficial to him, has a secret history with Bunny outside of old CI stuff that the show mentioned/alluded to but never elaborated on

Robert Haywood - abandoned Reese, emotionally abusive, serial killer

Patrick Halstead - emotionally abusive, manipulative

Mr. Upton - physically abusive, alcoholic

Mr. Casey - they alluded to him being physically abusive sometimes on the show, had anger issues

Cornelius Rhodes - narcissistic rich scumbag, treats his daughter like dirt, tries to control Connor's life and goes out of his way to do so, uses his wife's death to hurt and manipulate Connor, they alluded that Cornelius had something to do with her death in season 1 of med but never did anything with it

Benny Severide - abandoned Kelly, manipulative, demonstrated lots of toxic masculinity, tried to undermine Kelly's stand in dad (Boden) because of DNA, womanizer, serial cheater

Here's your resident angster with thoughts about Will 😈

What is your thought on Will not being Pat's kid in a hypothetical scenario where Will is the older brother and his biological father being where he gets his red hair and brown eyes?

(I know genetics work differently and all that jazz, but for the sake of this thought...)

On a second thought, this might be too elaborate question while you wait for a football game lol, but it me, I had to.

Hi my love!!! I know nothing about football except how to clap when other people clap, so I welcome the thoughts!!

My goodness, though, Will being Jay's half brother instead of full blood is interesting. I'm imagining in this theoretical that Jude (my hc for their mom's name) had Will with an ex, with red hair and brown eyes who Will does resemble a lot, who ran off when Will was just a baby. Jude, who had this baby to take care of, found a nice man who loved her and didn't care that she had a kid and treated Will as his own, even going as far as to adopt him and give him the name Halstead (he had the dad's last name before). But then they had Jay and Jay looks so much like Pat that Pat doesn't realize he acts a little different with the two. He's more distant and not as invested with Will, even if he's still present and as loving as he knows how to be. It's not obvious, but Will still feels it as he's becoming an adult. He tries not to let it get to him, but it does. It really does. He's never known anyone other than Pat, and looking at his dad love him a little less than Jay??? Hurts him a lot, and he never really lets that go, even if he figures out how to forgive and make amends with Pat before he dies.

Nikki meeting Patrick Halstead when he is checked into Med

"Hey - Erin told me you were here, what's going on?" Nikki slowed to a stop, breathless and concerned as Jay turned to face her.

"Dad's heart. He was alright but the clip they put on his valve came loose -"

"God, Jay, I'm sorry -" She pulled him in for a hug. It took her back to being a kid again, the way he'd been there for her after losing Frank. Only, at the very least, Jay's relationship with his father was better than what she'd had.

"They brought him back from surgery about thirty minutes ago... He's stable," he explained as she let him go. Hands fell to their sides until Jay reached for Nikki, fingers curling around hers.

"You should come in and see him. I think he'd like it."

"Okay." Inside Patrick Halstead's hospital room, he was sat up and awake. Nikki stayed at the foot of his bed, whilst Jay took a seat by his side.

"Pop, do you remember Nikki? She lived around the corner -"

"The feisty blonde?" he wheezed and they all shared a soft laugh at his recollection.

"Come here, let me get a look at you -" He gestured for Nikki to get closer and she obliged.

"Hi, Mister Halstead. It's been a while, huh?"

"Look at you..." She smiled with nostalgic tears in her eyes.

"Yeah, I guess I've changed a bit since the last time you saw me, right?"

"Not as much as you think."

I don't want to spoil anything (I also have to fully catch up) but there's an episode in s9 that apparently brings to light the fact that Ricky may not be The Best nickname for him

I like it! And that was the original suggestion but when I gave him the nickname Ricky there was someone who advised against it and then I found out why 🥲🥲

I still love it but I'm a sucker for nicknames 🤷🏼‍♀️
