not rbing this post because op clearly has their own weird men to think about, i don't want to bother them with mine. but i wanted to share it anyway because it made me think of tom & gerri and like

the way it was originally inspired by reece's time on the dole, and the flat they shared, and i'm just like. i'm imagining them filming it, and steve being reminded of those days, and seeing reece as tom all pathetic and sad and vulnerable and manipulable, remembering him as he was in his 20s, taking pleasure in seeing reece willingly regress to that state :) both walking onto the set and suddenly being deeply viscerally reminded of what they used to get up to together in that flat before they each settled down with their wives :)

On a sidenote about the whole subject I just love Steve being so unabashed and almost proud about being a bit tubby meanwhile Reece is like obsessed with staying thin, he probably loveesss the contrast when they're next to each other, just a goldmine of weight stuff when it comes to both of them 😭😭

& YES UGH they go together so perfectly!! reece on the one hand wanting more contrast / wanting to be the skinny one... on the other hand being a judgemental little bastard who can't resist making comments about steve's weight, starting with light teasing that gets more + more cruel as it becomes clear that steve isn't ruffled by it.....

and 1000% definitely calling him a pig at some point, since their shared braincell clearly likes that word a lot (they're right)... knowing that has almost definitely happened irl makes me. so happy :))

ough i wonder if they both got called pig(let) at a formative age 🫠 only reece reacted by trying to stay thin forever, whereas steve reacted by. well. leaning into it!!

Going insane watching steve + reece interviews and like even the way they LOOK at people is so

Like reece always has his head tilted up and doesn't make much eye contact, back straight and fidgeting the whole time meanwhile steve is locked onto whoever's speaking with, full kubrick stare and shoulders hunched forward 😭 idk not even making any kind of point here just yapping but they're so opposites and steve is so damn intimidating (and hot)

reece is SUCH a fidgeter and eye contact avoider, sometimes it's like steve is almost trying to balance him out with the staring 💀 he's so still and calm sometimes it genuinely tips into being scary and weird. to me. as you say, intimidating and hot. it goes hand in hand with the impression he gives of just always being in control of any situation, and carefully thinking things through. "i can be overanalytical." he often looks like he's concentrating really hard on something, but it's not always totally clear what it is

and inevitably the little tongue comes out like mlem before disappearing again. maybe a sliiight smile :} not cold exactly but. something vaguely predatory or robot au about it sometimes

ime asking steve questions at q&as is the most intimidating thing ever. he's very lovely and kind, but having him stare right at you like that, clearly taking in what you're saying but not reacting to it, is very intense. i definitely hesitate/stammer more than usual when talking to him. in the horrorcon panel you can literally hear how relieved i am when he smiles slightly during my Q because it was like oh thank god daddy's not mad at me everything's going to be okay

in general reece & steve acting in ways that complement each other like this... nothing better 💘 thank you again for the ask i love thinking about this 🥰
