Got a few more sketches I need to work up. One commission and a few con badges. If time allows, inking will follow for a bit! :)
It's all happening… in The Twilight316 Zone.
Seeya there!
While I do really like it rough, I often find myself dissatisfied, especially lately with my lack of viable drawing options.
This set of pencils are the only set I feel comfortable drawing with, in the physical sense. They are the only ones that physically, feel right to me, drawing with. But it gets frustrating trying to draw details when the textures are so crusty, and you can only do so much by reducing the size.
I tried recently doing something I used to do in the past which was turn this pencil brush into an inking brush using the "watercolour" tools. But, it looked so bad and stiff that I deleted it all.
I wish I could find a happy medium between being too overly smooth, and being so crusty I cant hardly put in those small details, all while being comfortable for me to draw with :-/
So far, and what is no joke probably a hundred pencil brushes or more over the years and I still havent found the one. It may be impossible.
Messy pencils.
I'm so sorry, but I'm not ready to give up on the age of Krakoa.
He’s a good boy.. got that golden retriever energy
And hey, who doesn’t like to see what goes into the sausage?
Before the days of computer pencilling, I pencilled my comic pages at print size (sometimes on tracing paper). Final art sale has a bunch of vintage 2000AD pieces of this nature. DM for gallery and info.
