I feel like the absolute best au for spideypool would be a Penelope!au. Wades scars are caused by a curse from his great something grandpa and Peter is a broke college kid who gets mistaken for Harry and he just goes with it cause he needs the money. I just really want a Penelope spideypool au.

so i’ve decided that ariel’s last name is fishbach. it went something like this:

“hmmm need a last name... finns? everyone uses finns. benson is kind of funny, but i dunno. finnley? finnish? i can’t get over the fin pun. uhhh what’s a mermaid... they’re fishyyyyyy -- fishbach? THAT’S MARKIPLIER’S LAST NAME THO”

Both are so beautifully drawn, it’s hard to decide! I loved the movie, so am a little biased towards pig-like Belle.

okay, so basically TIED AT 2-2 lol

penelope is one of my favorite movies ever, so i also have such a soft spot for the pig. not to mention i don't think the public would react so favorably to a reptile lady, also she'd have more issues disguising herself, so the pig is a pretty reasonable choice!

Both are nice ,but love the lizard.But Penelope the movie was pig-like.i am not helping,lol.

PIG!!! …but I might be biased. In all seriousness, the piggy version is ADORABLE.

I KNOW RIGHT she's so cute... now i think i'm leaning towards pig actually. UGH WHY IS THIS SO HARD 8U

so that's pretty much all the named characters in the movie. i tried to pick the best match for each character but i also wanted to make some things different. there's some nifty little twists i have in mind for both ariel and jefferson because of their ages and what not. also i thought maurice actually fit better into the "controlling parent" part while colette seems more relaxed to me.

as far as my plans for this au, it's going to follow the movie as much as possible i think, but expect a few major and minor differences here and there 8)
