Ok we’ve established Thomas does whatever Martha wants, but what about Alfred? Does he follow her every word? If so, is Thomas given the same treatment? Does he challenge her directives if he thinks she’s going too far? Does he ever ask Thomas to? What about in regards to Bruce? Is Martha’s word still law? Or is it a collaborative approach?

Thinking about a line I read in a fic recently: “Because I am your husband, I will do as you say.”
Alfred picks up on this and follows Thomas’ example. But you’re right, he does have the unique ability to check Martha if absolutely needed, because Thomas would never.
I think Alfred and Thomas secretly refer to Martha as “The General” and take her marching orders as they are. She hates them (but secretly enjoys the nickname) and Bruce isn’t old enough to quite pick up on the whole dynamic.
