Relatively quick little pencil test, based off one of my own photos. I was trying to decide whether I should draw the next steam engine with pen (as originally planned) or in pencil; the latter is more sensitive to pressure and generally misbehaves less. However, I hadn’t drawn anything with pencil in years. Hence this trial run. I used a very fine fineliner for the linework here, since a previous pencil-test-dolphin turned out a bit too vague to my liking. But I’m happy with how this looks, so the engine will be drawn in the same way. Expect updates on that one soon :)
