Recently the amazing Kelly Whyte released Lineages of the Long White Cloud. This amazing supplement for 5th edition Dungeons and Dragons introduces magic items, monsters, and even playable species inspired by the wildlife of Aotearoa New Zealand.

As the creator encourages homebrew, I tried my hand at some of my own! Meet the pekapeka: fun furry bat folk based on our native short-tailed bats.

An #etsyorder for a lovely customer in USA. She asked for a newborn black and silver #beyondpuerperium and a matching hat. The #potae hat designed by the same designer #kellyvanniekerk #pekapeka goes fantastically. I did have fun using done silver thread in the design. I didn’t use loads as the thread was slightly scratchy so it was only on the yoke which would have a layer underneath. On the hat I did a layer of stitching over the silver rows do that wouldn’t itch baby’s tender head. I found some super silver buttons at #bathandwest #ceaftshow which I felt brought the outfit together!
